Perfect! All activities were interesting and well organized!

We booked a bicycle spice tour last minute with Amo Zanzibar Tours and Safari. From the outset they were up front with it being a forecast for a hot day and needing a moderate level of fitness for this particular tour. Our guide was professional and approachable. We rode approximately an hour through the city into bike trails through semi challenging conditions, but I should note that my wife and I havent been properly riding for quite some time. The spice farm was gorgeous. We were led on an insightful tour through the farm, smelling, tasting and enjoying the local produce from cloves and cinnamon to a variety of delicious fruits that were definitely a warm welcome after a sweaty ride. Then we took a short ride to a nice setup overlooking another farm. It was serene and peaceful. There we enjoyed a delicious range of traditional Swahili food made with all the local spices we were privy to trying. Needless to say we are exhausted but content. The owner seemed quite lovely and genuine. A local tour company with a dedicated team to providing a brilliant experience. A hidden gem

Noreen and this tour company were amazing from start to finish. I emailed Noreen and we collaborated on our trip excursions several months in advance before coming to Zanzibar. She addressed all our trip needs and compiled itineraries that were conducive to what we wanted. She answered all of my questions and addressed all concerns with every prompt email reply. Also several things changed during the trip process planning including the ownership of Sea Cliff Resorts spa we booked our Couples Massage at which Noreen smoothly planned and informed us of. Once we arrived to Zanzibar, Salme and the driver were right outside of the airport with a sign with my name on it to transport us to our hotel Park Hyatt. All of the tours we did were amazing and we really were able to immersed in the Zanzibar culture. Our tour guides Youseff and Salme were the absolute best. Not only were they friendly and very knowledgeable, but also very professional and welcoming. Throughout our entire time in Zanzibar they ensured we felt safe and well taken care of. We also got to meet Noreen at our spice farm lunch which was very much a pleasant surprise for us. Although our horseback riding excursion with Rosa got rescheduled, Noreen ensured we had roundtrip transfer and smoothly rearranged this excursion with no problem. I even changed the time of our airport transfer and Noreen promptly rescheduled this without hesitation. Overall it was an amazing experience we will never forget and we want to thank the staff of Amo Zanzibar Tours for their hospitality and organization of our trip.

We did two half day tours with Amo. A Stone Town tour ($60 for two, essentially a guided walk around the town) which was good for getting an idea of the history behind the old town, history of the East African slave trade and an understanding of the local architecture. And then a spice tour ($80 for two), a trip to a local government plantation with a stop for lunch on the way home. I enjoyed seeing a bit of inland Zanzibar and to see the plants behind the spices we eat at home.Our guides were both good and the tours well organised. However, I cant help but feel they were overpriced. $60 for a few hours walking round the town, and yet we still felt vaguely obliged to tip at the end (I wonder what proportion of this $60 makes it to the guide, despite there being very few other tour-related outgoings). Our friendly taxi driver commented he does the spice tour for $35 total (and indeed, we got various guides provided at different stages of the plantation working for tips regardless).While it was good, Id like to see more offered by Amo for the money they take.

All tours allow you to discover Zanzibar in an alternative way and off the beaten track. You can trust them with your eyes closed.

We were in Zanzibar in May 2017 and absolutely wanted to snorkel. The reviews of the probably most booked Safari Blue (unsure of the name) made us look for an alternative.As found here. Super nice contact. Quick and easy. The snorkeling tour in the north of the island itself was also great! A busy reef and even wild dolphins. And no other provider or boat. The trip itself was quite adventurous due to the weather, but it was fun.The following day we were still in Jozani and at various other stations such as a station that buys turtles that were accidentally put on the net by fishermen and later releases them back into the sea. Our guide spoke almost fluent German and was easy to understand. Another great trip!Unfortunately, on both days we had the bad luck that it rained almost continuously. At least on the snorkeling tour that shouldnt be a problem;) and also on the second tour it hardly bothered (the butterflies had hidden and visiting this station was spontaneously canceled by both sides). In the end you couldnt have been lying in the sun on the beach anyway, so it was the perfect alternative.The driver was punctual and friendly on both days.We felt in very good hands and would only book here the next time we visit the island!

Very good visit of stone town, with passage through the key places and various rooftops for the points of view. Very good explanation of the history of the city and fruit tasting at the market
