We were real happy with our stay. They arranged our taxis to and from the airport with no problems, our room was spacious with powerful air conditioning and a nice view on the 4th floor. They took care of our bags and valuables while we were out, and breakfast was included. The water pressure in the shower was a little low, and the breakfast was a bit sparse, but no big deal. I think theyre a pretty great place for a tourist to feel welcomed.

Incompetent management and dishonest staff.The aircon in our room was broken and when we asked for it to be repaired we returned in the afternoon to discover that the hotel staff had (without our knowledge or permission) packed up our possessions and moved them to another room. They claimed they could not fix the air on and rather than ask us took the liberty to change our rooms pre-emptively.We were unhappy but let it go, my friends toiletries had been left in the other bathroom; when she requested to get them they said they would do it but did not return.We were suspicious of the circumstance of their moving because our previous room was better and had a balcony but the new one did not. She went and knocked at the former room to find that a new couple was occupying the room, which they asked for at front desk.It became clear that they moved us because this new couple was willing to pay more for a room with a balcony that was on a high floor.The breakfast is mediocre at best and drinks are overpriced so youre better off buying literally outside the hotel as opposed to the bar, its half the price.After we checked out we waited for a taxi in the evening. While we searched for a friend the security guard picked earphones out of a bag by the patio-bar, which was caught by a distant camera. The manager refused any assistance when we realised that the item was missing. It took him 2 full days just to allow us or anybody to even view the camera; when we also asked for co-operation and to go to the police to report the missing item, he specifically delayed, stalled us and gave misleading information to the police about the nature of the missing item. Including not even assisting us to make a local phone call; it took 2 days just to get to view footage and put in a case. He wouldnt even bring a key to let us view the camera and ignored us while he was at work after we asked all the hotel staff to see the manager and he himself feigned ignorance.I have never seen more incompetent Stafford management and I have travelled the world.The staff here have a real language barrier from Swahili and even basic communication is really difficult. They market it as being a good quality hotel, but its not.Another member of our group had money stolen out of his room in the middle of the night, he chased the guy out the room but the management didnt even see anything on any cameras as the guy was leaving the hotel.The front desk staff fall asleep at night making it impossible to get into the hotel and several people in another group found themselves locked out for over 20 minutes while the receptionist slept behind the desk.Just incompetent, unhelpful people in a lethargic fashion that transcends mere language and cultural barriers.Service is friendly but basic for Dar Es Salaam and stagg were unprofessional with how they treated female and trans individuals in our group.

Great experience, stayed in the hotel for two month, loved the friendly staff, the service and environment.
