Very nice diving center. Fun, feels personal, accommodating. I took my open water courses there and the instructor was very careful and did everything for me to be at ease. I felt very confident diving with him. I highly recommend. We went various places and saw many things (all kind of fish, turtles, dolphins, beautiful corals…)

Amazing dive at 2 Tumbatu spots with friendly divers. There were only 4 of us +1 dive master and I have enjoyed both dives(each around 50 minutes, max depth 16m)

My first experience with their dive shop was so memorable - I returned the following weekend and brought more divers with us. Florian was able to accommodate our changing needs as the group interested grew. We dove with an experienced, a newly certified, a refresh certified and 3 discovery dives. And on the boat was 2 other couples. The crew did a great job organizing the chaos and ensuring our safety. The owner Florian dove with us and even made us lunch for our 1.5 hour boat journey to Mnemba Atoll. Three of us dove with Jeremaya - who was friendly and fun. While our 3 discover friends dove with Masoud (our divemaster the previous weekend), who has a contagious smile, works hard, and is extremely helpful/on point during a dive. I highly recommend this team and Florians business - from safety to site selection - this team was outstanding.

Great diving centre, very professional and reliable! I had never dived before and they took me through all the theory a day before my dive, we also did some exercices to practice. The actual dive was great, we were a small group of 3 people and saw loads of fishes, I even chose to do a second dive as I really enjoyed the first one! Florian was very welcoming, I would definitely choose Diving Poseidon again.

Just returned from 2 weeks vacation on Zanzibar which also included 8 days of diving with Diving Poseidon, including 2 days Mnemba, 1 day Tumbatu and 1 dive on Leven Bank. Great dives: lots of interesting fish, especially on Shane’s reef: leaf fish, frog fish, crocodile fish, weedy scorpionfish….also a few Napoleons and king fish and lots of nudis – can’t name all here! Simply beautiful. Florian and Masoud are both great at finding you the most hidden critters. Captain and help are also nice, friendly, and always helpful - good team atmosphere. Diving is off a beautiful dhow, very comfortable with lots of space and roof for shade. Also actually easy to get on and off (was wondering about that beforehand but no problems) – after dive kit is taken off in water and handed to the very helpful staff that pulls it up and there is a ladder. Before dive you gear up at the shop and staff carries it to boat, so very comfortable holiday diving much appreciated by my back. Very safe and relaxed at the same time – felt they watched out for my teenage boys without them even noticing. We did not do any training with them but some days we had an open water diver with us who had just completed his training with Diving Poseidon - which could have been annoying seen the different level of experience but he kept up with no problem at all so either that guy was very gifted or their training must be really great! So all in all I can only recommend Diving Poseidon - we had a great time.

Relaxed diving school under new Management! Florian took over the management and I always felt welcome and treated like a friend. Equipment and boat are under good condition and the crew is amazing. They organize everything for you and you just need to carry your fins in the morning to the boat

Best diving in Nungwi and probably Zanzibar! The all local crew knows the reefs and spots the best and will make sure, that you have an amazing diving experience. Florian as new manager is just fun and sweet. All are very skilled and will give you a safe and relaxed space to enjoy your dives. I couldnt recommend it more. Make sure to dive at Shanes, Hunga and Tumbatu! And watch out for the small things.

My fiancée and myself had a few really nice dives on the island with the poseidon crew. During the dives we were able to spot turtles, octopuses, big and small sea horses and a crocodile fish (just to name few)! The gear was in very good condition and the boat spacy and most important...covered! The dive groups were small (up to 5 pax) and the guide takes good care of you (even if you have to descend realy slow due to issues with equalizing) - you never feel stressed at all. The communication with Flo (the Owner) was very straightforward and uncomplicated. Thus, if you are looking for a nice and cool dive on the island...Poseidon is the dive center you look for! Good job guys, anytime again!

Florián is an amazing instructor and really good guy. This is a small local dive shop employing local people - all of whom were professional, kind, and compassionate. 11/10 would recommend.

Did my Padi OWD with Diving Poseidon. Masoud (our instructor) and the whole team gave us enough time to learn and made us feel safe and comfortable at all time. Communication with Ilse and Bernhard was nice and everything was perfectly organized. Thanks again for opening a new world for us!

Im certified OWD and my partner was wanting to do a Discover Scuba Dive. Florian (owner) was extremely friendly, laid back and communicative about what day might be best for diving and willing to work with our schedules. He also was able to offer a better price than the competitors. He was clear and concise in the instruction for Discover diver and even sent a few photos following the dive - which was an awesome touch. He arranged for a taxi from our hotel rather than paying the hotel prices $$. The dive was lovely, the crew were friendly, and lunch provided was delicious.

Diving center in the center of Nungwi.I was lucky enough to be able to dive for several days in a row with 3 different dive masters but all of them extremely friendly.The big plus is to go scuba diving on a local boat (beautiful and authentic all in wood) I loved it! And the captain was great.The Frenchman who runs the club makes sure not to dive on the same sites that we have already done. I highly recommend this club.

We dived for 4 days with my wife and we were very satisfied. The team is very good. They know the diving spots well. The boat is well covered and protected from the scorching sun of Zanzibar. I highly recommend diving with Diving Poseidon if you are staying in Nungwi area

I came for a week to dive in Zanzibar and I did 15 dives at Diving Poseidon, Florian gave good advice beforehand to prepare for this trip and the dives were top! I recommend the night dive which was superb!

The French boss is super nice to listen and super responsive to answer whether on WhatsApp or by email. His teams are caring and hyper attentive and well intentioned.I recommend this dive center, we did two dives on two different dive points it was not a problem.

