Our guide Sheffie was the most kind and patient guide. We’re just leaving Tanzania and was on the safari a few days ago. Sheffie made the safari worthwhile. Such a kind soul! He knew the roads VERY WELL. I was impressed. He knew all about the animals and where to find them. We saw the Big Five, and were super close to many of the animals.Belinda was extremely helpful in putting together our package and itinerary. She was very responsive and easy to work with.I researched a lot of safari companies. Gosheni was the one I chose and soooooo glad I did. We watched other companies eat their boxed lunches while we ate real meals on location. Loved loved lake Masek Tented Camp (where the migration was located during our trip). Thank you Gosheni.

What can I say except Asante Sana Gosheni for making our holiday perfect.  we got the big 5!!Pendo, in the office and Laban our guide were both responsive, accommodating, knowledgeable and attentive.I reached out to several operators to plan my boyfriend and Is first safari.  Gosheni was more reasonably priced, flexible with the options and quicker to respond than others. Pendo was able to change my itinerary multiple times to accommodate requests based on changing flight optionsEverything from the airport pickup to the preordered sim cards was great. I didnt have to think. The safari vehicles were some of the newest and nicest around with fridges to keep our refreshments cold, and we felt like royalty with the hot lunches (vs boxes) and wine.Laban was incredibly knowledgeable about animals and collaborative with fellow guides to ensure everyone got the best experience.  He also called ahead to the last camp so we could try local Tanzanian food (spolier, its way better) and picked up supplies, also stopping so we could try local fruits and banana beers.The only thing that could be improved upon is some manner of activities in the lodges in the morning, as Safari is an easy way to gain 10 lbs! Yoga or morning fitness programs would be excellent.Other items to bring that I wish I knew of-high quality drink coozy for keeping refreshments cool. Kilimanjaro beer was a favorite. If you cant climb it, drink it-a canteen for extra takeaway morning tea or coffee.Dont hesitate to use Gosheni.  You wont regret it.

We had a fantastic experience climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro with the Gosheni team. The guide Richard and his team were very professional and skilled. We did the Machame route in 7 days.The food served was delicious and they truly went out of their way to ensure we are all having a great time.Highly recommend Gosheni to people who want to climb Kilimanjaro.

My first Safari in Tanzania was 25 years ago with my parents and back then I promised to come back with my own family. We just got back from an amazing 4-day Safari with Gosheni Safaris. The company really stands out with their outstanding level of service! The owner of Gosheni, Peter, was very helpful in customizing our trip to our needs and our budget. Our guide, Hassani, was very very experienced, he told us every single detail about the animals and background information about the national parks. Above any expectations, he served every day a super delicious lunch in a great scenery. Honestly, the lunches organized by Gosheni were by far the best food we had in Tanzania! Hassani even cleaned the Safari Jeep every day, not that we have expected that at all. And last but not least he has a very good sense of humor :-) So if you are looking for an unbeatable safari experience in Tanzania look no further and go with Gosheni and ask for Hassani as guide!

Our guide George was a true professional , very knowledgeable which made our 2 days with him entertaining, would recommend him to anyone. The Accacia accomodation in the mids of Tarangire was the cherry on the top!Of our second guide however, Richard, I cant say the same, without even properly starting the trip - we were reminded bluntly about the tipping process, also our flight was postponed a couple of hours so we had a few more hours to spend around Moshi, we had the feeling that both Richard and the driver couldnt wait to get rid of us (note we paid for the whole day)

