We are so glad we did!From the start, Mark was extremely helpful in providing us with all details of the trip and tailoring a Safari to suit us, making life easy by arranging flights from Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro Airport, and organizing transfers to Arusha, where we met our brilliant guide Nimrod and started our adventure.Nimrod was an exceptional guide, providing many facts about the animals and also teaching us about Tanzanian culture. We enjoyed his company for the five days and felt lucky to have him as our guide. It was great to see him interact with all guides as we drove. There was a great camaraderie between the drivers and guides and we even helped another group try to get unstuck from the mud.Our accommodations were of a high standard, and we were always well fed throughout the trip with tasty meals (The coffee at the Hhando Coffee Lodge was delicious)Due to Nimrods knowledge, expertise and patience, we saw all the animals we wanted and the spectacular scenery of the of the Plains and The Crater. I highly recommend choosing Shrike as your safari guides when in Tanzania.

We had a fantastic experience with Shrike Safaris. We spent 3 days and 2 nights on the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Mark and his team provided an unforgettable safari experience for us and were very knowledgeable on the parks and animals. Would highly recommend shrike for your safari.

We found Shrike via a blog and we decided to enquire about a safari and a trek - we had never been to Tanzania and they were two things we were keen to do but had very little knowledge of.This is where Shrike initially stood out - their communication was prompt andexcellent and they helped us to decide upon an itinerary that suited our needs (not just try to sell us the standard ‘climb Kili, go to Serengeti’ that all the other companies suggested’). After suggesting many options to suit us we ended up booking a camping trip that included a three day hike from Empakai to Lake Natron and then a three day Serengeti/Ngorongoro Safari.When we arrived we were buddied up with William (our guide), Javet (our driver), Bongo (our cook) and a very serious looking Land Cruiser which would be our vehicle and team for the week.The hike was very memorable - we spent three days (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day) in the company of our guide William who was knowledgeable, professional and great company - it was hard work but stunning.William left us after the hike was completed and we were left with Javet and Bongo for the Safari. They looked after everything. On day one of the safari we saw 3 of the ‘big 5’, on day two we completed the set - Javet is experienced and knows how and where to go to see the animals - his driving throughout the week was on another level and without his experience and expertise I’m sure a few of the little hiccups we encountered could have been major problems.Finally Bongo, he worked hard to make sure we were given tasty and varied meals - he even dug the truck out of a very awkward situation and hiked over 30k with Maasai and Donkeys to ensure our luggage and kit arrived promptly.We hit quite a few snags over the week - cars getting stuck on bad roads due to bad weather, roads virtually disappearing because of rain/construction work, delays to camping equipment arriving etc, but this is Africa - things work differently here. At no point did it feel like a major problem - the guys had it all under control and we feel that these things actually added to our little adventure.In summary we had the week of a lifetime, it started with clear and prompt communication , was administered well behind the scenes and was delivered by three pro’s - hats off to Shrike.

We had an excellent trip to Serengeti National Park due to all the animals and birds we saw as they varied from common to rare species. We very desperately thank our guide Emly for all the great experiences we had because he himself was very kind and curios to show us many specialities of the Park

One of the best Safari company in Mwanza, i have been did my Serengeti Game tour with family and been recomemded by Comment of other customers, they are professional and when Email them, they are quick response and you get in touch even on Whatsapp, their Drivers and Chef are professional, the problem they cannot teach you their ingredient of cooking... they have nice food that you want to be teached to cook it your self 🤣🤣🤣, otherwise Staff are friendly and nice car and their driver are so professionals.
