I decided to give 5 stars because this place has a soul compared to other places. You feel more a guest and less a tourist. The guys managing the house are amazing and the girl running the business walked with us to the beach to show us where it was. Service is superb. The rooms are comfy and with a big bathroom. There is a porch where you have a dining area. Breakfast is included and it is also easy to meet new people. If I go back, this is the place to stay.

Very friendly staff who were always helpful. Huge delicious breakfast each morning. The only thing was the place does not have windows but nets (bars and wooden shutters for security) which means if people are noisy or outside in the main village it can get quite noisy.

A small neat and place. Nungwi beach is a safe walking distance away. Good if all you need is a clean comfy bed at the end of the day. Staff were good. You get a key for door and main entrance to let yourself in whatever hour you come back from the many restaurants at the beach.

Rajab, the place owner and manager was so amazing and cool. He was very helpful and friendly. He wakes up every morning to prepare the breakfast which consists of freshly cut local juicy fruits and some toast, jam, peanut butter and your choice of eggs and teas. Our rooms were always clean everytime we came back from a trip. We felt pretty safe staying at this place and the location was so convenient for the amazing nungwi beach and some local shops, stores and cafes.

Very nice staff, clean and well furnished rooms as well as a cosy breakfast area and garden. The breakfast is outstanding with fresh fruits, juice, eggs break and toast & chipatti. Within 2 min. you are at the beach and the location is less noisy than the beach line hotels. The hotel manager support in all possible ways and gives great tips for restaurants and activities.

Nungwi House is a new place, so we we were a bit sceptical due to thelack of reviews of other guests. But we decided for the hotel due to the fair rate, the near to the ocean and the available pictures.When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the manager. He took care of our luggage and showed us our room and the facility. He let us know that we can approach him for any concerns and he will be happy to help with anything. The good first impression was even trumped by the nice breakfast experience in the morning. The kitchen staff was very kind.We were served at the table. Breakfast started with a big fruit platter, followed by eggs on our choice with toast and Chapati (African bread) and finished by a freshly blended fruit smoothie and cookie. Coffee was available throughout the day at no extra charge.The staff also provided us with much information about Nungwi (likewere to eat for cheap, were to buy groceries, were to go at the beach).If we go back to Nungwi (which has definitely the best beaches onZanzibar) we will definitely stay here again. Strongly recommend thisplace for anyone whos looking for affordable, cosy and luxuryaccomodation at the same time!

During our month-long stay on Zanzibar this was our favourite hotel. Staff and manager are really welcoming, they care about you more that we would imagine. It is not the most luxorious hotel, but it is clean, well furnished, recently renovated. We would return here :)

Great, affordable place to stay. Lovely, simple decor.While it is not on the beach, it is just a stones throw away. If you wish to access a pool, just feel to spend time at the poolside and seaside of any of the Nungwi hotels for a nominal fee ($5 or so).

Excellent place!!! Best we had in 2 weeks spent in Tanzania! Its extremly clean and the breakfast is amazing! 1 huge plate only with fruits then another huge plate with the food. After breakfast we only needed dinner :). The staff is friendly and the manager speaks perfectly english ;)

I was surprised by amazing hospitality. Michal took us around and enhanged. He also arranged the best prices for taxi and a trip. Breakfast was still the same, but tasty and solid. I strongly recommend.

Nungwi House is about 2 hours away from the airport. We were skeptical about the distance in the beginning but we later realized it was the best decision we took. The house is literally 2 minutes walk from the sea and you can walk along the beach to find best swim spots, restaurants or bars.We were five girls who travelled. We booked two rooms and requested to have 3 single beds in one room and 2 in the other. The management accepted our request and organized our rooms for us.Breakfast is included in the accommodation fee. We were always served fresh fruits, passion fruit juice, tea, coffee and eggs every morning. Breakfast starts at 8:00am and you can eat as much as you want.Nungwi House has very friendly staff. Moudy, the manager on duty was very helpful in getting us taxis at good rates and was always ready to answer our questions about where to go. He made time one evening to take us to the Kendwa Beach Party and stayed with us till we wanted to go home. Very kind gesture! Mariam(I hope I got her name right) and Tito were always beaming with smiles and very happy to assist.Internet access is one key thing I look out for when searching for accommodation. There was WiFi in our rooms and when outside the house (~50m), it worked just fine. We had no interruptions during our stay.I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nungwi. It’s affordable and you get what you see in the pictures.

The Nungwi Guesthouse is by far my fav hotel in Nungwi! The rooms are beautifully decorated, and each room has an individual touch. Inside the guesthouse you can relax in the garden and have a chat with the manager or other guests. Breakfast is plenty, fresh and served all day!It is located a little away from the obnoxious bars and noise. If you want to experience Nungwi on a budget and away from the beachboy-madness, this is the place to be.

An amazing place to stay and enjoy time on the nungwi beach in Zanzibar. Its located right on the sands of the beach so you can wake up to the sound of the surf hitting the shore. You also get a great breakfast included.

Nice place to be, i just spent my honeymoon there, the service is awesome, although no beach view but the garden and rest place are awesome, beach is near by. The morning breakfast and the fruits super service! I wonder how would it be when every thing is done and complet!

Great breakfast with a wide range of freshly cut fruits. Friendly manager who showed us around the neighbourhood and organised a local snorkeling to the Mnemba Atoll at an affordable cost. Highly recommend this snorkeling trip!

