From the Beaches we have seen on our trip to Zanzibar this one was the nicest of all. The sand and the color of water are just spectacular. There are also a lot of Bars and Restaurants just on the beach.

Perfect beach! Just what you imagine from Zanzibar. White sand and turquoise water 😍 the beach is pleasant for swimming.The only negative are the amount of sellers. Besides this, it is perfect.The place is very lively but not crowded. There is a craft market near the beach that is worth visiting. There are many nice options for souvenirs. There are also many restaurants in the area.

I am sorry to hear that about half of this public beach has been sold to the next door - Sandies Boabab Hotel - making the beach private excluding locals and other tourists! Its so sad that the community has given in to capitalism and sold out what is a lovely beach - a mixture of locals, local tourist and tourists from Nungwi village hotels!Beautiful beach which changes so much with the tides. Spoil yourself with Marys (tall and slender) massage at Lalis tours and massage (next to Nungwini Inn)! No sea urchins, only fine white sand!

One of the best beaches in the area. The tides are less significant than in the northern and eastern parts of Nungwi. With a strong low tide, swimming is not very convenient, but at least it is possible, unlike other beaches. The beaches are amazing. To begin with, there are not many people and it is possible to walk through the fine sand until you find a more or less remote place. The rise and fall of the tide are to some extent interesting: until noon the tide is growing so that there are areas where you have to get wet to pass, a small adventure. From then on and during the rest of the day, the tide goes down and the sandy coast widens. I recommend especially in the morning to stay on the beach, the atmosphere is much quieter, also caused by high tide. In the afternoon, something that is also worth seeing, the locals go out to practice several sports on the same shore of the sea.There are people who try to sell the mango-coconut tandem, decorative products such as bracelets, or boat trips to perform typical activities at sea ... although this is inevitable. They approach and leave with a smile, which is the important thing.
