Fantastic place, didnt stay in the accommodation, but had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. All lovely food, brilliant staff, all super friendly, and the pool is just lovely! Would definitely stay here if I ever came back to Zanzibar.

Not worth the money we paid for. The location is nice, with a beautiful sea view. Weve been waiting for an hour to get a smoothie and a coffee.The meals were ok, not so delicious, but the portion size were fine.

We greatly enjoyed our recent stay. Charming and attentive hosts and staff, great breakfasts and other vegetarian meals. A fun swimming pool, with weaver birds nesting in the coconut palm trees above. Wonderful beach views from the first floor open air restaurant, great DJ/ saxophonist in the evenings while chilling out on the beach seating. Highly recommended !

Great view and nice atmosphere. The prices are relatively high for Paje, but unfortunately the food was only average. We didnt have to wait long, but the food was cold.

We spent 5 days, and it was an amazing experience. Our room was on the second floor, very comfy( the bed is perfect ), also the shower like half outdoor and its so unique. The hot water, the air conditioner is good. The staff is friendly, no one bothers you, its like a home. The food is mostly healthy and organic. I will definitely recommend that place. They did a very good job in making this hotel appear simple and natural. The staff are very friendly and the food is very good. We really felt like at home. It is a bit more expensive than the rest of the hotels but its worth it. If you are looking for a quiet stay whether for couples, friends or families then this is the best place to stay in Paje.

Pizza we ordered was worse that the frozen ones from the supermarket, smoothie was without any taste and the prices were higher comparing to the other restaurants in the neighborhood. Anyway the place has a really cool design and it is cozy. The view is great and staff kind, so probably it’s a better place to grab a beer or have a drink ;)

Good quality of food, good and welcoming staff, normal prices. Four starts and not five, because is super glamorous for no reason for a place like zanzibar(other people may like this), very slow service(1 hour to prepair your food even there where 25 employees for 5 customers everyday) and during my stays there, was a lot of noise from the constructions that they where doing.

Very mixed experience staying at The Nest.The positive:1. The all vegetarian menu is amazing, especially as everywhere else you always have the same choice of seafood and meat of which you really get tired after a while. The vegetarian menu at The Nest gives a luxurious diversity in terms of food.2. The local staff working there is amazing. So friendly, so heartwarming, just amazing, you can‘t not love them, even if everything is a bit slow, but thats just the Zanzibari lifestyle.3. The location is good, in the middle of everything in Paje, sometimes you hear music at night, but you can‘t complain about that if you book your stay in the middle of Paje, actually thats the point of staying there.The negative:1. The non local staff, with very few exceptions, is not making you feel welcome in any way. They don‘t even greet you. You meet them when you walk through the resort and they look away, almost as if they are afraid of you. Being a good host that makes you feel welcome as a guest is really not something they offer. Quite the opposite, they don‘t make you feel welcome in any way. Very poor hospitality, 3 points out of 10.2. Waaaaay overpriced. For 300 USD we booked a pool bungalow, its all brand new but looks like its already at the end of its lifespan. Its worth 100-150 USD, considering what you can get in and around Paje. Really badly built, finish is aweful. I would never come back for this price, rather stay somewhere else and eat at The Nest.3. The pool area is more or less dead. No one hangs there, everyone at the seafront. The amazing Instagram marketing is MILES away from reality.

I spent 7 days here (honeymoon), Its an incredible place, well contructed, with a great location, super friendly staff, nice decorated rooms (great bathrooms).The people that you will find in The Nest is fabulous, the vibe is awesome, the people in charge of the Kite School are really cool and proffesional. If you are a Kiter its hard to think in a better place than this one............Food is also great.I will come back surely, many thanks The Nest Team!!.

Fantastic place , the atmosphere was great all around , the experience of the beautiful beach and sky blue water accompanied with great the lovely and careful staff ga e us one of the best experiences around the island.

A beautiful location and beautiful architecture. But…. The noise! You cannot enjoy your meal or drink because of the loud music during the day and in the evening it gets even worse. Forget about a relaxing night of sleep, even for a party animal like me, this was unacceptable. It seems the staff don’t care about their customers.Advice for the owners and staff, have your party evening a week and inform your customers and have them enjoy the piece and quiet of the beach the other nights.

Not cheap but worth the money. They only offer vegetarian food, which I found awesome. Veggie burger was very good

Stay away! You will never get a night’s sleep here due to the non-stop 24h building work going on. They are constructing all through the night making a lot of noise not letting you get any sleep. After complaining they simply DO NOT CARE and just carry on. Just book elsewhere if you want to rest or get any sleep. Absolutely appalling.

