Definitely our TOP-PICK in Nungwi in our budget. Weve tried 5 different guesthouses and checked around the same amount of other accommodation (just by walk in).Other places asking easily higher prices but giving much much less value.Vanilla is definitely the very best one weve seen and tried. Its just a 4-5min walk to the beautiful beach of Nungwi and the same distance to the tourist area with alot of restaurants, shops, souvenirshops etc. Small supermarket just 1-2min walk. Fruit shop and hair dressing shop just in front of the doors.The whole area is really spacious, made with so much love for the details, and decoration. The small pool is perfect to cool down or just play a bit in the water.The owner and staff is super friendly, kind and humble.The room comes with A SMALL FRIDGE (unique in this budget!), warm water, A/C, and a nice (refreshing windy) balcony to relax.Bed has super comfy mattress and mosquito nets.Id give it one star more than just 5. Its definitely THE TOP PICK for us here in Nungwi.

Very clean e peaceful bed and breakfast.Close to the main beach,rooms large ,clean an brights!Fresh breakfast every morning,everiting cooked at the moment.If you stay there,dont miss Anna pancakes,simple the best i have ever had!What to say about the two amazing owners! Their hospitality has been just amazing,we felt like at home!Donadella and Anna are the best host ever!

A very basic hotel with 7-10 rooms with friendly staff. I would say this is more of a guest house. The owners or managers, as I understand it, are an Italian family.To the beach 500m.The taxi rank is 300m away, where the area of ​​various restaurants begins.Nearby shops with food and drinks.For lower prices for fruits and food (not on the beach), you will already have to walk a couple of kilometers to the village of Nungwi, where the locals live.There is a pool, but more for decoration.The breakfasts are monotonous, but hearty. A couple of eggs, toast, fruit, tea or coffee.The room has the minimum necessary.Nice and powerful air conditioner which is important for a place like Zanzibar. Fan.Small refrigerator.The likeness of a wardrobe.Comfortable and large bed.There are mosquito nets on the windows.Nice patio where you can sit.Stable Wi-Fi anywhere.Of the minuses, pressure sometimes drops and water flows weakly (a couple of times a week it disappeared for half an hour), the electricity in the entire village is turned off for 5 minutes. Hotel far from ideal = /. Standard size room as for two people, however there is such a large bed which takes 3/4 of the room (no comfortable passage) and very very creaky. The air conditioning in the room was not working. The remote control was there, but nothing could be turned on = /. Breakfast is a buffet (if you can call it that), juice with bees inside (3 days in a row), lots of flies everywhere, nothing at all fun. Regarding the check-out on arrival, I said that it was our last stay on the island and we had a plane at 8pm and asked if we could stay in the room until 3pm, I was informed that of course. On the day of checking out at 9.30 am, I was informed that we had to check out by 10.00 and that our things allowed us to leave outside. After 2 p.m. I came to get my suitcases and the room was still empty. The gentleman even offered us a bath in exactly the room from which he quickly checked us out. I have stayed in several hotels on this island and this one was by far the worst. Zanzibar is beautiful, but this property is not. I give two stars because he was bass there = /
