We had a Toyota Land Cruiser & driver Jonathan for 2 days. All perfect. Super safe driving, flexible to meet our customer needs & very knowledgable about wildlife. And a very pleasant man to share a couple of days in his company. Would highly recommend.

We went on a 4-day family trip to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Masumin in December and we had the most fantastic time! It was my fiancé’s first time visiting Tanzania and their driver Johnathan delivered. Not only did he have a great sense of humour but his 35+ years experience as a driver has given him eyes sharper than a sniper. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to spot a leopard in a tree, 3 rhinos, 3 cheetahs, over 30 lions and countless other animals. It was a thrilling experience we will never forget. Car was new, clean and had working outlets to charge phones, cameras etc. If it is your first time going on safari do not hesitate to book with their manager Moh who will literally go out of his way to make sure you have a trip of a lifetime!

We went on a 4 day-camping safari in the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro with Masumins. We had a delightful experience, the chef cooked delicious food, and the driver was always happy to accommodate our plans although we would have been delighted with a bit more explanation about the game on his part. In four days we managed to see everything except a leopard. We also visited the Shifting Sands and Oldupai Gorge. The cost was very reasonable and we will be using Masumins again for the complete experience and value they provide.

Usually I only write 5-star-reviews because I like something a lot, but this time I have to write because I need to share my experience. So: We went on Masumins 2-day camping safari from Mwanza to Serengeti with a guide/driver and a cook. First of all the safari was really cool, our driver spotted a lot of animals, the cook made amazing food. So the safari itself is definitely a great thing to do. But: if you have the money, maybe better sleep in a lodge. The tents (that we had to build up ourselves by the way) were pretty old, the zippers not closing properly, which is not thaaaat bad. But the big problem we had, which I know is for sure going to be rigorously denied in a response under this review soon, is this: after we returned to Mwanza, three out of five people either had bed bug bites or found a living bed bug in-between their things. Considering that the five of us came from three different apartments and none of us had bed bug problems before, for me there was no doubt about bed bug problems in either the sleeping bags or foam mattresses or even tents that Masumin brought for us. We also came back to the office after our return to Mwanza to tell him about our bug problem but he just said it could not be possible that the bed bugs came from his equipment and that in his 30 year career this would have never happened before. Hmm. But anyways we had a stupid problem to get rid of since we were on a long term journey by bicycle. When we told him, Masumin voluntarily contributed 30.000 to our laundry costs, which we were happy to take. I dont want to interpret this as a confession of guilt, it might be pity or generosity. But before I had experienced him to be very grabby with regard to money. If you pay the price for the safari (which is labelled in USD) in tanzanian shilling, he will use the buy rate to calculate what you have to pay (Because he has to change the money to USD for the entrance fee - which is true only for a part of the money). Besides, I joined the safari tour later than the others and thus the price per person got lower. Instead of repaying my friends, that had payed before, the 7$ price difference, he made his employees return them a letter with an amount of shilling, that was of course not calculated with the buy-rate anymore but with even less than the sell rate. Its about little money, I know, but seeing the prices of safaris I really couldnt understand this pedant behavior.So, what should I say. I liked the safari, but bed bugs were the last animals I expected to see after it. I hope they followed my advice to wash their stuff on high temperature and well be the first and last tourists with this experience. Good luck!

Mohammed and Mehboob run their safari business with professionalism. We were a group of 8 and they took care us from beginning to end. Everything was meticulously planned from end to end. We started our adventure with a wonderful lunch close to the Serengeti Park gates followed by an epic safari. Our accommodations inside the park exceeded expectation. Our driver Ben was kind and considerate; had good knowledge of spotting animals; and had excellent driving skills. The safari was very good and we like to recommend. We could plan by our self the pickup point and time, also the camp. The car was top, the driver was very nice. He knows the places and also when talking with other drivers, he could find out where the rare animals were located. Also, we could say all the time when we like to stop somewhere on the road. We started in Arusha about 9.30am to Tarangire National Park. The next day was in Ngorongoro crater and the third day was in Lake Manyara National Park. We slept in a nice tent in Migombani campsite close to Lake Manyara. There was no mosquitos, which is very nice. We were in raining season at the safari, thats why all was very green. But also, it was a bit cold in the crater.

Thank you to Massumin for allowing us to realize a dream. From the beginning to the end of the safari it was perfect. Our driver was very friendly and always asked us if everything was ok. We saw the big five and so many other animals. We went from surprise to surprise during 3 days. Sleeping in the savannah was a great experience.Just thank you.To be recommended

This July we went for a 4 day safari with Masumin Tours to Serengeti and are we glad. Our guide Mr. Jonathan not only made sure we were super comfortable in the vehicle, but ensured we get to see excellent game and an amazing safari experience. We saw hyenas being pushed away by a lioness from its kill. An injured lion possibly by a buffalo. Wildebeest migration, large number of lions, and many other animals.

