I had a pleasant stay at the Golden Tulip with such an amazing staff who did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and were ready to fix any issues that I needed fixing. The manager Suheil did a great job of greeting and welcoming us Thank you!

Recently, we attended training there. It was a very nice place and the arrangements are also nice. The staff is very cooperative and the food was very delicious. There was a very nice sea view from the hotel rooms.

Had a great experience! Came for a swim which we did. Price for swimming is 20000tsh per person. A person who comes just to sit is charged 10000tsh. The pool is clean and has a beautiful view.Ended up at Jiko later, having amazing pizzas & drinks. And sheesha is also available. Though the service is little slow. And the pool closes at 6pm.Otherwise no complaints!

Awesome location with helpful staff and cordial hospitality.I enjoyed the food served in the breakfast and loved the windy view of the Indian Ocean.Access to the beach could have made it fabulous.Anyway, the rooms need serous attention. Surprisingly, some of the basic amenities were either missing or not functional in the room.

Great Hotel.. I was only here for The brunch event but from the looks of it seems very nice.. It is also great for functions such as weddings, birthday parties as it is so spacious and it also has bakery.. It also has a swimming pool which seems very nice..

Horrible experience. First I would like to start with my reception. I had a guest with me who had a flight in the next three hours and I was forced to pay 20USD in order for the guest to stay otherwise both of us wont be let in. I paid because I was tired and it was my first time in the area. I went into the room and it was an eye sore and here comes my second review. Why would you extort from your guest and still cant maintain your rooms. Black spots on ceiling. Leaking toilets. Dirty showers. Hotel needs a total renovation.

A very beautiful place to be. Beautiful hotel with a lovely sea view, nice ,big and beautiful swimming, the food at Jiko restaurant is also very delicious. From the moment you enter to the time you leave its a full experience.

Visited the place for a first time for a dinner in order to see if the place commendable for a friend who is about to travel and wanted to stay there. And here is what I have gathered:1. The reception was nice and we were welcomed by charming waiter who led us to the Jiko bar and grill2. They have good wines but not the best ones to say the least.3. We ordered grilled chicken and that was when everything became vice versa. First it took more than 30mins to get the meal and furthermore they brought the first meal and the second meal took another 5mins to be brought at the table. And if that is not enough, the chicken was burnt to the point that we couldnt eat it. And when we returned it to the kitchen the chef said he wanted to make it well done while he or she wasnt asked to do so. Thirdly, the fries were not fresh, they were re-fried a couple of times if not 2 times and were oily. Above all, the chicken wasnt tasty at all. The only thing that was good, were the mashed potatoes and I liked them.In conclusion, it being an exotic place and at the beach, I think more attention is needed on what kind of food is being made and how it is made.Hospitality is good, but I think the management has to make sure that they make the best out of good and quality food

Visited the place for a paint and sip brunch.Nice location by the beach. It was a but crowded but nice live and DJ music.

The location of the hotel is amazingly beautiful, the rooms are really needs lots of attention and maintenance. The prices at the restaurants are not reasonable at all and very unbelievably high. The restaurant management is way dont know how the business is run. I would advise everybody staying in the hotel to be aware of this, which was our reason to cancel the booking. Otherwise the staff are nice and willing to help.

The food was great especially those meat malls 🥰. I loved happy hour wine was AMAZING 😘

The location of the hotel is great as it on the beautiful cliff of Indian Ocean, however the hotel building and the interior from 1970s of last century and needs proper hygienic renewal of beds and mattress etc. On the walls if the hotel corridors there are great historic photos from the time of leader Neyereri which are quite intressting historic information. The swimming pool is great and sizable..the current hotel management are local Indians with huge challenge in providing fit for purpose hospitality services..

A good place for refreshment given the surrounding environment with in, having a bar for persons allowed to consume any. A restaurant that serves meals for all ages and a swimming pool for both adults and kids to enjoy... Also there are restrooms if one wishes to check in and out and just stay for pleasure purposes.....👍🏼👍🏼

The view of the ocean is very beautiful from the hotel. The rooms are decent. The location of the hotel is extremely nice. This hotel seems to be fairly priced to me. The swimming pool is very good as well. I feel that the infrastructure of the hotel should be modernised because of which Im not giving a five star rating although theres nothing blatantly wrong with this hotel.

Awful, awful WiFi. Very spotty and temperamental. As a virtual worker, high quality WiFi is required.If you are looking for a no frills, budget-friendly hotel, this is your place. This place is a little dated and could use some upgrades. We had to change rooms as a result of a plumbing issue. We were never able to get room key. The machine was broken. Nice wide area to relax by the sea. One of the best view of Dar es Salaam from the place. Food is delicious. Nice spot to bring your guests or family to relax and take on some fresh ocean breeze.

Its a nice place with a nice view if you move down to the Italian restaurant, they have lounge sofas and its nice to see the traffic on the ocean, watching a sunset and drinking a nice cocktail while enjoying the view. I tried the calemari, it was awesome.

One of the amazing hotels with sea view of Indian ocean, located in the city of dar es salaam. They have precious hospitality, good food, best service and a range of products to offer. They also host events like weddings, sendoffs, conferences just a few to mention. Reliable security and ample space for games and kids to enjoy. A better place to be.

Attended a conference here. Timely service, provided pipi kifua in between with 2 bottles of water, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. Projector set. Provided extensions to ensure laptop power supply. Provided flip charts and marker pens. Lunch had chicken, fish fillet, rice, macaroni, fruit salad, vanilla cake, vegetables, okra and a soft drink. Very good view of the restaurant. Corridors filled with pictures of Nyerere, feels like walking through a museum of a sweet history of Tanzania. Good customer care in general. Very good and strong WiFi available

I used the poolside at golden tulip and had breakfast as well. I have to say the poolside for a cover fee of 20000 tzs is absolutely worth it. The breakfast however could be a lot better for the price.

