Terrible experience. Starting from arriving. Better arrange ur visa before. Coz when u arrive it is mess. No proper queues, no distance. Small terminal. Outside guys r standing and trying to take ur luggage to carry for tips. Zanzibar is itself nice country for travel. But not stone town. Not nice at all. We stayed there 2 nights at the end just to wait our pcr test. We did in global hospital. It was easy fast and extremely expensive. 120 dollars. This is most expensive what i paid for pcr in my experience. We had flydubai. Thats y we needed to arrive to airport before 6 hours to make one more rapid pcr test. It is also cost 100 dollars. Fill everything online in official website to save time. But its only for passengers who will fly to dubai. In departure staff was more friendly. The only what I did not understand the ladies who arrived late also was let to make pcr. Other people who came before 6 hours. And waiting for long time. And others came late but was allowed to go also.I don’t think i go Zanzibar again. And also im not sure i will recommend it my friends. Tourist island should be more friendly. Also carry more small money for tips. Coz u need to give it every where. And last when I arrived to dubai my luggage was open. They broke locker. I don’t know what they wanted from it. Coz inside was nothing valuable. Only clothes and shoes. Just damaged my luggage. Also I did mot buy anything like seashells. Coz in reviews were written u need to pay money in airport for it.
One and a half years after the opening the terminal is still empty. Check-in, passport and security check was quick but nothing else works here. Sad.
New terminal without shops, lounge, etc. The only store sells nuts for 6$ and beer for 5$. Simply outrageous.
Small but very enoght. Visa service is excellent!
Funny place, fortunately aircon is weak ⛄️
Clean airport, no shops or restaurants (yet)
Good port
Still closed or not operating yet
Amaizing.. with international standard
The airport in Zanzibar is relatively small. But the newly built Terminal 3. A beautiful building built by the Chinese. But there are no shops, services yet. There are two lounges, one worked, the other not. But judge for yourself in the photos. One coffee table and a fridge with a drink. A few more details need to be fine-tuned
A new terminal, opened a week ago. A few classes higher than the previous one, although only one gastronomic point is open, where you can buy coffee poured from a thermos and several types of sweets. In a few weeks everything will probably be 100% functioning. The building itself is already a good European standard
There is no restaurant and the existing shop has about 20 different goods (pringels for $ 6 and cheese pie) all super overpriced