Amazing Safari, service and our driver, Hamadi was the best. Saw lots of animals, including 5 cheetahs and Hamadi made sure that we finished happy after 2 days.

In a group with only 3 people we had some wonderful 3 days on safari. We saw many, many wild animals as well as the migration of wildebeest in Serengeti which was particularly amazing. We were very happy with the easy planning and organization of the safari and the driver and cook were super friendly and we had a great time together!

We had a one day safari. Our guide/driver was very motivated to show us around the park, he was very collaborative with other guides; therefore, we managed to see many amazing animals like Lions, an Elephant, a family of cheetahs, a hyena, we saw may herbivors and even two leopards relaxing on a tree. The driver was also driving really well even though we were driving in muddy roads in the rain.

We just got back from our honeymoon and were so glad to have chosen Masumin Safaris to plan the itinerary for us. Every minor detail was taken care of on the all-inclusive trip to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara.From the time we were received at the Airport till the final drop off, Hamadi, our driver/guide, had been extremely friendly and patient with us through out the trip. He had been very flexible with our timings to ensure that we can make the most of it.Our Land Cruiser had been in an excellent condition and very comfortable even on the off-road tracks of the Parks. We could witness the Wildebeest and Zebra Migration very closely and saw ton of wildlife in their natural habitat.The choice of Hotels was outstanding and Mohamed had made sure we receive top notch service at every hotel. It was also nice being there during this time because most of the time we had the whole resort to ourselves due to very few tourists.Overall the trip was unforgettable! 6 other people and I went on a safari to Serengeti National Park in October of 2017 for 2 days, 1 night. Our driver was exceptional and had an eye for spotting animals from very far away. With his his help we saw a leopard, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, lions, hyena, hippos, and a myriad of other animals.Event though we were camping, the accommodation was comfortable and the food prepared by our cook was exceptional. I have not had such delicious cucumber soup before (I would even go so far as to request it if you go). Any issues or questions we had, Mohamed was ready to assist and responded very promptly. He also called during the safari to ensure that everything was going well. Thats a level of service rarely seen in Tanzania.

We had a wonderful safari with cook Tito and guide Gabriel. They took amazing care of us during our camping safari. Compared to other companies they also have fair prices.

We had an 4 day safari with seven people. Everything was perfect arranged; the tourguide was really nice and could tell us a lot about the animals. Our chef was also great and made the best food! So all with all, everyone was happy.

We had a really nice 4 days safari with masumin safari. The driver and the cook did their best to make our trip unforgettable. We saw all of the big Five and many other animals and could do a sunset and sunrise drive. My wife and I had a wonderul time with Masumin Car Hire and Safaris (Masumin) during our recent trip to Serengeti. Mehboob uncle and Mohammed do a tremendous job at organizing the safaris and everything around it. Our trip was earlier supposed to be in November 2017 and all payments were made in advance. But due to some unfortunate events we had to cancel the trip on the day of our flight. They were understanding enough to accommodate this and agreed to roll over the trip funds (including stay vouchers) to a future trip. We finally made the trip in November 2018.With Masumin, our only job was to reach the airport. Everything else was fully taken care of including food, lodging, travel and safaris. There were no hiccups. Mehboob uncle constantly followed up about our well being during the trip and that was very kind of him.We also got the most amazing safari guide and driver - Joseph. Cant mention enough on how good he was with spotting the animals. He was very patient whenever we asked him to stop for clicking pictures and soon enough he understood what kind of pics we wanted and started suggesting us places. He used to make sure to cover everything that he promised for the day without making us ever feel rushed.We are really satisfied and highly recommend their services to anyone planning to travel to Serengeti.

This being my second safari in Tanzania; the first one being in Ruaha, I was excited to see the wonders that the Serengeti presented. Masumin tours provided out group the opportunity to be comfortable while seeing animals and sights we never had before! Our driver Ben was also very considerate and took us to his favorite spots to see the big 5!

The Safari with Masumin was very well organized and was good value for the prize. (We booked 4 nights lodge Safari in serengeti and ngorongoro.) Our guide spotted great things, sometimes even away from all other safari cars so that we we the only ones there!Would recommend :)

Budget safari

We were 2 people, on a safari to Serengeti in February 2018 for 5 days, 4 nights, from Mwanza.Our driver Nicolas was attentive and we saw all the exciting animals we had hoped for.Our chef Edward was really knowledgeable and very helpful.The two worked really well together and made us have a fantastic trip.We had booked the trip through their website and we were certainly not disappointed. Masumin Tours is a very reliable agency to use and we got value for money, the trip was a luxury as we had a jeep for ourselves.It was also great that we were able to store our luggage in their office during the safari trip.The tent was very intimate, good for newly in love :)The only minor minus was that we had to attend a gig in a Masai town, as it was far too touristy for us!We will gladly use Masumin Tours again if we are going on a safari.Anne & Frank
