Highly recommend for tourists and locals alike. I had the chicken coco and long rice (multi colored- I dont know what it is called!). Also had a really delicious smoothie. Not sure what its called but it was orange and had seeds in it. My husband had beef (he said it tasted like swiss steak) and the same rice as me. Proportions were huge. $11 USD for a very good meal!

5/5, I Had the Chicken Shawarma and my dad and uncle had the King fish with some fries and they were very delicious. Original arabic taste and not the ones with fries, chicken, ketchup and salad. This one has the original taste and is cooked by a Syrian man who is very nice and attentive. Recommend this place for lunch.

One of the best local meals I have enjoyed during my eight trips to Tanzania. Very popular among locals so be ready to wait for a table little while. But its worth it. I recommend t-bone stake and lemon chicken. Yummy!!

Along all the national parks and heritage sites, this restaurant should be on the to do list of every visitors to TZ.....the food taste is on an other level, you need to experience the place to understand what I am talking about. I mean the first time I was there was in 1998...23 years later the food still AMAZING

The food and the location are both really good. I would recommend it to someone who already knows the prices as they dont have a published/printed price list. My shrimp rice I bought for takeaway contained more shrimp shells than actual shrimps. So it seems you have to watch what they put in your takeaway box. Otherwise the food tastes good

This place is hugely popular with a well-fed class of Tanzanian men-folk. The selection, quality, quantity and price are all good. It is probably best in class for Swahili food in town. Its best to order from the menu and agree on the final price when ordering, as some of the staff might be tempted to add a little something for themselves to your bill.

The place is big, it looks good, but when we visited it, the menü was not really relevant, because you could only choose what they had left at the cantine. The waiter was nice, although he could not really speak English and misunderstood a couple of things from our order.

The ambience of these restaurant is great, they have great outdoor seating, and some more seats upstairs. The wait staff are polite and very friendly. They have an assortment of food from all kinds of juicy steak, seafood, vegetables. They have a meal that contains all these different types of meat. Prices of the different meals are also fairly priced.

Worst restaurant if you are Hindu or any other religions if you dont eat beef. Because they dont bother to serve you anything other than what you have ordered. Moreover there is no point in complaining to manager as for him its nothing just any casual affair. I had a very bad experience as I ordered fish grill but got beef pieces in salad. At least they have lost a customerGod bless them

It was very crowded when we visited (on a Monday around 2pm) therefore we had to wait for our orders for half an hour. On the menu they have mainly Indian food and we ordered skewed barbecue chicken. It was at a reasonable price and somehow okay quite spicy-hot though. The stuff wasnt necessarily friendly though... After all it is a convenient option in the city center.

Loved this restaurant. Atmosphere is new and exciting, but also homey and comforting. The door frames are especially eye catching, due to the fluorescent bulbs, which outline each door frame. I think this adds a romantic, yet edgy vibe to this amazing restaurant. The manager, a close personal friend of mine, was helpful and has assured me that, despite my experiences, none of the food contains human toenails. I immensely enjoyed my time at this wonderful establishment and hope to visit again soon.

For me, this was the best way to experience local Tanzanian fare. Get there early (by around 12 noon), to ensure you get seating. Most of the food is behind a glass counter, so just point at what you want. The staff is very helpful & they will gladly explain what each dish is about. Just make sure you are hungry when you get there, cause Im sure you will wanna try everything on display. And dont forget to try out their spicy chilli sauces, if you can stomach the heat!

Even we only ate in one place in Dar Es Salaam and we believe it was a great choice. Fast service and tasty food, big choices - you can usually see all the food in the buffet style setting. We picked marinated chicken skewers and that was grilled ASAP and brought to our table with fresh salad garnish, tamarind and chilli sauces. Fresh juice was just what we needed afterwards.
