Mago is a very good guide, friendly, charming, relaxed and very nice person. The blue Safari tour is amazing, we went in a private boat, we visited a lake in a middle of the sea, we went snorkeling with tiger fishes and corals, an unforgettable experience!!! We had many lobster for lunch that were delicious!! Finally we visited a baobab tree and Mago pick you up at your hotel!! What else do you need to enjoy a fantastic day in Zanzibar!!! I highly recommend it!!

I spent a lot of time searching for a driver/tour guide in Zanzibar and ultimately settled on Mago after viewing his down-to-earth website. I’m so glad I found him: Mago is knowledgeable, accommodating, relaxed, and always on time. His prices are fair and reasonable, and I felt he was a very safe and efficient driver. Mago helped organize a blue lagoon/ safari blue tour for my husband and me from our hotel in Matemwe - I was keenly aware of the extra effort he put in (in comparison to other guests’s guides) to ensure that we were safe (snorkeling), happy, and well fed throughout the day. I’d also like to note that we requested Mago take us to a Covid testing center the morning of the tour in preparation for an upcoming flight- what we expected to be a 30 minute stop ended up taking 1.5 hours - he was kind not to charge us, simply stating, “Hakuna Matata”. We used Mago’s services for other excursions, including trips to the beach and to the airport. We really had a great experience with mago. He treated with very good hospitality. And ensured we had a good food during travel with him. He arranged vegetarian food within less time and that tasted really yum. He ensured we complete our tour time and reach airport on time.

Mago was a great driver and tour guide. We used Mago’s services for the majority of our trip. He picked us up at the airport and drove us to our hotel across the island. His price point is competitive, no price gauging which I noticed with a few other drivers I chanced on. On our second to last day we went with Mago on the blue safari tour. As a tour guide he was extremely genial and full of knowledge. Honestly I put off going on any guided tour for most of the trip but the blue safari tour with Mago ended up becoming one of the highlights of our trip. I recommend highly and would definitely use Mago again on any further trips to beautiful Zanzibar.

Mago took us to a snorkeling trip to Mnemba. He arranged the trip for us and had a boat come take us to the snorkeling area and he came to drive us back by car. He arrived on time.He also drove us to stone town and arranged with a guide to be with us there through the tour. Mago did it all for us and with a good price. The trip was very nice and hes very friendly.

This was the second time we traveled to Zanzibar. We met Mago during our first visit and he really went out of his way and made our Zanzibar experience memorable. This time around I traveled with my 2 young kids as my husband couldn’t join us. Mago had kept in touch with us since our last visit. Before planning our trip we confirmed with Mago if he was available during our visit and only then we went ahead and planned the trip. He was with us from the time he picked us up. He is very punctual always a few minutes before the decided time. He not only helped us as our tour guide but was available for us to take us for our Covid test, get the print outs, recommend good places to eat and things to do around matemwe and stone town. He always arranged private boat rides to places of excursions at very competitive price.I give Mago 6 stars out of 5. More than anything he is just an amazing human.

What a beautiful day in Zanzibar!!During my stay in Matemwe, I was looking for a guy able to offer a private cruise to Mnemba Atoll for snorkeling, for a decent price. I also wanted to avoid being packed with all the tourists on a stupid tourist boat. And I met Mago!! This guy is amazing: he is the most honest and kind people in the world, I think the day we spent together, including our lunch at Furaha restaurant was the best during my entire stay in Tanzania. We spent a very nice morning of 3 hours for a very reasonable price 50 € for two people where two days before we had paid 300 € for a full day with another provider .... but the island of Mnemba and its sandbank are so beautiful that we wanted to go back 😅Mago is always listening and talks to us about his country from the heart🥰 he does everything to put you at ease. Been to Zanzibar last week October 2021 and used Magos taxi services. Good driver and very pleasant person to travel with. when we are back in Zanzibar we will definitely use Magozanzibar tours for the water and land activities.

We went with Mago to Nungwi, for snorkeling and to the airport. We were satisfied with his services and their cost. Mago also helped to buy fruits from locals at prices for his own, and not for tourists. Mago is tactful, polite, responsible and punctual, and most importantly, not intrusive.

We did mnemba island with Mago. We could see dolphins on multiple occasions and varieties of fish during the snorkeling. It was great !We also booked our taxis with him, the prices are among the cheapest on the marketI highly recommend

I am disappointed. We contacted Mago after reading reviews about him on Google. Reviews are nowhere better. And in the beginning it was. I used his services for several days, went to Jozani, several times to Stonetown - responsible, sociable, everything is like in the reviews (his prices are average). From the very beginning, they talked with him about a trip to Tanzania, to Arusha for Safari. For two days and one night.We agreed that these would be the Tarangiri and Ngorogoro parks, the price per person, including a round-trip flight, is $ 520. For two 1040. This amount was personally written by him on a piece of paper. And the cost was discussed daily. He asked for $ 500 in advance (for air tickets). The rest he said to pay the meeting party in Arusha. Before departure, I once again clarified that I have to pay the remaining 540 dollars to the person who will meet us? Mago confirmed this. By this time, I completely trusted Mago and I did not even think that this person could deceive.But! When we arrived in Arusha, the person meeting us began to demand 900 dollars (400 more!), Moreover, according to him, the safari is planned in Manyara Park, not Ngorongoro. Naturally, I didnt have $ 400 with me. A return ticket in two days and my wife and I are standing in the middle of Arusha, our safari has become a big nuisance. We immediately called Mago and he began to accuse me of everything that I was deaf, that he said from the very beginning that the price for two was 1400 dollars and that I did not understand everything and that I had to pay. But the price of $ 520 per person (including the flight) we discussed with him more than once. How his 520 per person for two turned into 1400, I dont know. But from his words, I understood one thing that I am a fool and I am to blame for everything.Then, after reading the Internet, I realized that this is a common practice in Zanzibar, to say less so that the client will buy for sure (and Mago knew that we had a budget of 1000 and if he initially said 1400 we would simply not fly). In general, the safari turned out not at all what we expected - with the solution of a bunch of problems. Its not good to lie, Mago! I am disappointed. I do not recommend contacting Mago.

Many thanks to Mago! We went with him to Stone Town, to Nungwi and Kendwa. Also for snorkeling, we saw dolphins !!! We took the scooter from him. It is safe and fun with him, much cheaper than domestic guides. If the tide is out, but you really want to swim in the ocean, call, write to Mago, he will take you to Nungwi and wait!
