Extremely delicious fresh fish. I had fresh fried whole snapper and it was delicious. I was thinking of pole pole but service was quick. Alex was so on point with drinks and food and answered all of my questions with knowledge and patience. This was not only a perfect last night for me in Zanzibar but one of the most seasoned and moist whole fish I’ve eaten in awhile. Ask for Alex if you can he does a wonderful job. Thanks Alex!!

The food was good and the prices are like 25,000 tzc (12 dollars) per main dish. Nice view of the beach and live dance and music on saturdays. Service was good to, kind waitress.

Very slow service and seafood not cooked properly.We were heading to airport and had an hour to eat. The waitress said the dishes we ordered (chicken and grilled lobster) would take 15-20 min to cook. However the food did not arrive until 1 hour later, when we had to leave. Moreover, the lobster we ordered came completely raw. We did not have time to wait for the dish to be re-cooked, so had to leave hungry unfortunately.

We were here 4 nights, reception was great. Fat Fish staff seem to cater to a certain group of people. If we sat near the railing overlooking the water we were ignored, service was slow, lots of smokers at the restaurant, and the hotel it’s attached to. Getting the bill to pay was a major challenge, then having the bill had to get up and go to the cashier not to mention the charges would be wrong also , so check your bill before you pay. The chef burnt the lobster my husband ordered. My meal was not spicy like I asked for.

Average food, the cashier didn’t seem to be interested in what is happening. Service was sloppy. Plenty of other better options around.

Good prices, good food, especially in the evenings where you can pick from a selection of fresh seafood. Good cocktails, and the only place I found that offered hookah. You can spend a pleasant evening here.

Situated in Amaan Bungalows Nungwi resort as in the main and only restaurant.Lovely staff, With a terrace actually in and overlooking the ocean, great views with stairs access to the beach on low tide as well.Fair menu, but a little bit pricey.They serve different good quality shisha / hookah for 25000 Tanzanian Shillings.Very bad and slow wifi connection!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Zanzibar! Fresh fish, beautiful views and entertainment in the evening always kept us coming back. Affordable but could have done with a better cup of coffee in the morning. Overall, thrilled to have stumbled upon this place.

Useless service. Not attentive at all. When the waiter finally got around to clearing our plates, he specifically asked if I want vanilla or chocolate ice cream with my cheesecake. I say vanilla so instead I get normal cream Smothered in chocolate sauce. A political statement? If not it’s weird either way.

Best cocktail prices! (In happy hour 5-7 pm only 7000 THS) Attentive service. Amazing view. Didntt eat there but for drinks definitely recommend.

One of the worst meals ever , when the meals arrived totally ruined by an invasion of flies whilst the waiter just stood there totally bemused as to why we were complaining at the sight of 30/40 flies swarming onto your meal 🤬never again

The bad reviews put us off coming here - but we came for sundowner drinks & dinner on our last night and it was as good as any of the other nice beach bar/restuarants in Nungwi! We found the normal Zanzibar service time in restuarants usually means they are cooking the food fresh, which is good!

Disgusting food and worst service ! Ordered a club sandwich which was soggy and watermelon juice that was sour. I asked for ice in my juice several times and the waiter forgot. Then they even forgot to bring me the bill. I was actually so close to just walking out and in hindsight I should have...later that evening I was very sick so may have got food poisoning from this place. I could have just been unlucky but there are so many other wonderful places to go nearby instead.

Nice view but not kindly personal..you have a wine in the bottle after food and waiter will bring you the bill. He wants new guests=new business. We wanted dessert, now better no.

We had The Spaghetti Supreme (pasta mot tomato sauce and vegetables) and The Vegetable Pizza.Spaghetti was delicious.Of course, the pizza was not Italian pizza, but it was well topped.The waiter seemed a bit present but it didnt take an unusually long time for us to have our food.

Very good restaurant. Yes, a little slow, but the restaurant is big, and besides, you can wait on vacation. Drinks, by the way, are delivered quickly. Beer is cheaper here than in the surrounding area. The food is different, there is fish of the day. Someone speaks almost every day. I recommend spending the evening here.

A good place. Spacious (not everywhere here). The quality is acceptable. The prices are usually overpriced for establishments with an ocean view. They do not cook quickly, prepare to wait, warm up with a bottle of local beer 🍺 Burgers (for those who are interested) are normal size and tasty.

Awful place! We entered the restaurant, the service was terrible. A waiter came to us to take an order only after we called him from the bar. We received a light snack just half an hour after ordering. The food arrived after an hour and a half !!! The food arrived cold and not fresh. We decided to take ourselves and left the restaurant. Does not recommend anyone approach.
