Best food @affordable price
Very quick service. Nice array of foods
Nice and test Biryan and Pilau meals in this restaurant.
Good food. Limited vegetarian menu. Fresh fruit juice available. Food moreover suitable for Tanzania. Service is 50/50.
Perfect place to have your good meal. From morning to noon😋😋😋
DISAPPOINTED!I had a high expectations on Biryan! I was super hungry and was expecting something nice. Unfortunately I ended up disappointed. I ordered Biryan it was not warm, the sauce taste was over taken by too much lemon. So if you are looking forward to have your Biryan anytime soon just lower your expectations to be safe.
Try the vegetable spring roll for 1500.The Chapati is also excellent for only 1000. There were a few small cockroaches here and there. The food was excellent considering the very low prices.
Great place for Arabic food. A great place for groups as well. I would highly recommend their shawarma 🥙 plate as its just amazing and filling. They have friendly waiters who are sharp and ready to help
Offers local dishes at affordable prices. Located along the mosque street, it is well known for chapati and grilled chicken where takeaway customers literally storm to place and collect their orders. It is quite an old tea joint - more than 50 years
Their food is very delicious... But restaurant need some updates print new menu as the original one are old and dirty also they need to clean the place after customer leave the table
Unbeknownst to most of it’s visitors - this restaurant is a historical landmark. In the 60s it was frequented by revolutionaries like Che Guevara and Malcolm X. Right in the middle of Dar es Salaam’s city center, stop by and grab some of their famous fresh chapati’s at the street-facing (dedicated) stand or step into the humble outfit during lunch for an affordable working person’s meal: “ugali” or rice with meat or chicken.
The restaurant in hard to find unless you are pretty familiar with the streets around it. I almost always locate it with the help of Google Maps. It is crammed with customers and very often feels hot. They serve Swahili and Afroinidian food; their biriyani is definitely one of their best options in the menu and is popular among diners on Friday and on special occassions so if you want to have a taste of it go before the Friday prayers end.
Great selection of local East African coastal cuisine; from pilau to biriyani as well as your typical ugali and ndizi dishes. This arguably one of the busiest lunchtime spots in the downtown area of Dar es Salaam. The decor is simple and the service is exuberant without being personal or friendly. I prefer to get take out when I go there. The dining area could use some sprucing up.
Service wasnt up to standard. No menu given. You had to know what you wanted to eat and hope youThey do it. It really needs to improve its customer care. No cutlery or tissues were given. Very poor. Very disappointed. Will definitely NOT go there again.
Serves a variety of local foods and has good white floor Chapati. Keep in mind they do not serve food during the month of Ramadhan.