Hallway had a funny smell to it, room was ok, breakfast buffet was very limited. Overall it was OK. Unless your booking a suite a sea view room is really a partial sea view room.

Thieves! Booked via booking.com and paid the exact price (for 6 days) as indicated but they demanded more pay! Do not recommend!! Ripping off customers!!

I would give 5 stars for the location, its a sea cliff which looks wonderful but the hotel rooms are quite old. Though one part of the hotel is under renovation and should be functional soon but at time I stayed, it was an old portion.Very good Breakfast (both quality & variety) & even good options for Vegetarians too.Sitting on the pool side is really a wonderful experience.Staff is also good and professional.@Ravi (restaurant manager) thought you promised to get my breakfast packed since I had a early morning flight and you even noted down my order (ommle & toast) but your staff only handed over some cut fruits to me. This could have been better.Rest excellent place to stay.

This is a wonderful place for all types of holidays . Family or couples due to the location and facilities available. The restaurant open very early and the poll side bar open up to 6 pm. The restaurant close to the ocean is a good place to sit. Food is good and the fruit juice are tasty and fresh. Hot bath and aircondition works powerfully .

Beautiful high end hotel right next to the beach with a view to to die for. The hotel has awesome instagramable spots.WIFI was available but not that reliable. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are also great but I was not really impressed by their wine selection. Is a really great location for hosting a party.

Just went for a swim n there was hardly anyone at the pool. The pool was well maintained. Spent a wonderful afternoon. The view of the Indian Ocean is fabulous. The hotel is located at the edge of a rock hence does not have its own beach.

I live near here and used to love this place for swimming but after today Im not sure if I can go back. The pool was extremely dirty. We ordered a pizza, the wind blew away half before it reached our table and we had to pay full price. International-quality service? Hardly

I had been there before when it was new.. now the standard doesnt seem to be the same. We normally go to use the pool they charge tzs 20,000 each adult. But this time the pool wasnt as good as it used to be ..it was slimy and you can easily slip plus the wall of the pool too wasnt clean it showed algae. The food by the pool side is too expensive except for the pizza menu. However saying all that the view is still spectacular and breathtaking ... the merging view of the pool and sea at an angle is still wonderfull.

The drinks are a bit too pricy, especially the non alcoholic drinks. I personally think 4000 Tsh for a soda too much. Non-alcoholic drinks are served at the pool in a plastic cup, for me this is a no go. The cups keep flying around when they are empty. Causes trash and for 4000 Tsh I can expect a glass, even if it may break.The location and the view is just amazing. Overlooking Coco beach and Ocean View. For that I would give them 4 stars.The pool is very nice especially the kids pool. Itis combined with the big pool but there is a barrier in the water (A wall below water level of the pool). So the kids are separated but still close by. For that they get 4 stars as well.Everything is not thought well through. No showers directly at the pool, so a lot of people do not shower before swimming. To use the toilet and shower from the pool you have to use stairs. In most cases the people are wet so it is very slippery and dangerous. So careful with kids. For customers of the restaurant the toilets appear wet. I personally find it very inconvenient that the toilets are at the restaurant only.

Nice pool that is open for anyone to visit, you just pay a day pass in the gym.The pool is big and have a great view of the city. The service could be better but the pizza is good.

This hotel need renovations. Umbrella broke just 3 umbrellas for the pool. Crazy price my daughter wanted to swimming at 5.45pm pool closed at 6pm. Reception wanted I pay 20 000 shillings for 10 minutes I deal for 10 000. The pool staff were so kindly and helpful

Was at Golden Tulip Oysterbay Tanzania with colleagues of mine from 3 - 12 Aug 18. Reception was nice, ambience good and mmm, great view. Over looking the Indian Ocean with great view and good outdoor sitting area. I could feel the water splash from the ocean. Rooms are nice overlooking the Indian Ocean, meals equally good and a good night life. To cap it all up? A lovely swimming pool sitting just a d edge of the Indian Ocean. Thought it was initially expensive for its fare but had a change of mind. Nice and exquisite place to be.

This is a lovely hotel with a well maintained pool and good rooms. its not as popular as it used to be which could be q good thing or a bad thing depending on what you’re looking for. Theres a newly opened restaurant and bar in the area called Jiko which has a nice view and ambience to it however the cocktails are rather overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. Its also a great spot for big events/crowds such as weddings and festivals. This is where the holi festival of colors usually takes place. All in all its worth going to a drink or two at the place.

Jiko in Golden Tulip is set up in the most beautiful location in Dar es Salaam.A very relaxed, service oriented ,pizza venue.Pizzas are crispy, with good choice of toppings. Accompanied sauces add bite to the pizzas to your taste.Beautiful sea views. With full moon, it is extra beautiful.

Golden Talip was such a great experience for me as it was my first trip in Tanzania and East Africa region as a whole...i mean the ocean view is priceless and the pool at this hotel...is such a great relaxing spot that screams happy holidays mood...the food in this hotel is soo good and favourful with that indain touch that i soo enjoy, please ask for the chicken curry or catch of the day...and thank me later. It is quite humid in dar es salaam but the air conditioners help a lot. Wifi works well on the phone but it can be not so great especially if you doing laptop work and require that strong connection..hotel can invest more that area. Im definitely coming back to Tanzania and will make Golden Talip my hotel of choice...
