During the months of Aug. and Sep.2021 we squeezed in a 21 day trip of a life time. B2C filled our African expectations beyond our imagination. Their hospitality and knowledge allowed total relaxation , and filled every day with exciting pictures and memories which will never be forgotten.Thank you Bush 2 City Adventures!
In October 2021 we completed our third safari with Bush 2 City Adventure, this time spending 15 days in Kenya. We visited Nairobi and Nairobi NP, Amboseli, Lakes Elementeita and Nakuru, and the Maasai Mara with 3 nights in the park and 3 nights in the Mara Triangle. We were originally scheduled to travel June 2020, but Covid obviously delayed the trip. Jackson was great helping us reschedule and adjust camps and dates as Covid and unreliable flight schedules continued to reek havoc with our plans. Everything went smoothly on arrival in Kenya. Jackson even met us at the airport, and with a local driver, transported us to our first hotel. All of our accommodations were superb, and our guide Antony was phenomenal - knowledgeable, keen eyes, very professional and truly interested in conservation. Antony even arranged for us to meet Dr. Elena Chelysheva of the Mara-Meru Cheetah Project at a nearby camp while we were in the Mara! We met Mama Duma!! After the safari we returned to Nairobi for one night to relax and see a little of the city, shop, get our Covid test for departure, and try some local food before we flew back to the US. An incredible 2 weeks!! Thank you again B2C!! Hope to see you in Tanzania Aug/Sept 2022!
We enjoyed extraordinary personal attention and service from first to post- trip contacts. For a few years my wife and I and a couple with whom we have made several trips had talked of a Tanzania Great Migration Safari. Our overall planning concluded that we did not care for a group travel model, but wanted a specialized private trip for the four of us that would include classic safari vehicle travel (rather than air travel from lodge to lodge) and high-end tent camps with a couple of lodge stays. Research on sites such as tripadvisor led to a smaller company with excellent reviews called Bush2City Adventures.Jackson Solomon quickly responded to our initial inquiry with extensive information about his company and services, and a range of choices to help narrow our specific desires as to appropriate locations, level and offerings of lodging services, what animals were of most interest, travel times from one area to another, and pace of our game drives. He was patient and provided experienced advice to guide our selections, down to discussion of the attributes we sought in the guide with whom we would spend the ten days out in the bush. He also provided specific pricing on each option. We travelled with Ally, whom we came to value both as a person and a professional with keen eyesight and deep knowledge of every type of animal and its habits in the wild. He cared for us in all ways to make us comfortable and our experience rich. The route had been charted by Jackson to cover the two areas where animals would be found in numbers, based on the variable of where feed was growing dependent on rains, which resulted in a perfect match with our desire for Great Migration herds and the animals birthing season. Babies of all types abounded and gave us photo opportunities one could only hope for. The tent camps were outstanding, with furniture and indoor plumbing providing great comfort, and beautiful permanent lounge and dining facilities to enjoy views, drinks, and dinners. The staff we encountered were invariably personable and welcoming, with an obvious focus on putting smiles on our faces and attending to all of our needs.Ally, without prediction or pretension, delighted us with close encounters with scores of animals from the smallest birds and insects to the largest elephants and hungry Nile crocodiles. We scored multiple checks on encounters with The Big Five. From watching a lioness stalk, wait still in the grass, and launch her lightening attack on a family of zebra walking by, to a huge bull elephant push down a tree, our memories of each day are filled with unique and unforgettable scenes of the real Africa.Following our return home after another four weeks of travels elsewhere, one of our first contacts was from Jackson looking to make sure we were happy with his companys services and our trip. We continue, also, to exchange the occasional social greeting with Ally, with whom we continue a fond friendship. Jackson and his small staff are very special people!
We spent over two weeks with Bush2City. They went to our hotel in Nairobi where our safari began with a road trip on the Kenyan countryside along the great Rift valley on our way to Lake Naivasha. From there on to Lake Nakuru NP (to a lovely lodge), then to Maasai Mara (to a wonderful lodge), followed by a stay at a migration camp in the northern Serengeti in Tanzania and a subsequent one at another camp in the central Serengeti. From there onto the Ngorongoro crater (to very nice lodge), then on to a night in Arusha followed by a stay at a lovely lodge just outside Tarangire NP, on to Lake Manyara NP and finally to Ausha NP ending the experience with two nights in Arusha. Our Kenyan Guide-Driver James was excellent, spotted the big 5 for us in a short time and was able to get us first class seats at the wildebeest river crossing in Maasai Mara. Not to be outdone our Tanzanian Guide driver Danford treated us to the big 5 too as well as a different river crossing of the wildebeest. Both were able to show us lion hunts or kills in action, or recent ones with the other participants in the food chain (hyenas, jackals, vultures, etc). What day was better? What experience was more memorable? Impossible to say. Every day was very special, with drama, beauty, tenderness, strong emotions, sadness, anxiety and the realization of the complexities of life and survival. The entire team at bush2city were professional, polite, knowledgeable, respectful of time and individual needs and desires and worked hard to make us feel comfortable, safe and ensured we enjoyed our experience. I highly recommend this small company that is always striving to improve and make your experience a bit more unforgettable. To the B2C team: James, Danford, Peter, Jackson and Ismail, Asante sana. Natumaini tunaweza kukutana tena hivi karibuni.Carlos.
Amazing!I had an excellent experience with Bush 2 City. They are a local, Tanzanian owned and operated company (which is very important, as many safari operators are not Tanzanian, which means your money does not benefit local communities). They were extremely responsive to my scheduling challenges and request for cultural tours. Well organized, professional, and great value for money. The owner personally followed up before and after the safari to make sure everything went well - which means a lot. A great experience, I would recommend them without hesitation.
