Not much going on during the day. I had high expectations but I was very disappointed. We were a small group and our meals arrived up to 20 minutes apart!

We stop in the morning of 19/12/2021 for breakfast the waiter was selling us everything higher price than rose garden price, soda !was 1000tsh he make 1500tsh soup he stated with 8000tsh after asking if that is the price he change to 7000tsh .I find the waiter was not honest , was trying to steal from client .

The chicken makange was delicious. Quick service once you order but after that service got slower

These guys get 5 stars because they are an iconic staple in Dar es Salaam. When ever the thought of grilled mbuzi (goat meat) comes to mind. This is the place there is no doubt that there are 2 restaurants in Dar es Salaam that consistently cook delicious and juicy goat meat. (Hint: the other restaurant is in the family too 🤣)Rose garden is one the oldest restaurants in Dar and of course every business has its ebbs and flows. It currently in the midst of reestablishing itself as prime destination spot for the night life. In mean time go get your mbuzi and 🥣 supu and tell them @NessaMeetsAfrica sent u!

A nice local.restaurant in a very good location in Dar es salaam. Quite popular amongst locals and.tourists. the cuisine is very traditional, the flavours have remained very consistent over the years. A good place.to have a meal and hang out to have drinks , watch sports and either shut down or proceed to other late night activities. The natural vegetation within the place is quite refreshing, the space and.spread of the restaurant.also gives you the opportunity to either sit in a large group or sit privately in a corner of your own. But you have to always check.tour bills properly, some of the waiters (even.though polite ) could get ambitious and.inflate , double bill or miscalculate your bill. Always best to go with a local who can.speak Swahili for better clarity in communication.

A history bar in Dar es Salaam city, it has huge area with enough trees to support a conducive weather and fresh air. A well served Nyama Choma and other Northern zone region taste of dishes. It a place located in a safe zone.

I have eaten at Rose Garden restaurant quite a few times, primarily because of its location and ease of access. They serve a variety of tasty dishes. Their nyama choma is good, even better when they steam fry the roasted beef or chicken with tomatoes, chillies and veggies. They call it makange.They have prompt service and the waiters come to receive guests as they alight from their cars and lead them to tables. A nice environment. Jist be sure to double check the bill for errors like double entry.

The food is now too oily.. used to have very good local food but seems that has changed

Worse experience ever.The waiter overcharged for the drinks we never took....that is unfair.And the fimale waiters are very rude to customers.

Tasty food and cold beer. But caution western tourists, its not cheap. First of all they didnt have menus or prices listed, we just assumed it couldnt be too expensive. But the total bill after 2 cold castle lagers, 2 chicken plates and 1 ugali and 1 rice, was 49,000 TSH. About 25 USD. We were very surprised. We didnt have enough TSH to pay, we were 5000 short. However they told us to forget about it and let us go. We came back the next day and gave them 10000 TSH as an apology.So, be sure to ask the prices ahead of time, dont just assume!!

I normally take lunch at this place when am in Mikocheni area. The reception is amazing, the food pia ni poa sana. Awesome Lunch buffet. Ugali dona na roast ya utumbo, nice sana.. my choices.

A deep rip-off. I have tried this place 10 years ago and was looking forward to visit it in my vacation time again. Would not recommend it at all. Things have changed and service obviously downgraded!!