This places is outrageous! They are constantly building and doing works, drilling and hammering all throughout the night, until 6am! You literally dont get a moments peace. There is no way you can sleep or stay here. This has kept us awake for many nights. We have complained but they just ignore and carry on working through the night. The restaurant is overpriced for average food and drinks. Supposedly fresh smoothies are at best the cheapest store-bought juice. Very dissapointing.

The Nest is my favourite place in Paje! If you want to chill, work or eat, this is the place to be. The food is delicious, healthy and tasty. Staff is so professional and nice. They really care from you, they give you pillow if you need it without asking or stuff like this. In terms of professionalism and attention, the nest’s staff is the best I have found in Zanzibar.Installations are so stylish and they propose yoga class. Marina, the yoga teacher give super class of Hatha Yoga. This place was my second home. I highly recommend !! 🙏🏼🤍

I have tasted only restorant, pasta was super, the interior very interesting, wooden tables, lamps, etc. Nice place with good service.

I visited more than 30 countries in the last 4 years and this place definitely got me! For me this is the best place in Paje (and not only). Nice crew, delicious food, the best kitesurfing school on the island

Had a really bad experience at the restaurant, we waited 1hour and 30min for food then our mains got served before our starters, one of the mains was the wrong meal but took it anyway instead of waiting another 90min for it to be corrected, then when we received our bill it was almost 4 times the actual amount written on a paper napkin, when we ask to see what we are paying for the waitress was back in 2 min with an actual printed receipt.

A very cool place. A bit high prices. Tasty pizza and good rolls. Plus for paper straws and we got juice as a gift for long waiting time for the dish (they had traffic). I would give 4 stars but there is a monkey locked in the garden ...

The first place that surprised me negatively. Pretty expensive place. Very nice, but instead of freshly squeezed juices, which were not cheap, we got water diluted with juice, which was impossible to drink. We gave up after trying and unfortunately there was no response from the restaurant. Lost money

The stars, unfortunately, only for the view. The ambience is actually great, but the whole gastronomic process is a disaster. Waiting over two hours for a ready-made pesto with cold gnocchi is just really not nice.The place is very nice to sit down and drink coffee, but only with a lot of time and not hungry :)

One star is already too much.European prices with Gastronomic Standard China 1980.You have 10 seconds to choose the menu, then the untrained staff stands in front of you cheekily: “What would you like to eat?” Notice that you arrived 10 seconds ago is ignored and you will be back in front of the table in 2 minutes. ^^The staff is also not interested in private conversations: they will interrupt you and put you between them. The very last!Food is served separately in spite of 3 people: DThere wasnt really any coffee made from beans either (machine broken) - instead there was cold instant coffee. Much noise during our stay ... the hotel is under construction. They moved us to a lower room that did not face the sea but it was the only solution to not have noise. (That same day that we were transferred, the entire room was flooded by the shower) Although they gave us back part of the money, it was not what we wanted ... but a quiet room that overlooks the sea. Extremely expensive hotel for the services provided. Very poorly trained staff without a reference to solve problems. We chose it as an option since it is a kite area but for that money there are thousands of better alternatives !! Do not be fooled by the cool of the place

We only tested the Nest restaurant and loved it!Absolutely delicious 100% vegetarian menu!Sophisticated cuisine, fresh dishes, very well seasoned and plentiful.Special mention for the parmesan cups a treat!Go there with your eyes closed

We ate at the restaurant in the evening. The place is top notch as well as the waiters and especially Calvis but everything is falling apart on the part of a boss in very bad faith. We had BIG fruit juices but the glass felt small. After comparison it turns out that the Small and Big have the same capacity for a difference of 4000 shilling. We showed it to the boss who kind of didnt understand and didnt know about it. However, no gesture on his part. Too bad to rip people off like that.Be careful or go your way.

Perfect on paper, but our adventure quickly turned into many unpleasant surprises.We had reserved a room facing the ocean. When we arrived we noticed that it was right above the reception / bar, reception or EVERY day non stop until late at night the music could be heard from our room.When I went downstairs to try to find a solution, I was told that the solution was the earplugs.Poor service throughout the stay for a service sold excessively expensive- no staff training- on a workforce lacking in common sense- image given by the hotel at the height of hypocrisy: presents itself as eco responsible and respectful of nature but uses the trees that were probably uprooted during the construction of the hotel to carry their sign The Nest and on the go- restaurant which calls itself Vegan but which has nothing other than bad products, poorly cooked and especially not local; Im not going to Tanzania to eat Vol au Vent and bad French Toast- noise nuisance at will, going as far as spending a sleepless night even after following the advice of earplugs- stingy policy that goes so far as to save on fruit and coffee in zanzibarIn short, a magnificent place slaughtered by the whites who came to build a hypocritical hotel, overpriced with mediocre services while taking advantage of the local riches.

It is worth visiting this place, not only because of the amazing food, but above all because of the amazing architecture.