This was a true Bucket List once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. Every part of our safari exceeded expectations. It is the kind of experience you need to live yourselves to fully understand and appreciate.Doing a lot of research beforehand Gosheni Safaris came out top to arrange our safari. This was the best decision we could have taken. From our first contact with Peter via email, their high level of professionalism and the positive feelings were clear. We went to Tanzania to visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Both the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Gosheni prepared a wonderful 5 days/4 nights itinerary for us. They also recommended to include one more place - Tarangire National Park. Not a UNESCO Site but home to thousands of elephants and many other species. In the end, this was a perfect combination for us.Early the first morning, we met up with Gabriel from Gosheni. He was our all-in-one Guide/Driver extraordinaire. Gabriel was a key component to us loving this experience so much. He was amazing at spotting animals. He is calm, patient, funny, warm and sweet. We loved our time together. Being tour guides ourselves we know what makes a good one. Not only was he a great guide but also a spectacular driver, we have never seen anyone drive like him. We did this during the small rainy season that wasnt so small. The driving conditions were pretty bad at times. Despite lots of mud driving in the rain, he was always in control and calm. Other drivers from competing companies actually asked him for both advice and directions.Gabriel picked us up at our lodge in Arusha and we headed straight to Tarangire National Park. Soon after arriving at the gates we saw our first herd of elephants and we knew this was going to be amazing. From then on, things only got better!For obvious reasons, there are no diners in the park so you need to bring your own food. Gosheni provided this. There was plenty of water to drink and lunch, a proper lunch, served every day. A table with a dark-red tablecloth and chairs were set up next to the Land Cruiser. Every lunch we had a warm main, dessert, fruit, African wine and/or soft drinks. We ate on proper plates with wine glasses and eaten with silverware. No plasticware and all in a true luxury style. We noticed well in this how Gosheni goes the extra mile to make this an extraordinary experience. We saw guests from other companies clearly admiring the way we were dining. We actually had one lunch inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Next to where hippos were chilling in the water, mind-blowing!With Gabriel by our side, we managed to see all the big 5 by our 3rd day. By day 4, our last day, the only remaining animal on our wishlist was the cheetah. Gabriel said - “OK, let’s go find the cheetah then”. By the end of the day, we had seen 4, one almost jumping over our jeep. We stood surrounded by elephants at some point every day. Lions walked leisurely next to our car, so did giraffes. We experienced a leopard chasing a warthog Pumba, rhinos standing around and ostriches not hiding their heads in the sand. We saw the famous Wildebeest and Zebra migration. Flamingo, Secretary Bird, Caracal, Jackal, Mongoose, Bat-eared Fox - you name it, we saw it!A safari is also a financial investment. We cannot imagine a better company to make sure you get your moneys worth than with Gosheni Safaris. Thank you so much for everything, Peter and Gabriel. We will forever cherish the memory of this once in a lifetime experience you gave us.

Before we went on safari in Tanzania over the Christmas holidays, we researched a number of safari guide outfits here on TripAdvisor. Gosheni caught our attention because it had good reviews but was less expensive than many of its similarly-rated competitors, and we found that they offered the most flexibility in terms of customizing your own itinerary, which was very important to us. After soliciting quotes from three outfits, we went with Gosheni. We are glad we did.First, our guide Laban was absolutely incredible. Very polite and professional, and he has a college education in zoology so he was very knowledgeable about the birds and wildlife we saw. This was important for us because we are well-informed birdwatchers and his knowledge of the local bird population was extensive and accurate. Insist on Laban if you want to birdwatch. Laban was also a responsible guide. We watched many guides nearly run over animals in the Serengeti, while Laban would get us as close as possible without disturbing the animal’s natural behavior or startling them.Second, the truck was very nice. The truck becomes your second home for the trip. We saw a lot of older trucks used by the bigger companies that we had considered hiring (including some broken down and on the side of the road between Ngorogoro and Serengeti, which has an awful gravel highway). Our truck was a Land Cruiser that was barely a year old, WiFi (!!!), and it had AC for the rear compartment, chargers for our cameras and phones (using a number of outlets, including American 2-prong type), and a refrigerator that came well stocked with water, beer, wine, and soda. Laban either took the car to be detailed every day or did it himself, even when we told him it wasn’t necessary.Being familiar with off-road vehicles ourselves, we noticed that the Gosheni trucks had BF Goodrich tires. If you aren’t familiar, these are often twice as expensive as generic/off brand tires. Laban told us that management insisted on BFGs in order to make sure the safaris run smoothly. I thought this was a very important detail that would be missed by most passengers, and it shows that Gosheni is laying out a good bit of money to prevent breakdowns.As far as the safari itself, Laban met us at Kilimanjaro International. We had a rough couple of days after Kenya Airways lost our luggage; without getting into too much detail, avoid Kenya Airways at all costs, as they cancelled and rebooked us at least 4 times in addition to losing our luggage. So it lifted our spirits to see that Laban was waiting for us, and he had set out a table near the truck with a bottle of wine and a white tablecloth for us to sit at while we listened to his briefing on the itinerary. We stayed a few nights in Arusha at the Planet Lodge which was excellent. We used this as home base for safaris to Arusha park and Kilimanjaro.Speaking of Kilimanjaro, Gosheni gave us a separate guide just for the mountain hike. Saloom (unsure of the spelling) had summitted Kilimanjaro 92 times and knew the mountain like the back of his hand. It was great that Gosheni provided us with a skilled second guide just for this hike.

