Clean toilet with running water. No hot water. Sleeping under the stars with wild animal sounds. Very cool indeed. A couple of buildings for mess Hall and kitchen as well. Able to see buffaloes and does from the campsite itself. Awake in the morning to find huge droppings in the campsite area. Friend claims he heard a lion prowling around.
Unique experience!! Sleep among animals!! Try to pee before go to sleep, it might be scary and somehow dangerous in.themiddle of the night!
Campsite does not have the best facilities, but then it is in the middle of the Serengeti!Showers are freezing cold, so you wont spend long in them! The toilets tended to be shared with bugs and spiders, but the didnt bother you.Nice covered areas for cooking and eating if the weather isnt great.Amazing views of the sky at night, fantastic location in the middle of the Serengeti with game drives starting the moment you leave camp.Totally surreal experience seeing all the animals literally just outside (or maybe inside) the campsite. Can even experience lions around the camp at night!
Perfect campsite for us in the middle of nowhere :)
Rudimentary Camping Place in the mid of Serengeti. The shower only has cold water and the light in the toilet isnt working. That doesnt matter much as there is no fence around the camp and a lot of hyenas so you barely dare to go to toilet anyway. Great experience. Would recommend for adventure vacation.
Only 1 cold shower for 40 male campers.... Imagine the queue in the freezing temperatures of August. No electricity to recharge phones. No wifi.
I suppose this site is great for some, but public toilets and showers were disgusting.
Limited facilities so not for the fussy
Amazing
Great place!
The camping is an area immersed in the Serengeti where the tents are mounted, the only masonry structures are the kitchen, common room and bathrooms (we were also in a public camping in the Ngongoro and the style was the same). The amazing thing is to be and sleep a short distance from the animals! A fantastic experience! Not to mention the starry sky that you can admire at night, or dawn in the morning .. Beautiful!
Public camping very correct, basic, but with everything necessary for a good stay. The most economical way to stay in Tanzania parks.
Fairly spartan campsite, there are 3 facilities: kitchen, dining room and bathrooms (fairly clean only many dead insects attached to the nets on the windows) in the campsite in the afternoon 50 mongooses arrived to rummage through the garbage while before sunset 3 elephants were turning a few meters from the campsite :)
Good for the Serengeti. Super wildlife in the area
The place is rented to companies that make the safaris, so your tent will be set up by those who contrast for the service. The place offers only one area to eat (communal with the other tourists) and the kitchen area for those in charge of preparing your food. In my experience, there was no electricity to charge batteries but there was light for the bathrooms and the food area. There is an area of bathrooms and showers. Do not expect hot water in the savannah. The incredible thing about the site is that being inside the Serengeti, you are in direct contact with the animals, with all that it includes. You can listen, depending on the animals that roam the area, from lions to buffalo and even listen or see the hyenas. If adventure is your thing, you should definitely camp at the Serengeti. If you are used to the hotel, you will not appreciate the experience.
