This place was lovely. The staff is incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The environment is comfortable and laid back, with a nice restaurant, garden, and pool area. Rooms aren’t fancy but are cozy and have everything you need. The view from the terrace is incredible and it’s a nice place for an evening drink. Overall, the place has a great vibe that perfectly matches the feeling of the town.

Best accomodation in town, staff is very kind and attentive (especially Lucy) and food is always good. Amazing view of Iringa from the deck where you can enjoy a special sunset. Ive been there few times and look forward to the next stay!

This is probably one of the nicest hotels in Iringa. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are really good although the mattresses would probably not allow a stay for over one week. Breakfast is good dinner is served both in the inside restaurant and on the upstairs sunset platform. The sunset platform is of course magnificent . You can really see amazing sunsets over there city of Iringa . To sit there , have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and let the day break is really an experience . This is actually a must visit place in Iringa

My favorite place to stay in Iringa. As the same suggests, one of the best spots in Iringa to catch the sunset. It is set at the foot of a hill with great view of Iringa town. The food is delicious and staff are very helpful and courteous. The rooms are good with amenities such as hot water and tea or coffee (instant) available in the rooms.

Good rooms and location. Very disappointed that on both of my stays there was no hot water in the morning as the hotel controls the water heaters. I requested that the heater be switched on early morning so we can get hot water before our journey but they did not. We arrived at 3pm on our second visit but the room was not ready for us. Although staff are friendly and helpful they need better supervision to ensure customer requests are looked after.

My husband had curry and me fish and both dishes were very nice. The service was outstanding and the place itself is amazing! I think it became my most favourite place to eat in Iringa 🙂 also very affordable.

The place has the best sunset view in Iringa. The sunset view deck is comfortable and safe with variety of drinks from waitresses with high hospitality. Their restaurant is gorgeous with delicious dishes. I recommend you visit there next time you are in Iringa.

Amazing hotel nestled in the small and quaint town of Iringa. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are large, and come equipped with a very well placed mosquito net; as a result, no issues with bugs. And the rooms also have a kettle and space heater. The showers are large and the water is nice and hot along with good water pressure. If you arrive in time to watch the sunset, they have a nice observatory deck that serves food and drink! Their complimentary breakfast buffet had a great assortment.

The hotel is very good. It is on the hill having excellent view on the town of Iringa. Very fresh air. However, it is far from the main road and any go outside should be done by a car, especially in the dark time.

Quiet hotel at the top of the hillThis is an exclusive hotel which is up the hill. It has the best view if Iringa town. There is a bone fire place. Staff are courteous and helpful. There is security wall for cars and customers.

Excellent value in Iringa! Stunning views set in the granite cliffs of this Tanzania provincial town. Rooms are simple so dont expect the Waldorf Astoria here please. Service is fine, although you should expect to request basic services like cleaning and restocking that ordinarily come automatically. Food is very reasonably priced.

I stayed at Sunset for a few nights and while in Iringa at a later stage, visited the Hotel again for the magnificent views from the sunset deck. This hotel is located at one of the best sites to see Iringa and the sunset. And the personnel are extremely friendly and helpful. To be recommended.

Awesome place to ne especially the amazing view of the town n the sun setting view. The land scaping n the timber houses on rocks is just amazing. The only drawback is the timbwr house which lack soundproofing that u can hear the sound from ur neighbour....

Coming Home Again: Even better than I remembered!My team stayed at the Sunset hotel last year and had a wonderful experience. Back again this year, Owner Baptista and his team greeted us like family! We were so happy to be home.The rooms: Fabulous! Big, light and airy.-- Comfortable big bed: love the high posts, netting and extra warm blankets for the chilly nights.-- Lots of space including chairs and a little love seat to kick back and relax. A desk to work.-- A universal power supply! WOOHOO! No converter needed to power up my phone and laptop. WOOHOO!-- Fair (not great) internet service -- but MUCH better than last year!-- Big bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Good water pressure.-- TV? REALLY? HBO and more English channels than our hotel in Dar. Nice!-- A space heater! Great way to get the chill out.-- Small room fridge! And a coffee/tea maker! Man, Baptista! You are the best!-- Bath amenities were sparse: soap only. Would be nice to get shampoo/conditioner, but a minor nit.Terrace overlooking the city: Perfect venue for a drink after a long day and a chance to see the wonderful sunset over the city.Great room/dining area: Perfect hang out for breakfast and diner. Also our gathering place to work as a team.-- Long tables with plenty of chairs.-- Staff is very helpful and accomodating: get drinks, power strips, coffee, whatever...-- Good wifi. Internet was usually good. There were some periods of outage, but nothing too long. Much more consistent than only a year ago and MUCH better than most other places we experienced.Staff: Can not do enough for you! Very pleasant, helpful and willing. Always smiling and thoughtful. The guys would not let me carry my backpack! I never had to lug my bag anywhere, it was magically carried off.Food: Pretty good. Service was fast and food was hot. Im happy!WIne: Every night, they had a bottle chilled and waiting for us. Life is good!The Ambiance: That is the real differentior. The Sunset is special. It captures that unique gentle warmth of Tanzania and wraps it up in a bright bow. The improvements to the site and the amenities from last year to this year are indeed significant and impressive. But it is Baptista and his staff that will bring me back home again next year. We cant wait...

The Sunset Hotel is a great place to take a break from the dusty overland and have a sundowner and tasty meal with a beautiful view and then a hot shower and comfortable bed. The staff are super friendly and helpful. If you are travelling into Ruaha National Park then this is the place to stay the night before so that you can get into the park early enough to have time time manage the parks 24hour payment cycle rule. I hope to visit again some day :)
