We had one of the best days of our trip at this camp because of the amazing atmosphere the staff provides. What a service! Thank you! It is a tented camp so please inform yourself before booking...bed is extremely comfortable but of course that shower is limited. Staff has to load hot water into a bucket lifted behind the tent.
I really enjoyed my stay here. I was here for 2 nights and this is the first time I ever camped out with a bathroom and shower attached to my camp. What was also very cool in camping here is that because we are in the national park, at night we can hear animals sounds. I was even told that animals have passed by here at night. They do not allow you to wander around on your own when the sun sets - with good reason of course. I really enjoyed the stay and the staff were great!
It was great to have a more wild safari experience and I would definitely stay at Kati Kati again. See below for info about new government tax to NP accommodation. We were greeted by friendly & helpful staff, briefed and then shown to our tent which was spacious and clean & tidy. Back end of the tent has a real (ceramic) sink with tap, and two zip compartments, one real toilet and one bucket shower. The shower bucket outside the tent is filled with warm water when requested and we found it enough for the two of us to have a quick shower, stopping and starting the flow as required. Plenty of safe water provided in flasks to drink and at the sink for tooth brushing. Animal noises at night, and hyena near the camp, but we were so tired we slept really well. Bedside lamps were a bit dim so we found our head torch useful for reading. A whistle provided to use during night if any emergency.Nightly camp fire before dinner and bar drinks available. Starry sky is the best I have ever seen. Dining was great, food was very good, service excellent. Breakfast great, self service, no huge range but everyone got plenty, eggs cooked to request, and especially liked fruit yogurt which we also put into lunch box. Choice for lunch box slightly reduced (especially fruit) if made up later, so if you want choice, get up earlier! Vegetable noodles were great idea to have in lunch box. We were able to charge devices any time in dinning tent. Staff let us leave camera battery to charge, and they turned if off later when they went to bed so it was ready in the morning.Unique place to stay and I would recommend for a comfortable friendly Safari experience. We stayed two nights of our four night safari and this was my favourite accommodation. Because this is a mobile campsite it was not subject to recent tax of $50 per person, per night (July 2017) which was introduced by the new government and which applies to permanent accommodations in all the National Parks ( each park has $ rate).
Defenetely great experience to stay so close to the wild African nature, you can see zebras right beside your tent, hear hyena and see them down the hill. When its getting dark Masai guys accompany you to the restaurant and back with flash lights. Food is good and have options to choose from. Beer or wine or juice not included. They give you warm water in cans to wash your clothes after day in dusty roads. Obviously you not gonna have long shower, they fill tanks when you ask them. You can ask to give more water if you like. And you can hear other people snoring through thin tent walls, but who cares, just appreciate the opportunity to be in this special place. I loved it 🦓🦁
Wild drama at night the lion roaming around and hyena laughing like wild drama.great experience life in bush camp where there is not TV or wifi only or no country music or jazz only wild sounds, exciting time with lifetime memories, buffaloes walk in camp path way just a wild . breakfast or lunch while you enjoy wild animals with different birds . dont forget the bush Tv without chanels just a firewood
Fantastic location, great staff, great food. Very nice people. Hot shower, hot breakfast, lunch and dinner in the middle of Serengeti. Life Time of memories and a great experience. Highly recommend it.
Wonderful experiment, magic night. Great staff. The tent is very comfy.
Amazing wildlife camping experience in Serengeti. Thank you so much for the great time!
Super nice service! The best soup in the world.Food is awsome!
Wonderful stay
Absolutely great facility in the middle of the Serengeti. Tent bungalows with fixed huge beds, Sitzklo and bucket shower each separated with tarpaulin from the bedroom. Fly screen window with views directly into the Serengeti. Absolutely muckendicht everything. Shower water is heated over wood and filled in front of the planned shower in a bucket (20 liters), which is triggered by chain hoist itself. Quantity goes without hair washing easy for two people. Open tent restaurant overlooking the Serengeti. During the day, zebras walk right through the grounds. Otherwise wildebeest and ostriches in sight, cats only heard at night. Food very good, for that everything has to be extra rangekarrt. The distance from civilization is also paid for with the drinks. Everything is close together, very familiar. Mobile phones can be charged at a charging station in the restaurant tent, no sockets in the living tent. Nothing is lockable, as tents with zippers. Not for scaredy rabbits!
Impeccable service in this place at the end of the world. it is absolutely necessary to spend a quiet evening by the fireside in the bush. the comfort is very good and the service meticulous and enthusiastic.
Impeccable service. Great Tanzanian Accommodation