Lovely and friendly staff, it’s a brand new place and it’s very clean. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is plentiful. Although it’s not directly on the beach, it’s about 3 mins away.

Only ceiling vent, no AC. Opened windows concept so you hear every sound. Very early morning prayers (at 5:00 am) thats wake you up. No safe in room. The bed is so hard. Staff is pleasant. For anyone who doesnt expect much, is OK.

DONT GO THERE!!!Unfortunately, I was missing money from my room. When I wanted to move out and call the police, the owner gave me my entire rent back. I wanted him to keep the money for the nine days I stayed there. But he declined. The next morning he reported me to the police and told them that I had not paid for the few days I stayed there. According to the owner and the opinion of the police, I broke the deal. Ín the end I had to pay more than we agreed on, almost 300 000 tzsh, plus the 50$ they stole there . The same day I found out that a friend, who had stayed there a while back, was also missing Money from her room. She stayed in the same room as me. The door was saved by a lock which you didnt even have to open in order to enter the room. Everyone could have just walked in. And if you consider that the owner does not pay his co-workers, but provides them a bed and Food for their work, you may come up with the motive for why money is stolen there!!!Furthermore, you can find much nicer housings in Nungwi for the same Price. The walls contain stain spots, sleeping in the beds feels like sleeping in a hammock. Also there arent any mosquito nets. If you are lucky to have one in your room, you will not be able to put it down because it interferes with the fan!!

For my money, a normal option. The rooms are not very large, there is no air conditioning, very weak water pressure in the shower. We were practically not in the room, so we didnt pay much attention to it. I am glad that they give a lot of fruit for breakfast and the breakfasts themselves are good.

The internet is fast and the best of hotels, restaurants and cafes I have lived in Tanzania.You can watch a movie at night.This service and facility is well worth it and is 100% willing to return.Breakfast includes toast, fruit and fresh fruit juices, serving as much as you want.The staff are all friendly and warm.One unfortunate thing is air conditioning, but its worth coming back.I made a booking with Gingarmin because of the high rating on Hotels.com.The rooms are clean and well cared for (travelers, toilet racks, storage space, etc.), handmade soaps, showers are clean and watery.It is completely satisfied with the real real price. :)

We stayed 8 nights in this family guest house. Simple and basic rooms overlooking an outdoor courtyard (thanks to which security and privacy are guaranteed with respect to the other guest houses in the outskirts without a courtyard) with the ground in fine white sand ... we have been barefoot all week and there we felt at home, also thanks to the availability and the smile and the discretion of the guys who run the guest house who also cooked the fish we caught and with which we shared 3 dinners. Hearty breakfast with fresh fruit and chapati with Nutella. At 50 meters from the most beautiful beach of Nungwi ... close to small shops and a cheap local restaurant Mama Africa, as well as many cafes on the beach where you can enjoy grilled fish and cocktails at reasonable prices. We highly recommend it for value for money and location. We will definitely be back !!!

We were staying at this hotel for 3 days, and very happy. The hotel has been remodeled recently and although it is not luxurious it has everything you need and is very clean.Breakfast is very good, with juice, toast, eggs, ... it is only 2 minutes from the beach walking, right in the center of Nungwi where is the supermarket, pharmacy, ...Moudy, the manager of the hotel helped us with everything, excursions, taxis, recommendations of local restaurants, .... the truth is that he always got us very good prices and the services were excellent. Thank you very much Moudy for answering our thousands of questions !!We hope to return soon to Nungwi !!

In the middle of the small town of Nungwi, this cozy B&B was born, excellently managed by Moudy. The value for money is very high, the rooms are large enough and clean (towels changed frequently), the excellent and abundant breakfast, the sea is really very close (2 minutes walk) and it is the area, in my opinion, better to bathe without being particularly annoyed by the tides. But undoubtedly the added value is given by the staff and by Moudy in particular who is always ready to give you really useful tips and advice. It accompanies you to see the essential things that are close to the B&B and has an answer to every request. For those who really want to experience Zanzibar and not stay inside a Resort, Nungwi house is more than an option.

Summer 2018 spent a week with the family. Great stay. Very hospitable. Super clean. Delicious breakfast. Upon arrival, a tour of the area and tips for the best eateries. Moody arranged a good price for Taxies and excursions.Really recommended.In the July 2018 we visit Nungwi house for 1 week. It was a fantastic holliday. Great acommodation, friendly service, very clean, and lovely breakfast. At arrival Moody walked with us through the neighborhood and attended us at the best restaurants. Moody also arranged best taxi and excursions at the best prices for us. We really recomment Nungwi House. I hope to come back sometime.

We highly recommend the Nungwi House! The host Moody is very nice and helpful. He has us for example helped with the car rental, standuppaddeling, in the selection of restaurants, etc. In addition, we were allowed to use the kitchen in the evening, when we cooked ourselves. The rooms are very nice (especially clean) and each with a fan. Although there are no mosquito nets, but the rooms are sprayed every night, so we were protected from bites. All in all we were VERY satisfied and will gladly come again!

A quiet and cozy place to visit Nungwi. The staff is friendly, always ready to help you and prepare an incredible breakfast: varied fruit, coffee, tea, natural juice that they prepare themselves at that time, toast and eggs as you choose. It is 2 minutes walk from a wonderful beach with crystal clear waters that connects with all others. There are also good restaurants where you can eat local food and fresh fish at a great price! The best beaches on the island, without a doubt !!!
