We visited from UK and my son got ill. Dr Insia the paediatrician was extremely knowledgeable and fixed the issue right away. The staff in the emergency department and all the health workers who assisted us, Asante sana! It was so lovely to see such high standards of healthcare in Tanzania! We’ve recommended Dr Insia to all our friends and family!!

I would like to thank Dr. Nikhil, Dr. Yusuf and their team for all the intensive, medical support and care they gave our grandma during her treatment of 1 week when she was in the ICU. They were very professional in their work and most importantly they never gave up at even the worst of the moments even when we the family lost hope. To be honest, Doctors you have changed our lives after your extensive care and support for our Grandma. God bless you!

This is one of the most cleanest hospitals i ever seen in Tanzania. It is literally like a 5 star hotel. Their staffs are kind and very handy to help and makesure you are well taken care of. I recently brought my mum for dialysis there alongside my sisters and we were very pleased with the service. Their dialysis unit is very clean, tidy and their nephrologist is one of a kind. She explains things so well and very professional. Their unit is very well equipped and the nurses there are so smart as well. Me and my family are very much pleased and surely we are happy that our mum is in good hands. By the way they offer snacks and soft meals for their dialysis patients and this is very unique here in dar es salaam. Thank you Saifee for bringing this lovely care to our kidney patients, we feel like we are abroad with the care we are receiving. I will recommend everyone to come for treatment at saifee.👏🏽👏🏽

VERY DISAPPOINTED,First visit and definitely the last one. I went in at around 4;50pm was very well received, I paid and was taken upstairs to see the doctor. I was told to go to room 5, I went in and found the doctor was getting ready to leave and she asked me if I had gone to see her, I did not know who she was so I told her I went to see the doctor who was on duty. She asked me to wait outside and another Dr. was coming to see me.I waited outside for an hour and realized that the lights in the said room were now off and the door was locked. I asked one of the many staff around triage and they just said anakuja. After some minutes one of the (nurses/porter) came and informed me that all the doctors had left and the only alternative was she takes me downstairs to see the one in emergency. I agreed and followed her downstairs, she then left me on the waiting benches outside saying that she was busy doing something and she would see me when she had a chance. After a couple of minutes an ambulance pulled up and it was only obvious that the doctor now had an actual emergency and I would be there for God knows how much longer.I lost my patience and decided to seek someone senior to just explain my experience but I was told even the senior staff had gone home and there was no one in charge!I find it very hard to believe that such an establishment would operate without someone senior at any given time.I came to seek medical assistance in your establishment and I had very high expectations but sadly I left almost two hours later without any doctor seeing me and no help whatsoever. The service I experienced was beyond disappointing!

Very disappointing.Receptionist all are very rude and they dont understand or know anything other than making bill and taking money. Even if you want to meet a doctor for showing the report or discuss about any report you need to pay doctor visit which a rediculas policy of this hospital. Only plus point I keep visiting this place because of the two best doctors( Dr. Hussain - cardiologist and surgeon) and Dr. MURTAZA. I love their patients handling, understanding and treatment with care. If they leave this hospital I may not going to visit this hospital for any other reason.Edited : After my last review their head of Lab talked to me and after seeing the evidence of some wrong report admitted that the report was prepared manually that time and more care should be taken before handover any wrong report and the system. Anyway the system been changed and most of the report now coming directly from the machine and double checked before delivery to the patients. All their machines are brand new and highly accurate so chance of wrong doing is very minimal. I wish all the best and going to visit the facility as and when need but I will keep an eyes on their front desk stuffs before I change my mind about them. However today Im going to have a CT Angiography under Dr. Hussain Hassanali s close observation. Thanks.

This hospital showed the poorest standard of care conceivable. On 06/08/2021 we were well welcomed at emergency department in Saifee hospital. Our relative then was admitted to isolation ICU where he developed signs of infection after couple of days being inpatient. Temperature 40 and heart rate 170. The nurse was giving paracetamol to mask the temperature: there was no medical attention to diagnose the source of infection. I had to ask the nurse to seek a doctors advice, I even had to question why the patient was left with high temperatures and heart rate for a while without blood and urine test being taken: patient was having urinary catheter and central line in situ; all of these can be the source of infection. Nursing care was very poor given that the vast majority of nurses appeared to be incompetent not knowing the signs of deterioration and how to act at that time to prevent further damage. I was left shocked when observing the doctor neglecting the raised heart rate of 170. This means that the doctor didnt think of prescribing medication to lower the heart rate. The medication was prescribed when I asked for it. The family lost trust when we knew our relative missed several doses of anticoagulant injection. Blood thinning injection was then stopped for couple of days. Consequently, Deep Vein Thrombosis developed. The isolation ICU of this hospital was seen to be like a dumping area for covid patients. This patient was given too much of Lorazepam that made him so drowsy. As a result he couldnt even be alert to be able to eat and drink. Whenever we asked for further intervention in terms of treatment, we were told that any infection or other problems arises are due to covid and for this reason we were warned to expect the worse scenarios even death. On 18/08/2021 We decided to move our patient to Agakhan hospital when we found our patient was unconscious in Saifee hospital. In Agakhan hospital,Our patient was given all the options of treatment available that Saifee hospital had not introduced.High dose of blood thinning injection was given in Agakhan hospital after the doppler ultrasound test result. Furthermore, medication was given to the patient to help with breathing. Further tests and investigations were offered to screen any suspected problems due the symptoms. Our patient became alert after the emergency treatment in Agakhan hospital. As a result we were reassured that our beloved brother was in safe hands. He continued to get better day after day. Eventually he was medically stable to be discharged home.I WOULDNT RECOMEND SAIFEE HOSPITAL AS A SAFE HOSPITAL. WE WITNESSED SEVERAL DEATHS RIGHT NEXT TO US DUE TO NEGLECT. IF WE HADNT HAVE MOVED OUR RELATIVE WOULD HAVE DIED WITHOUT A DOUBT.

