Jackie’s is the best place to go for a hangover recovery on Sunday morning… I always get the beef tongue soup because they make it so well but the chicken soup is also so great. Love the service and the fresh juice too.

We had the best morning after New years night out with the whole family. Tried their best to accommodate 20+ people before opening time, it was fun and we enjoyed being there.

The buffet offers an easy way to get introduced to the local cuisine. They have options on it that also serve vegetarians. Its between 7000 to 10000 shillings for a plate depending on what you choose. They also have a grill havent tried that yet. Overall service is good, staff are friendly and the food is tasty

The Famous bar is still going strong after nearly 20 Years, a great buffet at lunch time and simple food in the evening with drink prices as low as you will find in Oysterbay or Masaki.

A good place to dine, and overlunch meetings. Readily accessible especially for masaki dwellers. Currently services are somewhat slow, not uncommon to miss items on menu. With a twitch here and there the place can grow back to its glory days.

Jackies is my go-to place for authentic Local dishes cravings. Everyday between 12pm to 3pm there is a buffet consisting of huge variety of local dishes. You can choose anything and add to your plate and billed anything between 9,000 to 15,000. Sometimes it gets really busy during peak hours, best try to come early. Most of their dishes are yummy with a local taste. If youre confused about what to eat, just get there and there will be something to fulfil your taste.

We went there today, as its one of the only local places nearby. We ordred and after 20 mins asked the waitress where our drinks were. We were told to go up to the counter ourselves and ask (as she sat on a stool, not serving anyone). Then all 3 of us received incorrect drinks...We had to enquire about our food after 45mins of watching people who had arrived after us receive their meal. We asked for it to be take away as we were now late for an appointment. We were one of about 4 groups who were not happy and also asking to take away. Dont eat here if you dont have a good 2 hours to spare. Slow and grumpy staff. The only reason Im giving 2 stars is for one of the waitresses who tried to help us in the end.

Very poor service. If you are hungry, this is definitely NOT the place to visit. They took more than an hour to serve food. The manager Ed was not available at the restaurant. This has happened earlier as well.You lost me as a customer, Jackies.

Great place to eat Nyama Choma (Roasted Meat). Great place for a drink after work! Local as you can get! Ensure you request some goat and or chicken. Eating local comes with the possibility for a ton of flies! Be mindful and be prepared! Food is good, flies are troublesome!

Located in oysterbay. Easily accessible. Here you get all types of alcohol drinks and soft drinks. Food is also available from 6000 per person. Parkings ate available and your car can be cleaned as you deink or eat at 3000shs only. There is almost everything around. I mean you are close to everything including escorts

A low-key typical Tanzanian bar in a high-end neighbourhood. On a Sunday morning - get the mtori and chapati for breakfast and come back at night on any day of the week for barbequed meat mishkaki, banana and a beer. The service can vary significantly but with the low-lit outdoor seating, good music in the background and a small tv showing the football match it has become a favourite of the middle class.

Good food and prompt service. Beware of the bill though. Always crosscheck what the waiter is telling you and the menu prices. Thank me later.

When You are around Masaki or Oysterbay this turns to be a good spot for varieties of Tanzanias Local soup, food and meat in the Morning & afternoon while getting to have beer at the permitted hours.
