Stunning view from balcony, wild animals walking around, quite and peaceful. Good place for deep thought.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were lovely, (all mod cons) and the views from the balcony fabulous. The huge pool was sparking clean and restaurant served great food (and the included breakfast is excellent)! A BIG thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well! They organised the Chimpanzee tour with Mbali Mbali for us and we had a fantastic time, it was a 1st class tour and the highlight of our trip - 100% recommend doing it👍Definitelly recommend this place, its a real treat👍

We had recommended our Gladiola Adventure Tanzania self drive clients to book this accommodation and they were all very happy with their services and advise others to book this place for their stay in Kigoma before and after Gombe national park.

The hotel has a nice location with very pretty views from the rooms and the restaurant. Unfortunately, the maintenance on the place is in rough shape. We had a large group and had 7 cabins. All of them had a problem of some sort and a few people had to change rooms due to issues that couldnt be fixed. TVs didnt work, phone in or room didnt work, got water was scarce, and the air conditioning didnt work in a few rooms, just to name a few issues. Fortunately the staff did seem to take care of us and were pretty good.The other things guests must know is that they do not serve alcohol here, nor do they let you have your own in the pool area, nor the restaurant. Also, the food is good and freshly made, but it takes a very very long time to get.

The view is decent but have seen better on kigoma. Grandno chatel is better for food and view.

They over priced comparing to Lake Tanganyika hotel. Nice location quite with natural eco system, animals like zebras impala, monkey, kudus or pofu can be seen moving around. The owners were impressive.

Was here in July 2017. Absolutely loved this place. Incredible sunrise and sunset over Lake Tanganyika. Nice food and lovely zebras and wildlife grazing on the lawn in the morning. Would definitely want to come back one day.

Very comfortable and nice place

Beautiful hotel on to of a hill overlooking Kigoma port and fish market. Reasonable priced and spacious cottages. The beds were extremely comfortable in fact the best hotel beds I ever encountered. This alone would be a reason to return. Unfortunately other than Lake Tanganika nothing else around.

Its one of the most beautiful hotels in kigoma. I always go there when i visit my home town. The hotel its at a hill and from the hotel you can see the beautiful lake tanganyika, the view of kigoma town and of course without forgetting the animals. Its an amazing place.

Our train was running 10 hours late so for the second time during our stay in Kigoma we went to enjoy Kigoma Hilltop Hotel pool. You dont have to be their hotel resident to both eat at their restaurant (which was tasty but pricey - around 25000 for main courses) and use their pool - just pay 10000 tzs at reception to receive a ticket to the pool where the towel will be provided.

Amazing experience.. The hotel is really what its name stands for Hill Top... It is situated at the perfect serene location on the hill with a breathtaking view of the lake... with zebras and baboons and different bird species all around the hotel... Staff are very professional and the food was delicious... Excellent keep it up !!!

Great place, beautiful view, monkeys and guinea fowls in the garden, good bed, very friendly staff, the best food I had in Africa for weeks - only no alcohol served, but you are allowed to bring your own to your room.

Really beautiful place. Unfortunately I was here for only one night and came in late and left early in the morning. The dinner was really good though they need to add more items to their menu. This place could use WiFi everywhere as opposed to just the restaurant and reception.

Food portions are not worth eating here as prices are over the roof! Service is pathetic too, waiters are in a hurry to go home instead of serving customers. Hospitality 0

Top hotel in KigomaWe stayed for 2 nights in this vast hotel. It has 30 challet of one bedroom and sitting room plus all verandas facing lake tanganyika. The place has live zebras and vast well maintained garden.The challet have 5 star facilitates including huge bed and huge shower.The restaurant by the lake has excellent food. The chef can cook personally to your special needsThere is a huge swimming poolThe staff are extremely efficient and courteous.Just one suggestion is to have coffee/tea facilities in the challetsHighly recommended

Kigoma Hilltop hotel is a real Tanzanite💎. The view from the outside is a bit inviting, plus stepping through the main doors, you are immediately struck by the beautiful, wooden reception area. Light and airy, and very spacious - very welcoming. The straff throughout the hotel are very friendly and extremely helpful plus the Masai guards. The breakfasts were amazing, a wonderful selection, and again, the young staff were very efficient and helpful in making the breakfast times fun and enjoyable. The location of the hotel is great a good view of Lake Tanganyika- right in the middle of most attractions filled with Zebras in the compound, which are within walking distance. The room i had was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to visitors to Kigoma. Thank you Hiltop for making my stay so special.

Kigoma hilltop is a very nice place in kigoma municipality, Bangwe ward, near bangwe prison. Its located on the lake Tanganyika shores. On 1st Jan. 2018, Ive been there with my friend who enjoyed a lot. Good weather, good swimming pool, rest place and good vegetation around. Its a nice place to visit.
