It is one of the best chill spots. I would have given it 5 stars but customer service wasnt as welcoming as we expected. We had already made reservations and upon arriving it seemed as if the reservation we made wasnt considered. And we were being told to sit at a place that wasnt even close to how we wanted it. But thanks to a wonderful lady who came up and assisted us getting a nice place. The service is a bit slow but after we ordered the meal came just in time. I loved the cocktail shrimps and chicken Tikka. The prices are so reasonable and yeah they do serve drinks. I will definitely go again in a near future

Fast service, adequate tapas portions and delicious ! The cheese and spinach croquettes were crunchy and creamy inside. Also, the bbq prawns were spicy and tasty. Great option if you want to share food with friends!The cashier could have been more polite and help us to get change to pay for taxi since we were coming to restaurant for dinner. Waiter ended up doing us the favor of giving us change instead of the cashier.

Fast service and nice atmosphere. The guacamole and salsa were really good. The tapas were well presented and cute. However, they are small so I would suggest getting an appetizer with it or another plate. I felt prices were a bit high for what your were getting. But they were tasty nonetheless.

Wow! A great recommendation by a friend. Tapas sized portions so you can order two or three. Sadly they are closed on Mondays, today is Sunday and I’m leaving tomorrow. It’s on my list for the next trip.

From park to greet I felt a level of comfort. The attendee was polite and clear with his acceptance and writing if order. Portions are good for 2 and tasty too. The only back set was that inspite of requesting the person next to us not to smoke since we couldnt bear it and its harmfull for kids they still didnt show any humanity. But i guess there always be such people. We cannot blame Tapas for it.

Overall one of my favourite eateries in DAR. Service is attentive and waiting time are no Problems. The ambiance has a Mexican / Latin vibe. Drinks are fine and prices are good value. Having lived many years in Mexico its always a challenge to find happiness in such Restaurants outside from Latin America. That said, guacamole is fine I would add some chopped jalapeño and I enjoyed the casaba chips with them. The tostadas are some of my favourites in the restaurant but surely the base is not a crispy tortilla but taste is good. What I like from original tostadas is the freshness that the chopped lettuce gives, so that could be looked into, but again they are really tasty. All the sides are nice but always take a side salad as with the pieces of apples it refreshing and very tasty. Many other dishes are enjoyable. Some suggestions, the salsa is I would say, not homemade and is horrible a typical Pico de Gallo would be much better. Quesadillas American style with lots of cheese making them super oily is just a pain to eat, just use half of the cheese and the vegetables inside a bit sautéed before also would make this dish much better, like it is, would not order again. Some non-alcoholic typical beverages also would add to the experience, agua de horchata, agua de tamarindo or jamaica as well as a Peruvian chicha morada all easy to make and such a value. But as mentioned one of my favourite places in the Peninsula and worth going.

With 5 years experience, I can easily say, that they keep up the high level of teasty food. Great place for romantic dinner or to share a bite with friends.

Decent little Tapas Bar in the Masaki area of Dar. They have 50 choices of small tapas dishes. Each comes with a free side. The tapas are more Indian/East African fusion rather than your traditional Spanish tapas. Portion sizes are at the bigger end given its tapas. I’m used to ordering 6 or 7 tapas but here 2 or 3, if with a small group, should be sufficient enough. I thought the food was ok, it didn’t blow me away but it wasn’t bad either. If google reviews allowed half stars it would be 2.5 for me. The fish and veg was certainly better than the meat options. Decent service. Parking available outside. In no rush to come back.

An oasis of beautiful calm in noisy, dusty Dar Es Salaam! The place was immediately welcoming and chic, and the vegetarian/vegan food was fabulous in every regard... plus they made an exquisite Pili Pili sauce for us as we love chilli! The staff are super friendly and our three year old bonded really well with the head waiter Biatus who gave us top notch service! We went there a lot during our 9 day stay in Dar. The only complaint is that they had some lovely vegan options that werent available as they werent doing them any more. Highly recommend!

Veranda is always a safe bet. You have a list of delicious tapas to choose from, to make both meat eaters and vegetarians happy. The atmosphere is nice and calm, so its a great place to go with either friends or on a date. Its not the cheapest place to eat in Masaki but its worth it.

Lamb chops. They were pretty good. 4 stars because they were a bit salty..probably from the sauce and the fries were not so nice. Service is fast, staff is good. Great place to relax because of outside seating.

The food and Tapas is always great but today (17th Feb 2019) we had a different experience. The food was upto the mark but the service absolutely sluggish. Since the owners were not around no one bothered. It was just 1 or 2 table occupied and still the waiting time was long and we had to look and shout for service.

Great tapas! Very consistent. All of the tapas I have tried here have been great, but I especially love the tacos. Drinks are good as well. On the pricier side, but great for a celebratory night out.

Best Tapas restaurant in Dar Es Salaam 👌

On my first visit, it was nice to experience a quiet post-holiday midafternoon. Outdoor patio seating is pleasant. Indoor seating, Im told, is for a special event. Anyway...My sangria (pitcher, 55k) was much better than I expected, with the inclusion — I should not have been surprised, really — of passionfruit. The guac+chips was fine, and my lemon chicken tacos (4 tapas size) were smoky, spicy and delicious. The bonus sides were a mixed bag: mango rice was not the sweet treat I expected, but yummy, and the couscous salad was bright and refreshing, if a bit overly salted.The sangria outlasted the food (even in the hurricane goblet), so I ordered the banana fritters. That was a win, in my book.I focused on the Mexican side of the menu this time, and was quite happy I did. Already keen to have a go at some of the others. Looking forward to sharing Veranda with my friends, and soon.

I stumbled upon this by chance on trip advisor.Went for lunch and was not disappointed.I was craving for dim sum (momos/dumplings) for ages. And they got it right with their money bags. and my world, the green chilli they serve with is extremely mouth watering and deliciously hot.Go there and try their sumptuous tapas

We just got back from Spain and its hard to top the better (and cheaper) wine of the real deal, but it was also fun to have a tapas place in Dar. And any place with tortillas on the menu is welcome. Service was friendly, attentive, vibe was really quant, and prices werent crazy (but not cheap either at 15,000/tapas and 11-12,000/glass. Wed come a lot if it were 25% cheaper but hey, it was a good time.

One of its kind, an instant legend. I know the owners well, theyre some of the most unique and talented chefs you can find. Every dish is a gem. Cant go wrong, it really is everyones favourite spot.

Tried 6 different tapas and all were really delicious and good quality. Good vegetarian choices! Service was friendly and efficient and the place atmosphere is so pleasant. Im definitely coming back there.

Beautiful venue with a very chic setting..They have wonderful finger food with exotic flavours and a treat to the taste buds..found it a little heavy on the wallet being just finger food..Not worth if u want a full belly but definitely go for a pre-meal warm up to the senses..

Happy hour makes this place reasonably priced but still expensive for Dar. The food options seem a bit limited or maybe just a little different so I can never pick a must have to get started.
