Excellent location at 10 mins walk from Zanzibar ferry, room with air conditioning and fan, very reasonably priced. We had forgotten a bag full of valuables in our taxi, who then unknowingly drove off. The managers were kind enough to help us call the airport taxi company (we had only the taxi drivers name to go on) and eventually helped us locate the bag! Thank you so much!

For the price point, this is a very basic accommodation option in the centre of Dar es Salaam. It is easy walking distance to the ferry terminal and the beach as well as all of the city centre attractions. Rooms are small and simple but fine for a night - it is very quiet at night. The thing that stood out for us however was the service - very welcoming, helpful and flexible, including letting us leave our baggage for a week whilst taking a trip to Zanzibar and even shower and freshen up on our return before heading to the airport. Plenty of tips for the neighbourhood and generally very friendly. Bearing in mind the pricing compared to other nearby options I was very satisfied with Safari Inn and would recommend to any budget travellers.

Beds are clean and comfortable in a spacious and hot room with enough ventilation and fan. Toilets are comfortable as you dont need hot shower though it was working. Wifi is available only at the reception and limited breakfast is simple and good. Location is in a silent area though passage appears to be like a country side and prices are starting from 35000 shillings which is little expensive. Reasonable price for the laundry service.

Wifi works only on ground floor you wont get it in your rooms I’d recommend this place only if you want to just spend a night in dar es salaam i came from zanzibar and next day i had a early morning bus to moshi but if you’re looking to stay for bit long i wont suggest

Best budget hotel in Dar E Salaam. For those who arent looking to spend a Fortune on Accommodation and still have some sound sleep and a good breakfast. Location is good. WiFi available at the reception only, and nice restaurants around the Hotel.PS: go for the rooms with AC!! It can get really stuffy and Hot in the rooms. Probably because the Hotel is surrounded by Buildings.If you are looking for 3-4 star accommodation, then this is not your Hotel of choice! But if you are into having fun outside and just need a cozy place to stay for the night then yes definitely opt for Safari Inn!

We stayed over one night because we arrived late and wanted to be near the ferry for the next morning’s first departure. It is very basic but the staff are incredibly helpful. They organised a taxi for us at 5am and helped us to find places to have dinner and beers. Its not fancy but it is the best price with great service near the ferry.

Old buildings,Old stuffs,sometime they have to turn on a/c poor custamer care except one on the front desk,ive called them before coming and they gave the price once arrived they changed the price and havnt an answe.The hotel is near ferry u can walk or call bolt taxes jus 5 minutes

Comfortable enough but very average. Contact staff are rude and indifferent. I wasn’t told that breakfast was included so missed out. Not great value for money. If you need a beer head to protein bar down the road. There are a couple of large supermarkets within walking distance and the fruit/veg market is about 100m awayThe vicinity doesn’t feel safe after dark

Very nice place to stay. Comfortable bed accomodation and friendly personal.Clean rooms with hot water and even air conditioning.The breakfast could have been a little bit more abundant, but in the end for the price ist quite fair.

The staff is OK. Very helpful people. The breakfast staff is friendly. In some of the rooms are very very warm. Clean rooms and bathrooms. The area looks dangerous but its safety, during the night or the day. The wifi is only on the reception. Some time are very slow working on the reception.

This is an excellent budget accommodation option in the heart of Dar. Dont expect any frills on the room. The fan works and theres hot water for showers. But its safe and centrally located with an easy 10 min walk to the Zanzibar ferry. Safari Inn is a good choice for those who are just looking to crash for a night as they are passing through.

Friendly staff. Rooms are Abit tiny, but the staffs hospitality compensate for Tiny rooms. Good location in town. Ideal option for travelers in a budget. They however need to work on their bathrooms!

Cheap and we had everything we needed. My only critique is that they have WiFi available in the rooms as well (rather than just in the lobby).

Nice place for a transit stay while traveling Zanzibar-Dar routes. Its close to the Ferry and easy access to transport, ATMs, and good food. The only down side is the price which keeps increasing without improvement of service. All in all, an okay place.

I have been staying here sense the 90s when I am in Dar. It is nice and really good for the price range. Clean, safe but no luxury. Really good laundery service and cheap.Dont exepct it to be super service from a hotell that cost 20 usd but it is totally good enough. Stay here if you have a day or two in Dar and want to experience Dar or if you stay longer and work this is also a good place. If you want more standard with tv and a really god hotelroom then there are better options but They cost around 60 usd and up.I love it for the staff is the same allways and they feel like family

Place is a good value for your money. Location is good as it is near the center and near a bus stop. However, there are lots of potentially shady characters in the vicinity. Do not walk around late at night.

Its quite basic. There was a plug that had the wire casing removed. Its very central and would recommend for some one who wants to sleep not in the roadway.

Its a Good place but the Internet wifi is only in the 1st floor and the room have air con, but is broken, and the weather in Dar es Salam is very Hot.

OK service, prices are one of the lowest in the city. Theres a dedicated staff24/7 at front desk and food isnt far away.
