I was looking for an affordable safari and messaged many operators. Emanuel from Crater Explorer was the most attentive to my questions before booking and I was very happy with the end result. I was able to see 4/5 of the big 5 in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I also want to shout out my excellent guide Waldon. He was awesome and made sure we didnt leave the Serengeti without seeing a leopard 😍 Amazing experience.

Their knowledge of the ground and the country, their presence upon arrival. And I was amazed by Emanuel’s fast reactivity.He answered as soon as he received my email, and then kept on Answering all my questions and doubts at any time. We had a Wonderful Experience with crater Explorer. We seached for a long to for the Best price with the luxury lodges, and Crater Explorer was the Best on Safaribookings. The safari was from when we sat in the car to the end fantastic. Saw animals so close that its still Hard to believe..

Firstly, I booked this safari for early January 2022, but had to reschedule for COVID-related reasons. Emanuel was very accommodating and got me into a group for the same safari in late February, on the exact day I needed in order to fit the excursion into my new itinerary. Secondly, while the seven of us (two couples and three solo travellers) participating in this trek had all originally booked with different safari organizers (I with Crater Explorer), and I don’t know if we were put together by design or by chance, but it was a fantastic bunch; we had almost ceaseless conversations and laughs through the long drives and over meals.Also part of our group was George, the amazing driver and guide we were assigned to. Not only did he know the name and facts about every animal we saw, he was an affable guy, as well as very adept at getting a land cruiser out of a muddy rut! And, while which animals one sees is a matter of chance, George also tried his best to seek out as many as he could. In the end, we viewed cheetah, African buffalo, yellow baboons, black rhinoceros, African leopard, Giraffe, lions, African bush elephants, spotted hyena, jackals, Thomson’s gazelles, bat eared fox, hippopotamus, cape hare, Grant’s zebra, masai ostriches, marabou stork, secretarybirds, kori bustards, crowned cranes, superb starling, African sacred ibis, lesser flamingoes, helmeted guineafowl, and probably others I’m forgetting. Each of us had a seat by a window and the pop-up roof was open often.Camping in Serengeti National Park and on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater is an unmatchable experience. I wasn’t particularly pleased to find I had to share a tent with one of the other solo guys in the group. But, it was tolerable for two nights. The food was what one would expect on a camping trip.All-in-all I’m really pleased I embarked on this safari.

Our 3-days safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro was a wonderful experience and everything was perfectly organised. We learned a lot and saw the Big Five. We stayed at Serengeti Heritage lodge and Ngorongoro Serena lodge - both places were very beautiful and comfortable.

We had an amazing trip organized by Crater Explorer. We did the 3 night/4 day safari and saw the big 5. Emmanuel was very responsive to all our messages and inquiries before and during our trip. Even though our package was a mid-range safari, we stayed in 5 star hotels and lodges in Ngorongoro and Marera valley. Only downside was the hotel in Arusha. It was below our expectations regarding cleanliness and service. However, we only stayed there a night before the safari and a night after. Everything else was more than perfect. Would definitely recommend Crater Explorer and Emmanuel!

Wonderful experience, we did a joining group safari camping Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, they pick us and drop off in our hostel and we were able to see the big 5 and a lot of other animals, the experience with the gruop was amazing and we made good friends, our guide Mandela was excellent and give us a lot of useful information about everything, and the cook Charles did incredible meals for all of us.Chatting and arranging everything with Emmanuel was the best, he is a very kind man and he made sure that everything planned went well.

It was a great pleasure meeting Emanuel. He is attentive, thorough, and made sure our trip was fantastic and smooth from beginning to end. His prices are fair and transparent, the quality of the safari was top-notch, and he helped with various travel details, such as arranging COVID tests to return back to the USA. Highly recommend!

I went to 7 day safari with them to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara and it was an amazing experience. Emanuel organized everything flawlessly.... driver - guide and cook were very competent and professional. Highly recomended.

We went for our honeymoon on a 4 day safari to Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater. We had an exceptionally great time as Emmanuel the organizer was able to get us amazing accommodations such as Serena lodge and marera valley lodge, for the price of a mid-range safari, after alot of research, this is definitely the best value for money deals we could find! As for the tour itself, the nature was overwhelming, even though we had missed the great migration, we still saw a wide of variety of animals, all of the big 5, as well as the grasping scenery that completely changes from one area to the next. All in all, the experience of a lifetime!

He set us up with an amazing driver whos experience level helped us experience the best safari Id ever had the proviledge to be on. The chef that came with us was AMAZING! After a long day on the road there was nothing like a well prepped meal waiting for you and each meal did not disappoint.It was an amazing experience, saw a ton of animals including the big 5 and the elusive leopard and cheetahs!Emanuel also helped us get our Covid test for the flights home! He really went above and beyond for us!I recommend this company to any traveler!!!There is a reason he has so many 5 stars!

Had an absolute amazing time at my 3 day safari through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Saw some amazing wildlife and the parks are gorgeous! We stayed at the Serengeti Heritage lodge and Ngorongoro serena lodge and both these places were fantastic.I wanted to write a special thank you to Emanuel whom I booked everything with. He is a genuine person who went above and beyond to accommodate us and take care of our needs. He even spend time to take me to get my covid test done (for travel) and took us shopping when we asked. He was very quick to respond back to questions when I was booking, which I appreciated a lot.I highly recommend this company and booking with Emanuel!

Superb experience! Everything is very well organized, Emmanuel is very responsive and makes sure that everything goes perfectly.The hotel at the beginning and at the end was very clean with good bedding and hot water! The campsites during the safari were more rustic but it is a real experience to be able to stay in the middle of the park and have a zebra next to your tent at night! :) nevertheless warmer blankets would have been welcome !!The safari was fantastic, we saw loads of animals, the food was good and the guide was super friendly!I recommend!!

We were on a 3-day safari in the Serengeti and in the Ngorongoro Crater. Everything worked out wonderfully. Communication worked great from the start. Answers to any questions came very quickly.We were 6 people together with others and we had plenty of space in the jeep. The car was in good condition (which unfortunately cannot be taken for granted).Our guide Julius was very well informed via radio and always knew where there was something interesting to see. Our cook was also very good at his job, everything was delicious.Some of our group stayed at the campsite, it can get a bit cold, especially at the Ngorongoro Crater. We had tented camp + box, which we LOVED.I would definitely recommend Crater Explorer Tours.
