Excellent experience to get my open water. Faridu is a friendly, calm and experienced master. We enjoyed the day in the pool and 4 dives. Since the shop is close to the reef, we had 4 dives in Mnemba. Nice crew, pleasant lunch and an awesome diving experience. Many thanks for getting me my Padi!

We had an amazing time doing our Advanced Open Water certification at Eagle Ray divers. The team is super nice, and the gear and boat are in great shape. Contrary to other dive centers, we always dived in small groups, and for cheaper than what other centers offered. We cant recommend enough Eagle Ray Divers for their professionalism and kindness.

We had extremely nice experience with the crew of Eagle Ray Divers, very reliable, professional and nice people! I never wrote review on google, thus guys treat it as exceptional place in Zanzibar with very professional and very experienced dive masters. We had a pleasure to go for Discover Diving package to the famous Attol with Makabe, who organised that day from A to Z perfectly :) Must mention that they can handle all levels, me already experienced and my non experienced husband had same amount of fun but also care ! Very happy about taking the decision to go with those guys, highly recommended ! :)

We had the best time diving with Eagle ray divers! The diving school is local owned and has new equipment as well as serves you nice fruit and swahili food between the dives. They know the reef around Mnemba Atol so well that they take you to the best spots! We could even see and swim with dolphins which was also a highlight! Thanks again to the amazing staff which made our 4 days diving unforgettable!

Can highly recommend this place, especially for first time divers. We were a group of four people, one has never dived before. The instructors were very professional and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole dive. They also prepared snacks and drinks on the boat between the two dives we had. The area is beautiful and you may see many different fish. Simply amazing to explore the Seaworld. The adventure is reasonably priced and all the equipment is included. We really enjoyed, thank you guys!

We took a dive trip with Faridu to Mnemba island and enjoyed it to the fullest. Faridu is a very professional dive master, the equipment is in great shape and his crew is very friendly. He was flexible arranging our dives and we headed out on a comfortable boat - large enough for prone-to-seasickness people ;-) in between dives we were served a variety of tasty lunch snacks. Head to Eagle Ray Divers if you are looking for a local provider in Matemwe!

Equipment was in good condition. Guides are really nice, the boat is confortable and we were only 3 divers for the whole day. Oh, and they are cheaper than other diving centers. I recommend Eagle Ray Divers

There are a few choices for scuba up and down Matemwe beach - and we are delighted to have gone with Eagle Ray!! Faridu is a fantastic instructor with over 15 years experience diving Zanzibar (he used to dive with One Ocean).We did our PADI advanced and absolutely loved it - we always felt safe and well looked after. The gear is perfect condition and the staff are awesome - especially Hassan and Amani who also lead dives. DIVE HERE - YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

We had a wonderful time with Faridu and his team. It is a very charming local center. My girlfriend was anxious as she had bad experiences in the past. Faridu and his team were understanding, positive, professional, very reassuring. The dive was amazing, the spot is a must-see. I warmly recommend this to everyone, beginners and advanced levels.

Very profeasional and personal diving center. Highly recommended. Advanced diver (my wife) and beginner (myself) felt safe, welcome and not like one of many. Faridu is an extremely seasoned and very considerate diving teacher who knows how to take care of both beginners and advanced divers.Interesting last info: its the only diving school in Zanzibar which is 100% Tanzanian.

Great local dive operator - small groups on big nice boat, knowledgeable local dive masters, proper equipment, more flexible in arrangements than the big operators, and also a bit cheaper.We were here with our 4 year old son, the other operators wouldn’t take us as a family as they have no-kid policies. Faridu arranged for all of us to join, my wife and I alternated for the dives and in-between we snorkeled with our junior. We really enjoyed Mnemba and the time with Eagle Ray.

Fully recommend this place, owned by local people that are very professional and super friendly. Other dive shops nearby are run by Expats...We did 6 dives in total and we had an amazing time, really recommend diving in Mnemba if you have the opportunity to do so. Dives are generally not cheap though, you need to count approximately $50 per dive.

Could not recommend eagle ray divers enough. The centre is a locally run business which is run efficiently with very friendly guides. Dive groups are small and the equipment is good quality. I am a dive master myself and wouldn’t hesitate recommending people to go here.

Great diving experience with these guys and stayed at the adjoining Baharini Villas. For $60 per night in the large bungalows, this was exceptional value and the room were large, clean and very comfortable.The dive center had new and well looked after gear with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The dive sites near Mnemba Island and around the atoll were spectacular and well worth the $120 for two dives (including gear).

It was a great experiece to dive here again after 22 years without diving. They gave me a wonderful saved feeling and of course I enjoyed the little group. Ive seen things- Ive never seen before under water. They ve showed me a wonderful peaceful world there at Mnemba Island and it made me happy🧜‍♀️still happy...best place for diving at MNEMBA, best people- local people - thank you all and see you next year 🐠again 🐠🦀🐙🐡🐠🐟🐬

It is a good place for learning diving on Zanzibar

Did two relaxed and nice dives around Mnemba with Eagle Ray Divers. We are absolute beginners and have just completed our Padi OWD. Faridu and the team gave us enough time and useful tips. Felt comfortable and safe at all time.

A super good experience! 👌🏼My friend got a refresh and the following day we had 2 dives together.The driver was the cutest we have ridden with so far. There was 100% control over it in the shop and during refresh. Also around safety! And Harry was great to have out. Everyone was so neat and fun!If you want a good diving experience, then Eagle Ray is definitely recommended!

Excellent dives. I am an experienced diver, and I could appreciate the professionalism of the team. The NMenba site is full of life, the corals are alive. Makamé, the dive master is attentive to safety, and the whole team is friendly. We were few on the boat, resulting in small groups. The material is very good, and the prices rather lower than the competition. I recommend without hesitation.

We dived on a small wall off Mnemba Island with Farid from Eagle ray divers! Pleasantly surprised by the attitude: very attentive and friendly! We were both in a private session, together, although we saw a lot of people on boats and others closely! Individual approach! Treated with fruit! The boat, although wooden, is large and comfortable! Farid pros in their field! We are very satisfied ❤️

A good choice if you decide to dive in Zanzibar! Besides the beautiful Mnemba Atoll reef, which is also a national park, we see dolphins almost every day! Faridou is a great and responsive owner and will give you a good price for diving for more than 6-7 days. We are a group of 4 divers who really have fun and thank Mohammed and other boat staff!
