My Husband and I booked a 6 night stay at Paradise beach resort and we unfortunately did not have a good experience. The shower tap was awfully rusted, where we actually felt dirty touching it. The shower had soap marks on the wall and floor that turned black. Housekeeping does not change your sheets unless you ask them too. When housekeeping came and cleaned the room, we had no toilet paper, they did not even bother to replace the toilet paper until we had to ask and it took the staff about 3 hours to bring toilet paper to us. Upon our arrival, we were not happy with the suite room and asked a manager if we could upgrade at an additional cost. We had to keep following up and approximately 6 hours later we were advised that it was not possible. Our aircon did not work and when we requested assistance it felt as if we were an inconvenience to the staff. We had also taken an all inclusive package however, during breakfast they do not serve cool drinks so you would have to wait for lunch and supper. The Bars only open from 10h00 and they hardly ever have ice when serving the drinks.A little maintenance in the rooms make a huge difference.Due to the above reason we actually checked out earlier then we were supposed to.

The hotel is adorable. Can not describe with words, must see it. We have a bungalow and never regret. Its given a lot of space and air. Cleaning 3 times a day, best service. Must visit the SPA. Massages are very professional, the employees there are just great- perfect English, perfect care and obvious pleasure to be in favor. The other employees are not so friendly, except Masai, 2 beautiful girls bartenders and the guy who helped me with the local Sim card (it is a must, because wi fi is too busy and can not handle all the customers). I highly recommend to rent a scooter from the reception and explore the island (30$ per a day rent, 15$ for documents to allow, 1$ per litter gasoline). The only thing inside the complex is that guests are all about dollars. It is in the air, when a bartender make cocktail for non all inclusive guest (which means will pay it to the bartender) it is spectacular, when it is for all inclusive guest (whose already paid for all inclusive service) it is just fill the glass and go ahead. The beach is impossible for swimming, but there is great pool and beach shower if you want to refresh. There is one boy on the beach, selling coconut to drink - he is amazing and gives 2 coconut for 2$. The bartender offers 1 coconut for 5$ (you can understand what I mean, employees are all about $). The food is great, all kind of dishes and meals. You can not be hungry. I hope do not miss something important, but this is in general.P. S. Masai show and acrobatics are just The Best ever!!!(in the complex there is a desk in front the restaurant with daily information for animation )

I rate this place as excellent - really enjoined my vacation there (17 - 24 of November, 2021, room 30) and want/will come back here soon again. Many places to see and explore, very friendly and professional stuff, special thanks for manager Mr Patrick for everything (hope he is reading). Good food, drinks and entertainment program, very clean and green territory, beautiful birds and Colobus (monkey) family permanently living there. Visited many other places and resorts, but Paradise Beach Resort made me feel much more comfortable to stay. One week was not enough, next time will come with my family for much longer period. 👍🏻

We visited this place last week and we stayed for 5 nights, the place is very beautiful but the service is very bad. When we got there, the pillow cases had blood stains, we told the lady at the reception but they only came at 23:50 after going there for the 2nd time to request for them change the bedding. The lady white lady at reception and some of the other staff werent welcoming AT ALL except for a few at the bars. We asked for an iron and waited for it until we left the place without getting the iron. I wasnt happy at all about the place👎🏽.

We spend 8 nights there for celebration of our 20 years wedding anniversary. A very nice place with friendly staff. Lot of in house resort entertainment if one did not go for excursions. Staff organized a nice private dinner for us, which was excellent. Thank you Hangi, Peter and everyone for the outstanding service. The excursions we took with travel company from the resort were excellent. Who can forget bottomless cocktails and other drinks as well?... we wouldnt mind recommending Paradise Beach Resort for other people.

My family and I enjoyed an 8 night stay at Paradise Beach Hotel. We loved every minute of it. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful with so many nooks an crannies and each one more beautiful than the other. The jetty is stunning and one of the highlights of the property. The wifi was non existant in the rooms, but provided us an opportunity to switch off and reconnect with nature.

Great place to relax, and great value for money (if you are young, get the all inclusive, if you dont want to get drunk everyday, this is not needed.Food is buffet style, but very delicious and ever changing, the cocktails taste great and are reasonably priced (5 usd per 2022).The animation team (which in most hotels is a mix between boring and cringe) really did a great job providing evening entertainment. The staff is very friendly and nice and recognizes you after a couple of days. The hotel itself is very pretty and doesnt feel crowded.Things to note (for which I dont want to deduct points, but might be addressed by management):- the excursion desk is terrible: they just re-sell local operators, do not take ownership of what they are selling, massively overpromise and do not respond to feedback at all. Furthermore, they just cancel trips last minutes, which really sucks for planning purposes. The experience of your trip depends entirely on the operators: I suggest booking directly through operators (my best experience: Pacco zanzibar) and ignore this deskAlso, they do not accept cards or are unable to fix their machine reader and lie about having a bank account (I.e. you can also not just transfer money there) ==> while not part of the hotel, management should definitely exchange this vendor! The location is very far from the airport/ ferry terminal and there is no über in Zanzibar. The hotel should definitely offer transfer services, as taxis are quite overpriced.