We had a wonderful time in Zanzibar thanks to Bernhard and Ilse from Diving Poseidon! They had put together a perfect package for us: airport transfer, hotel, OWD diving course for my husband and a 4-dive package including refresher for me. Everything went great. Bernhard is a very professional and patient instructor, the quality of the diving equipment was great, the entire crew was highly motivated and attentive. We saw a beautiful underwater world with huge coral reefs including turtle and dolphins ...We were able to plan my husbands course days flexibly so that we had enough time to enjoy this paradisiacal island and I could do my dives together with my husbands open water sessions. Was the first 14 days in March 2017 in Zanzibar and 5 days diving there. Everything planned from Germany, reserved and paid for via PayPal. Was picked up by car for the first time directly from the hotel because I had my equipment with me, although the journey was only 6 minutes long. Perfect care by Ilse & Bernhard including the team. International guests, mainly Austrians and Swiss. I can only recommend it to everyone. Dive sites not deep but there is a lot to see. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Top diving base with French Florian as the boss. You can get by very well with English. The boat and crew were very good. The guide on the boat also speaks English. Cheaper than other diving centers in Nungwi.Also organizes pick-up from the airport with Driver Bamanga (great driver and speaks very good English and a few words in German) for 30 USD. Bamanga can also be booked for tours. We recommend!Go out with just one diving customer. I had it once and two times only someone else was with me.Very nice dive sites that did not repeat themselves in 5 days of diving (10 dives). Booked a 10-pack with your own equipment for 350 USD. Mnemba Island is a marine park for which there is an additional $ 30. At all other diving spots there are no extra costs, as is required at some other diving centers.All in all a dive center that can be highly recommended!

We were two complete freshwater divers and still dared to go into the water. The prior arrangement with Florian went without any problems, he can even write emails in perfect German! We checked the internet beforehand and really wanted to go diving in the Mnemba National Park, which was made possible for us without any problems even with two dives.We only did a beginner diving course. And since we are both good swimmers, with great respect for seas and oceans, he unfortunately had a relatively difficult time with us at the beginning. But Florian, as an expert, did not let himself be disturbed and managed to show us the beautiful underwater world, despite initial difficulties.The crew are also excellent and super nice guys who know what to do. It was my first diving experience. Florian, the owner of the center, is a very good instructor, very pedagogue, he immediately put me at ease. Diving club located in Nungwi, on the large square in front of the school, owned by a French (Florian) which makes things easier. The organization is perfect, the local boat spacious and the staff friendly. I have dived on Tumbatu, Mnemba Islands as well as local sites and all sites were interesting with different marine life. The rules are respected, the team is smiling and professional, good humor and passion are present! The water was ultra clear, perfect conditions to meet all kinds of aquatic species.One of the best moments: the passage of a dozen dolphins very close to me during my dive!I recommend without hesitation!

I recommend Poseidon to all lovers and professionals) I chose a dive center while I was still at home, and a wonderful instructor Florian answered me very quickly and clearly in whatsapp and I immediately realized that it was a reliable and good dive center! I needed to take open water to get Padi owd and all four dives were just super! Florian patiently explained the theory, drove me through all the exercises, helped to cope with the excitement! During the dive, Florian drew my attention to interesting fish, we even saw a flock of dolphins under water! Everything was at the highest level, after training I quickly received an e-certificate, this is also a big plus, so the dive center worked quickly and honestly, I heard that some centers take money for a certificate and you don’t get it later! And here everything is fast and without problems! Separately, I want to say about the equipment, everything is in good condition, a large size range (I needed a super small size))) everything is in stock, they assemble everything themselves, choose the right one! Poseidon diving is a diving center whose patron Florian is French. He has a very good contact and when you come to his center, you immediately feel safe in a very professional environment. Florian is very available and enjoys chatting.I did two dives around Tumbatu Island. The local instructors are very friendly and professional. Security is there. The funds on this site are preserved and quite pretty. If you dive in zanzibar, do not hesitate, dive with Poseidon diving !!

Super baptism of diving with Florian, the Frenchie diving instructor from Zanzibar.2 dives of 55mn each at 2 different places. Florian was able to reassure us, make us share his passion so that this baptism is an unforgettable moment in a dream place. I recommend him 300%, he has a small structure in Nungwi which suffers from covid and which deserves to be valued.

Everything was just right. The day before we should try our equipment, which was brought directly to the boat by the staff of the diving school on the day of the dive. There was always fresh fruit, cookies and enough fruit on the boat. The diving guides were very nice and really tried hard, the diving school owner Florian was also very friendly and always open to concerns. We would definitely go diving at this diving school again.During our dives we saw seahorses, turtles and a crocodile fish, as well as banner fish, trigger and doctor fish.

Diving with Florian ... great. He is French and speaks excellent English. Great guide with a good eye for everything that is worth seeing. The guides in his team are all great and all speak good English and some also German. The diving is from a medium-sized wooden boat with a ladder. There is always fresh fruit and water between the dives. If something goes on there is an extra snack. I can only recommend Diving Poseidon!

It is a relaxed dive center under new management (Flo), with very friendly staff, good equipment and good prices. I dived in the most beautiful spots worldwide and had little expectations of Zanzibar. But I was taught a better. Mnemba I would call an aquarium. However, I liked the local spot Shanes reef the most. Definitely 5 stars for the diving school

I was in Zanzibar in September / October and spent a long time in Nungwi. I did a total of 11 dives at Ilse & Bernhard. I was very, very happy. A really nice & relaxed atmosphere, a great boat with shady spots, well maintained equipment (everything is really being prepared) & last but not least excellent divemasters who are good for a diver with not so much experience!
