Stayed at the hotel next door, Z Hotel, for 14 days (lucky me:)) and ate here at least half of the time.The food is fresh, well made, well served and delicious. The staff is courteous, prompt and attentive.I loved everything about my experience here.Celebrated New Years Eve here as well and man oh man, that was a treat!!If you ever find yourself eating here, you wont regret it!

Friendly staff, Beautiful atmosphere. Small tables are available right on the beach and also a big shaded terrace overlooking the ocean. Our food was excellent.

We just returned from a week at the Z hotel and were obsessed with the dinner menu at Sexy Fish! We may have eaten the lobster lollipops almost every day. The lobster thermidor, prawns and squid ink risotto with calamari are 5 star we loved eating with a view of the water. The service was great- Hamad and Roda especially! You must check out this restaurant if you are in Nungwi.

People who write positive reviews- who are you??We decided to attend the restaurant before leaving and were negatively surprised.I ate salad with lobsters etc- it was tasteless. We ordered cokteils, and i asked my husband why there is no alcohol?? Pina colada seems to be like just juice. The same with my husbands food.The worst restaurant in Nungwi. And we are living here for 10 days, i visited many places.Also, waiters did not pay attention to us.So 0 stars from 5!!!

The food is delicious, but quite pricey. For the customers staying in the Z Hotel (which we weren’t) they do have discounts.I suggest you go there at least once during your stay though.

Was really excited to eat here as looks fabulous from the outside, but have to agree with the other reviewer who said who are these people giving this place 5 stars???On a Tuesday night it took almost an hour for sub par sushi, fishy shrimp tacos and tuna ceviche with so much cumin dumped upon it it burned my mouth, throat and stomach. All window dressing and no substance.

Nice decor and right on the beach. Trying to be fancy but the food flavours misses the mark and not worth the relatively high prices.Service could have been better they closed the kitchen during our meal and didnt pre-warn us and only said kitchen closed when we tried to order dessert, which was silly.

Best food I had during these 2 weeks I was in Sansibar!! Really loveley and qualified stuff the whole day during lunch and dinner.Definitely would come back for like these shrimp spaghettis

They refuse to give us a table after they made us wait for an hour even though the restaurant it was still open! The staff was rude and didn’t have any companion. Do not waste your time.

The waiters are good! Nice people. The atmosphere is great. Tables must be booked. The view is excellent.But. The kitchen does not match the declared prices!In restaurants nearby, which are 2 times cheaper - the dishes are tastier by an order of magnitude.Seafood salad - from the grill - but all cold (and there is no salad as such - just a mix of meat from the grill).Wine is served warm (like hot water in the ocean).The rolls are not bad, but too expensive for what they have - who tried it in Kiev - they cost $ 5, not $ 14.Grill octtopus - good, but no garnish for it.The tuna tartare is just fine. The fish is fresh, but it is not clear why it was drowned in lemon juice and oil - the fish turned white from an excess of lemon juice.Alcoholic cocktails - served practically without alcohol.Risotto with squid - squids are hard, and risotto ... risotto is hard to spoil, but they succeeded!

Romantic atmosphere that you also have to pay for. The service was very attentive and quick. Delicious food, greetings from the kitchen were also included.It is best to reserve a table on the beach the day before (no extra charge)

We dined at this restaurant once, we really liked some dishes, a little less than others. A table must be booked in advance, as there are a lot of visitors. The ocean view is amazing, the service is very decent, the waiters are trying. The tuna ceviche is excellent, as is the crab bruschetta salad. Grilled seafood plate: one lobster, two king prawns, fish, squid and octopus. Everything was slightly overcooked, without any additional sauces, simply. The check is absolutely sane - 56,000 shillings with beer and fresh juice.