Dont stay here! Just dont! Its not even close to being a 4 Star Hotel! The bed was made, but the sheets were dirty. For sure we were not the first to be forced to sleep in those dirty sheets. The windows in the bathroom dont close properly. Insects come streaming in. The mosquito nets have holes! Geckos come inside. They spray a horrible smelling lemon room spray / insect spray every day in your room. You cant breath inside of your room before airing it out. The staff was quite indifferent and rude at times. The beach is NOT private! Locals walk from one village to the next and children ask you for money, not to mention the beachboys who are there 24/7. And they wait for you to come out the next day and the day after that once they talked to you. The food is exceptionally bad. In the evening the portions are small and expensive. It doesnt even taste like mediocre restaurant food. Its not worth the money. Each night the music is every loud and repetitive. People hang outside your door and talk loudly while drinking. The internet connection is the worst we have experienced on Zanzibar. You couldnt even watch one Youtube Video. No chance. If you dont want to wait hours for it to load. The staff just stands in a corner during e.g. the breakfast buffet and stares at people eating. Not attentive, because there is no service at the buffet, but rather angry and displeased. Not a peaceful way of eating your food. The spa is old, moldy and dirty! You wouldnt believe it! The staff told us there is no sauna. Only after a few days we heard that they did indeed have a sauna. If the staff doesnt even know what the hotel has to offer you begin to question this establishment. They say, they have a doctor in the hotel. After he helped my friend, he wanted 50 Dollar, because he said he came all the way from Stone Town, but nobody mentioned that the Hotel Doctor will charge you this much. When I wanted to get food for my friend the next morning, because she couldnt get out of bed, the staff from the buffet screamed at me for taking the plate with some toast outside even after I explained the situation and the person kept following me. Should I let my friend starve because they wont let me leave the buffet with a toast from the breakfast we paid for?!They have a small Mini Market infront of the place but when we asked before where to get water, they said we couldnt get water there, but they could make a deal for us and buy it for us for a little extra cash. So do you think its worth the money?! . . .

Beautiful location with stunning views. The sunrise every morning incomparable and glorious and worth waking up for. The accommodation acceptable and serviced daily. Clean towels for your room and pool offered. The food has improved 100% with the new chef from Poland. His input in the menu, decor and presentation made one want to go to the restaurant. Management and staff were always visible and listened to all complaints trying to help with whatever they could. The one lack was internet, obviously one can understand its an island but internet connectivity was sporadic and not available in our rooms. I would recommend this resort and a shout out to managers Richard and Neelius that honestly tried their best to accommodate a sudden influx of South Africans needing to spend 14 days out of SA.

We had originally booked to stay in the sister resort in Jambiani, the Beach and Reef resort. However , the bungalow we booked was damaged by weather so we were accommodated to this location instead , and in the end we were Extremely happy that it worked out that way.Our stay at Paradise Beach was amazing. Upon arrival, Mwinyi checked us in and gave us his WhatsApp so we could contact him if we needed anything since the resort is rather large. He even messaged us the next day to check and make sure our stay was going perfect. He was very attentive and helpful to us for our whole stay!We winded up doing the all inclusive package and we highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it because it was worth it. The staff behind the bars were all amazing and kind. We will always remember Jane, Mariam , Mahir and Emmanuel as we spent many days chatting with them while they gave us the best service at the bars! We consider all of them friends now and would come back just to visit them! While we were there, Ihab consulted us about possibly getting a massage or treatment at the spa. Most of the people we encountered on our travels in Zanzibar who were trying to sell us a massage, were quite pushy and almost wouldn’t leave you alone unless you bought something from them. which , if you’re anything like me , makes you completely not want to buy anything at all. When Ihab approached us he was the opposite! He gave us some options and was not pushy at all and he helped us work something out within our price range. Massages were done by Amina and Mariam3 who were really great and professional! He was sure to find us after the massage and make sure it was exactly what we wanted! Ihab was great and if you’re going to get a massage definitely see him as some of the other guys were extremely pushy. The buffet food was great and the staff in the kitchen were very kind to us. Sandra is the buffet manager and she was very sweet and helpful to us as well! We looked forward to seeing her in the mornings for breakfast and at dinner time. She also became like a friend to us throughout our stay. We were also fortunate enough to meet Stanly , one of the owners , who was very kind to us as well! Whenever we saw him he gave us a friendly wave and made sure our stay was perfect.Overall, our stay at Paradise Beach was over the top. We really enjoyed everything about it and the hospitality was great. The bungalow we stayed in was absolutely beautiful, had a patio right on the beach facing the water. It was a dream! We hope to definitely come back and visit our friends at Paradise Beach Resort in the future!❤️

Terrible rooms, terrible cleanliness- dirty, unkempt, bugs. Service from the manager was terrible. They didn’t have a real double room with two beds for two adults but kept telling our travel agent they did. There was no proper mosquito net on the ‘second’ bed. Staff kept showing up at the door with other people’s luggage. We spent literally hours at reception trying to get answers and solutions over a 3 day period. We eventually found our own alternate resort and demanded a refund from our agent.... which they readily supplied after seeing our photos. The beach is also hardly swimmable. You have to take the shuttle to another beach. It was such a terrible experience I feel obliged, even after several months, to help ensure others do not book this place unless there has been a 100% turnaround since last summer.

