Fantastic place! The sweetest and warmest staff welcomes you and you quickly become friends with all of them.My girlfriend and I had planned our trip first to Pongwe and later to Nungwi, but since we had so much privacy and were surrounded by such great people at Santa Maria Coral park, we chose to stay here for the remainder of the holiday. The cabins are delicious, large and beautiful and the whole resort is well thought out regarding places to relax and chill during the day.The food is the best we got on the whole of Zanzibar, we tried a lot of food on trips to Stone Town and Nungwi, (perfectly arranged by the Resort) and on the nearby restaurants, but no food could match what we got here.Thank you so much to the kitchen for the amazing food! Thanks to Naomi and Musa for the great service and thanks to Yasser for making our vacation absolutely perfect! Hope too see you all again one day.

Quite a clean cool beach resort. The staff needs to be serious at work. Petting and fondling each others in the presence of the guests.

Amazing place to stay and good for eat also!

Got deathly sick. Food poisoned from a bad piece of fish at their restaurant. Water issues as well, off and on. Of course it stops when in the shower full of soap. Beach filthy in front. Left after one day. I wont return. Definitely not 3 star... Id give it 1.5.

Very secluded and private hotel. Great beach, but unswimmable at low tides. Very shallow at high tide. The pool saves the day. Very good staff. Beautiful jungle like tropical feel. Downside: no air conditioners in the rooms.

So pretty hotel, silent place, not too much tourists, situated on the beach. We were here just to take a rest after quad trip and had drinks on the beach bar.

This review is for the restaurant only...we stayed next door and needed a change and this place was very good! We went for lunch and they had a small menu ( seafood/chicken curry, grilled fish, etc..) and it was tasty! We will come back for dinner!

Spent an afternoon here. Quaint place. Lots of mangroves. Beach isnt very clean. Lunch was mediocre. Portions on the small side. Waiting time was very lengthy.Positively, quiet and relaxing afternoon. no beach boys who tend to pester. Staff also were discreet.Wold visit again but only for a coffee and the view.

Was not staying at this place only came for food several times - food was great and at the very reasonable price. Stayed in next door hotel Pongwe Bay Resort - most beautiful resort but food was so terrible there - had to look for other places to eat and thats how we found Santa Maria! Recommend fresh fish - perfectly grilled...

This place is worth to visit if nearby. Staff and views are nice. Service is above average and staff is helpful to make decision. If you look something authentic you wont be disappointed, when coming here. It is easy to have a quick bite if youre hungry. In case of limited availability nearby stalls will deliver if needed.

Amazing outdoor experience here, the sound of the waves, beach walks. You will love going coral expeditions, were you will see see life you would normally be able to see.

I was only there for a short while on my quad bike. I recommend cider 🍻 perfectly chills and rinses the throat of dust.

Not all reality is as in the photos presented by the resort. Beaches full of seaweed, after low tide no one solves, just a weak attempt at cleaning.