We can wait up to 4 hours for the doctor. It is when we are there that the doctor is called from home to come and consult you, except it is a good hospital and the reception is good.there is no enough doctors while such a big hospital needs enough doctors , especially sundays you have to wait for the doctor beacuse he has to be at differnet places so you wait until he come back to you,On peut attendre le docteur jusquà 4h de temps. Cest le moment quon est sur place que le docteur est appelé de chez lui pour venir te consulter à part ça cest une bonne hôpital et laccueil est bien.

Great service. Highly recommended for COVID test. Hassle free process, reasonably priced and no queues.TIPS:👉 carry your passport👉 Saifee hospital fees is 70,000Just register on MOH website, select Saifee hospital. Once at Saifee, you will be directed to COVID test center. Theyll ask about your travel plans and advise accordingly. Pay for the test facilitation fees and get samples taken. They charge 70,000 as facilitation fees, much better than other hospitals. You must carry your passport when going for the COVID test.

I was there today, receptionist is very slow, she attends 1 patient for more than 30 minutes, Leaving patients moving around waiting for her service. I recommend you add attendants there so that patients dont stay longer at the reception just waiting to be registered.Otherwise, everything is perfect, Hospital is clean, Dr. Colman attends and listens to the patients very well. Other attendants are okay.

On my first visit I fell in love with the front service from the attendance. I would like to point out that I am private pay patient with no insurance. The fist visit I was taken to the doctors room, the doctor ordered blood work and test of almost 1million Tanzania shilling. I was desperate to know what was going on and it turned out nothing was wrong. I noticed the doctor had ordered a lot of unnecessary tests to be done but because I wanted to trust in the care I proceeded forward and paid.Today was my second visit. Symptoms sinus drainage, fatigue, body ache, sore throat. My symptoms are very specific. I was taken to the doctors room and was informed that it appears I have a virus infection, no tests done, no checks, no nothing. The doctor didnt even touch me. Then he tells me I need full blood picture, urinalysis, and all types or test to be done that were completely unrelated to my symptoms. I then lost my patients and demanded answers as to why the doctor is ordering such test done. He started explaining to me the female anatomy which I quickly informed him that I am very much aware of the anatomy as I am in the medical field as well. I ended up walking away and refusing care. The doctor insisted he calls another doctor to provide me with the care. at that point I had already lost trust and faith in their health systems. What I want to know is why are these medical providers capitalizing on the vulnerable patients. It is Very unethical. It is not ok to order all kinds of test that are unnecessary to the patients care in order for the hospital make money.I would like to insist on everyone to please be mindful of the tests the doctors order, ask a lot of questions and demand answers, research and educate yourself please, Google while the doctor is taking to you I need be. Take control of your health. Knowledge is power and you should have some understanding of how your body functions. Dont fall to be the victim of this health system. Ask questions!Sadly I will not be returning to safee. And truly I am sad because I had very high expectations from safee and I feel like they let me down. 😥

A few words about our experience with Dr. Magdalina (Dermatologist) - She took real good care about patiently listening to the problem, examine it and prescribe the right medication. It did wonders. Both the issues I had gone to hospital with are almost cured. Thanks to her.Apart from her, would like to thank the front office to make the whole process so smooth and quick. It was really well organised.A special thanks to Mrs. Shabniz, for assisting us in setting up the appointments and coordinating the entire time we were there in the hospital. Thank you 😊.Kudos to the team at Seifee..!!

The service is extremely poor we had done a covid test on Thursday for travelling on sunday and the results were expected on Saturday. We kept checking on the website and our email for the results but there was none finally has to make several calls and the receptionist kept giving false info with various reasons finally she gave us a number of a person at the national lab on calling her she told us that she is off and not at work and said that we are not the first to complain as majority of people who had done the test through seifi had same issue. We called the hospital again and asked to speak to someone from the management for assistance just to be told no one is available.its ridiculous such a big hospital and a lousy service.
