NOT WORTH THE HYPE ANYMORE.I used to recommend this company to anyone who wanted the best experience during their long journeys but the quality of buses and services has degraded so much that I can only travel with them if there are no better alternatives.Issues:- Poor time management- Ticket shows departure as 6AM but the bus departs 15 minutes earlier.- Seats are not well cleaned most of the time- Frequent mechanical issues on-transit!!! SOMETIMES YOU MAY WAIT FOR 4+ HOURS BEFORE YOU DEPART IF THE BUS GOT TO DAR VERY LATE AND ITS SUPPOSED TO RETURN (especially during holiday seasons).***Anyone who wishes to use this company, please try to research and confirm that the services have improved because for the amount of money one pays, the quality of services and buses should at least match if not exceed ones expectations.

Good service in dar es salaam especially there was a nice waiting room and the manager Mr Ali is the most wonderful human we met during our stay, tell him I said hi when you see him, we are sending our love from Kenya, Angola and Congo he helped us so much when we were stranded

Very good place to drop or pick a passenger traveling or coming from upcountry. Its offices are impressive with good customer service. I picked my daughter late in the night with out hesitation as the place is safe and secured. My only snag was the entry and exit from the station is a little too tight however I still would recommend the bus station.

Awesome buses. I would give 5 starts but they travel at a more luxurious speed than the other companies so if you want to get there a bit early deffinately not the one to go for. Otherwise they are by far the best in customer care. They also have a VIP class which is awesome and toilets although sometimes they dont work. Good company in general

Seats were fine, but every couple of minutes (including through the night on a 20 hour journey) a really loud alarm would go off, making it impossible to get any sleep. Apparently it is the speed alarm, which means the driver was also going over the limit most of the journey (also unsafely overtaking vehicles - we often looked up to see vehicles flashing lights at the coach as the driver was overtaking dangerously). They said they couldnt do anything about the noise. Definitely not a luxury service - you can sleep better on a local bus.

Reception was okay. Customer care service especially from a bus conductor was very bad. Seems like its good to have your ticket when you already saw a bus. They give the bad seats to those who get their tickets online.

It is ok, but charging system for DarLux is not ok. For Tanzanite everything is excellent, I used it from Dar to Mwanza

Highly organized with good customer service. You can book a seat online and pay through mpesa within 3 hours of booking. They have a somewhat better cancelation policy where no refunds are available but a traveler is free to use the ticket within 3 months of purchasing a ticket.

Booked an online ticket, from Dar to Mbeya ticket confirmation says departure time is 6AM but the bus left 5:45. Which for a bus, they should stick with time. Lots of Uncertainties with departure time. For a bus which has gone to extreme of online booking should atleast be professional, quality matters. Not forgeting the sterio volume is always very loud, with that music you can not even relax, read a book or sleep. Poor service rather use local bus, not recommending the bus at all.

They need to improve their car services (repair and checking before starting journey) due to many failure during the trip apart from those mistakes they have good customer service

Little space between chairs, very short lunch break, we were served warm sodas... comparing with the price of TSH.40,000 the service is poor. I dont think Ill use the bus again.

Recommended by a friend, but not satisfied at all, paid Tshs. 50,000 for VIP class am travelling from ARUSHA to DSM, nothing is VIP here except for the seats. Poor customer care, buspad not working, tv not working nothing...so boring trip ever.. am on my way to DSM now...and thinking about the money I wasted. Please! Improve your services especially for VIP class...ze word VIP should be considered.

I appreciate everything about the services provided by Dar lux company and i have been enjoying most of my journey from dar to mwanza mwanza to Dar so many times but one thing i feel bad upon them is that There are some drivers do approach/con some customers wives, as one of them happened once when my wife was traveling from Dar to Mwanza when the driver wanted to go and sleep with my wife while telling her that she has to tell me that they are sleeping in shinyanga i really felt bad for that but all in all the rest stuffs from Dar lux are excellent

I like riding this bus line to Mafinga (it is actually the Mbeya bus.)The best part is that you candling the Ubungo bus stand experience as the terminal is outside of the Ubungo bus stand!Like with any bus line in Tanzania I have waited at the terminal up to 8 hours because the bus broken down.

Ive had some customer service related issues thus far with a refund issue; however, it has since been resolved. I am now attempting to rebook my ticket so I will update again once the journey from Dar es salaam to Nairobi is over :)!
