Amazing place. David is very much dedicated to quality and wellbeing of his guests. Offers great tours for reasonable prices. One of my top 3 places to stay. Don’t be afraid of his dogs.
I stayed at Waka Waka HOUSE, Which is right behind the Maasai market, and even closer to the city center.I was given a spacious clean room with a tub batgroom too.Breakfast is pretty basic, and there should be Wi-Fi but it was down for a while due to a technical problem.Omg, they have a pack of super friendly huge dogs.
We stayed in Wakawaka houseBelongs to the same owner as Wakawaka hostel. Taxi drivers often just know the hostel, so make sure you get that sorted. The name is not written on the building or entrance. It looks like a private home. What we liked: Best mosquito net we had on our whole trip in Tansania (runs on rails and is cubical), clean facilities, laundry service, big rooms, friendly big dogs, nice helpful owner and manager, price was also good (we payed 34 USD for a double room),What we did not like: Beer (3500 Schillings) and water could be cheaper. Towel was not included in the price (5000 Schillings to rent one) Should be included, we had dinner once and had to wait 3(!) hours after placing our order until it was served. It was not prepared in the house but in the hostel.
Great place to stay in Arusha!10-15 minutes away from the touristic center of the town which is good because the town is very unpleasant. The staff ia great and the food is very tasty, both breakfast and the lunch/dinner menu. Very good value for the price, Recommended!
Simple, clean, nice rooms. The staff were very welcoming and they have a wonderful cook. The price is a bit high for the location (25 minute walk to clocktower). Theres also a Waka waka House closer to the clocktower, so just make sure you dont get them confused.Chumba kisafi na kizuri. Karimu sana na chakula kitamu. Kufika clocktower kwa miguu, itachikua dakika 25.
David and Megan did a fantastic job helping us out with our stay in Arusha. Transportation, Breakfast, WiFi, Day Trips they did an awesome job of helping out a couple of backpackers passing through. We even left a souvenir behind and helped organize the mailing of it back to the USA. A+ experience with Wakawaka!
Very enchanting place. Was booked elsewhere where I was disappointed but when I got here Dave and Hawa, his assistant really made a difference to my stay!Would love to come back soon.
The worst experience regarding hostel in my life. Owner was screaming at me, insulting me in really bad words, pushing and telling what harm he can do to me. Be warned!!
Volunteers House in Arusha, just like 2.5Kilometers from the town center.
Lovely staff, lovely double room.
Waka waka is a well medium class hostel
Normal but nice for a day or 2
Pick up point for my client
Awesome
Good hostel
Friendly staff, the main building is comfortable and very quiet, the rooms on the second floor have great balconiesadvantage:* Relatively cheap airport transfers (35USD, airport list price 50USD) can be arranged, eliminating the hassle of bargaining.* Using the kitchen costs a little 5000TS, but you can use some vegetables (onions, tomatoes, etc.) in the refrigerator. Given that it is far from the supermarket, it is quite convenient.* Assisted in arranging Safari trips, the price and experience are satisfactory, but it is recommended that people who choose to stay here should compare and check various informationDisadvantages:We stayed in the double room on the first night (located outside the main building). Although the space was large, it was dim, the hot water was very small, and no towels were provided. )
Great location, super nice staff, very clean - anytime again!
Satisafactory services.Highly recommended