Paradise Beach resort is a beautiful place for couples or family getaways. The resort and facilities are 4*, in a beautiful layout with easy to reach pool and a beautiful jetty bar. The beach has too much seaweed for swimming but great for relaxing. There is however an hourly shuttle to a decent swimming beach. The rooms are old, slightly dilapidated and totally unappealing, a rug, linen and towels all need an update. To be fair though, for the price we paid, it was clean and adequate, and staff were happy to oblige with extra towels and pillows. Buffet meals were a variety of mediocre meals, which could pass for 3*. I would have loved to see a wider variety of salads and fruits and fresh fruit juices instead of watery cordials. There are 3 bars including the jetty bar where a variety of drinks are served till late night. As a non alcoholic, I enjoyed the Mocktails. What makes this resort exceptional for the price, and I would readily go back, is the staff. From reception to restaurant and cleaning staff, they always had a friendly greeting and were willing to help with a smile. A special mention is Hassan in charge of entertainment, and the restaurant manager, you made Zanzibar special for me.

The place has 3 bars with different settings. One at the pool and one by the sea. Grounds are well maintained. Rooms are clean. Food is great. Showers have hot water. WiFi available. The day trips and activities are a bit on the expensive side and the boutique was expensive for us so didnt buy the swimming costume I needed as I forgot mine at home. The resort offers various free entertainment in the evening, beach volley and beach soccer l. An interesting village tour is also offered for free. I suggest you stay people stay a minimum of four nights to really enjoy the place. 7 days is best. Nice but too often ocean is in low tides, making the water line inaccessible. Pool is the only solution. Staff super friendly. All inclusive option is not really all that all inclusive. Does not includes lots of things, like beach towels, room safe box, most of the cocktails in the bar. Bottled water in room free for first night only. Big issue with regulations of water temperature in the shower. One second you freeze and just another one you boil. Very unsafe. Ambience very appealing. My favorite place - bar with a lounge on the pier. No tv or phone in the room. That means that with everything you need to run to reception on foot. Consider your options before commiting to booking. We are a group of seven and each of us had different things we enjoyed. Firstly the food was great we had the all-inclusive package, thus we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner. This also included selected cocktails as many as you would like. This package is highly recommended. The staff are very friendly but not so efficient as the language gap makes it a bit difficult to understand. The rooms are standard, the beds at least were comfortable with a ceiling fan and air conditioning, the showers water pressure were good and water always warm. The rooms were serviced every day and we got clean linen and towels daily. The rooms were clean and neat.We all agreed the only thing we needed in the rooms was a bar fridge. Only a few of the rooms do not have and it is very difficult to keep water cold, knowing that the tap water is not recommended to be drunk.Take note that TIA is definitely a factor in Zanzibar especially when you take an excursion into Stonetown or to the spice farms the people here are dependent on the tourism industry to survive. Thus even as little as $1 makes a difference. Be prepared to tip and barter for everthing. Safari Blue took us out for the day to snorkel - it was an amazing day out. Lovely seafood lunch on Kwale island where you can buy some souvenirs at the curio shops. This package through Sun Tours included a second day on a tour through Stonetown and also a Spice tour and Swahili lunch. This was only $90. This on the otherhand was a bit staged. They took us to designated shops and only 1 or 2. We had limited time to shop there. The spice tour was interesting and the meal decent but yet again the constant harassment for tips was annoying.

No soap or shampoo in room. No blankets. Not clean. Toilets and drains blocked. Holes in mosquitoe nets. Staff patronising and unhelpful. Locks to rooms not working. Dirty beach with sinking sand. Pool and volley ball court was good. Cats allowed in dining area, scratched two members in our group.

There is no pleasure in being ripped off. A local beer costs 250-300 % more than an imported one in Mozambique.Looks good but mostly hype, staff act friendly, but struggle to deliver even an mediocre service. If you are not carrying dollars to waist, then look elsewhere.

Beautiful setting, relaxing vibe, friendly staff. All inclusive package makes all the difference. Activities for kids, lovely deep pool and loads of sun-soaked stretches of beach.

Paradise Beach Resort hosts extremely friendly staff, regular hotel activities and a great variety of foods. The beach boy Edward aka Eddie (independent of the hotel) but situated on the beaches hotel organised three safe, affordable and memorable excursions helping my family and I to view the entire island. The excursions (priced on average $40 per day) covered dolphin swimming in the South, visit to the Jozani Forest, Stone Town Tour, Prison Island, snorkeling off Mnemba Island, Nungwi Beach, and a Spice Tour.

Cocktails consist of alcohol and soda... lick of ice for drinks in super hot weather . Not recommended at all. Personnel super friendly but management is poor.
