Wonderful place with wonderful staff!It was a pleasure to stayed in this place with my wife!Everything was clean, the swimming pool was perfect!Wonderful garden with animals, the restaurant is perfect but I think the MUST was the staff! No less!We used the Vijiji Center as a base for two trips.Our visit was in the middle of the pandemic on Jan 2021.Most of the time we were the only guests in the entire resort.We got a first class treatment.Leads by Amos, great little village in the middle of a crowded Arusha and surrounding.Kalisti (Calist), the waiter, was literally our private waiter (avoiding to use the word servant but that what he did), and both Kevin and I much much appreciate his assistant, especially at the last day what I was sick.Our stay was included:Transport from the airport (expect to at least 40 min drive) - that offer included in both of the packages weve choosed.A 7 days (6 nights) trek to the summit of the Kilimanjaro (you can custom the packages which presented in the website). That offer include two nights.A 5 days (4 nights) luxury safari tour include one day Tarangire, 3 days (two nights) in Serengeti and one day (actually half) in NgoroNgoro crater.We were staying in the Vijiji Center a night between the two adventures and two night after just to relax (and laundry)Thanks you Amos, Sandra, Kalisti and the team for letting us feel home.Cheers

Really good service and friendly staff.A cozy place to stay with great food and a nice garden.I recommend to bring some treats for the four dogs, they are very friendly.

Here for one night before heading on another leg of our journey. Grounds seem nice, but has dogs wandering about that fought at night. Painted concrete floors in room seem dirty, and bathroom is a recipe for mold. The shower tray is not sealed to the wall, so water splashes all around it, including in the 1/2 inch crack. Still better than camping, but felt I needed to wear shoes everywhere. Our room was also filled with the smell of smoke over night. No smoke detectors went off, but it hurt our throats and woke us up. Woke up the next morning to find some kind of stove burning right behind our room, out of sight from the entrance but visible from the restaurant. We were not impressed, especially after seeing other lodges in the area.

Stayed here before and after our Kili climb. Simple but comfortable. Has a outdoor pool and restaurant so you dont have to go hunt for food. Hot water can be a bit iffy. I waited for an hour for hot water and they have to change my room in the end.

Decent accommodations and beautiful grounds but the food is mostly inedible. Not willing to defer from their pre-fix menu to make you something you would enjoy.

If there was a possibility of a negative rating, this location would get it. Room was dirty with a gross musty smell. The area is very noisy. I believe the reviews currently available are fabrications and very deceiving. Save your money!!

I spent a single day there, but it felt like a year everyone, everything, every time things looked amazing, food, drinks, as well as compound.Highly recommended

We went on a three-day safari with Vijiji center lodge and safaris with two more friends starting December 13th-16th 2019. We visited the following parks: Lake Manyara (day 1), Ngorongoro (day 2), Tarangire (day 3). We selected this itinerary as we wanted to have 3 full days of safari. We contacted approx. 8 companies regarding proposing an optimal schedule for us. While most other companies also recommended Serengeti, Vijiji center lodge and safaris stood out insisting that we do the aforementioned parks, as Serengeti was too far away to drive too and basically we would have wasted a day just driving. We are very glad we selected Vijiji center lodge and safaris and followed their recommended schedule as we came to realise how far the distances are. We got to enjoy an amazing safari experience in the above parks. Ngorongoro was my favourite; an incredible site to see from the viewpoint above the crater and thousands of animals to see in it. There are really no words to describe this experience, you have to see it for yourself.Our guide, Ombeni, was the best guide we could have wished for. Having travelled around the world in Europe (I am from Greece), Asia, Americas, and having been on many guided tours, I can say that Ombeni was the best guide we ever had. He made the experience unforgettable and while I wrote before that we started out as 3 friends, we ended the journey having earned a new friend!Now, I’m terms of amenities provided, all the lodges well stayed at were amazing. During game drives we had proper lunch and Ombeni would set the table, dishes, bottle of wine and it really felt like having lunch at a great restaurant, only our table was located in the middle of Ngorongoro!Vijiji center lodge and safaris vehicles aren’t brand new and Ombeni made sure that the vehicle is clean (inside out) every single day, while other vehicles in the lodges’ parking lots were not taken care of as well. It is a safari, and we do not really care about what the vehicle loons like from the outside, but still I have to mention the high quality offered by Vijiji center lodge and safaris.To summarise, I highly recommend a safari with Vijiji center lodge and safaris; they will work with you guys to organise the schedule that best fits your travel objectives and they will offer an unforgettable and amazing experience. I am very glad we picked Vijiji center lodge and safaris and very happy in having met Ombeni , a truly amazing person.

Very nice and secure spot to stay just outside of Arusha. Maria and Baracka were very friendly, and made our stay memorable. Stayed for 3 nights book-ending a safari, would highly recommend. Nice beds and hot water showers, food was great, cold beer, and refreshing pool. Wifi was consistent and fast enough to Skype.

Its a good place where they offer a variety of services like swimming,food,lodging,family settlement its a place where you can feel the sevices more than any place,you can book for group ceremonies asa graduation, wedding phography there is best scenery

With a lovely garden, great rooms, relaxing pool area and a cheerful staff its hard not to like this place. Without a doubt my favourite stop on my journey through Tanzania ❤

A wonderful place to stay! I recommend with confidence and we will definitely be back. It is located behind the main street so you cant hear the noise of cars. They have a lot of green, where you can relax and think. For those who want, they also have a swimming pool. It offers many activities (safaris, cycling, etc.) all directly from the hotel. Kalest is a very very kind person, always with a smile on his face and a person you can talk to, it was a pleasure to be with him. The food here is very good (both breakfast and dinner, and the prices are very good). I recommend with confidence and we will return with pleasure!Alex and Daniela ❤️