I cannot recommend Gosheni Safaris enough! Right from the start, Pendo was extremely helpful, patient, and willing to go above and beyond. She was always available to cater to our requests, swift in her responses, and in the end created a package that was affordable and perfectly customised to our needs.And then there was Laban - our tour guide. One of the best and most gentle souls we met during our trip to Tanzania. His positive attitude, superior knowledge, and experience left us in awe - with a much deeper understanding of the local culture, flora, and fauna. They provided the best services and guides on our 6 day Safari in Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro National Park. They have the access to some of the best camps in all the national parks, so I hightly suggest that you go with the trusted name in Safaris, Gosheni (which means safe place)

I wish I could give Gosheni 6 stars!!I contacted SEVERAL different tour operators and Gosheni were the first company to get back to me in less than 24 hours which I appreciated immensely.Upendo provided me with clear options to suite our itinerary and budget which made booking with Gosheni an absolute breeze.We opted for the 2 day safari and had an incredible time! Laban was our guide and he was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. My friend and I were quite sad when we had to say goodbye.Thank you so so much for an unforgettable experience!

We cant safe enough about how awesome Gosheni Safaris is!!We did a custom 8-day safari, hitting several parts of the Serengeti and Tarengire. We started planning the trip about three months in advance. Pendu answered promptly all our questions via email and helped us create the trip of our dreams. Every minute of the trip was amazing. William met us at the airport and was our guide on the safari. His English, animal knowledge, cultural knowledge, driving skills, and sense of humor were impeccable. Bonus - he is Masai and was able to give us a window into that world.Gosheni was really first class all the way. While other tours were handing out box lunches and bottled water, we ate hot meals on tableclothed china with cold beer and wine.Finally, there were animals! We lost count of how many animals we saw, thousands of wildebeest and zebra, probably a hundred giraffe and elephants, a dozen lions and hippos, several cheetah and hyena, one leopard, and even a painted wolf.

Wow - not even sure where to begin. We did a 5-night 6 day safari with Gosheni. It was difficult for us to select which company we were going to safari with and we couldnt have been more happy with our choice. We were always comparing our vehicle, food and guide info with others along the way and it seemed like we were always better off then those we met! :) Our guide Azaria has a true passion for wildlife and ensuring his guests are happy. He went above and beyond for us in many ways including helping us to buy bus tickets upon our return back to Arusha. Our chef Benjamin surprised us daily with his delicious meals. Peter (the owner) was very patient and answered my many emails with lots of details and quickly. We received quotes from a lot of companies and Gosheni is extremely competitive and we felt in the end priced very fair for the services provided. We camped for 4 nights and then headed to a mid-luxury lodge for our final night. Camping in the middle of the Serengeti was so cool and it was nice to end the adventure in a fancy place!One thing that is very important when considering a company is having unlimited driving KMs. We didnt even know how important this was until we were chasing after a Cheetah and 2 other vehicles wouldnt follow as they were limited to the number of kilometres they could drive each day. Nothing stoped Azaria from trying to show us all the animals! :)I would not hesitate to recommend Gosheni to anyone - working with a smaller company who us truly committed to customer satisfaction is totally the way to go for an expensive activity like a safari.

Therefore, our expectations for our five days Tanzania- Safari trip were relatively moderate. However, we have to admit that Gosheni and in particular our guide (and now good friend) Azaria Mwanga (aka “Aza”) not only exceed all of our expectations by far but also provided as with a life changing adventure. With over 16 years of experience in and outside Tanzania, Aza has tremendous knowledge about vegetation, wildlife and local culture. Besides the high level of expertise and professionalism, Aza is just a great person with an inspiring positivity and a lot of passion for the nature. What an adventure! Would do it again. Fuha was our very talented driver, he got us through every mudhole and river. He was able to predict where the cheeta is going and so... Cheeta went on our car wohoooo :)Food is extra nice, everything is well Organized. All the good reviews on TripAdvisor are real, dont hesitate to book or get an offer. Safaris are expensive but you have so many things included that you dont think about. All park fees, all day with driver/guide, long long ways with jeep (loved it) water soda, extra good food, and accommodations. If possible always prefer the tended Lodges inside the park like acacia. They are luxury! And its so nice to hear the animalsounds in the night (and scary hehe)We also had one accommodation outside the park and there was better wifi, pools, many tourists etc but inside the parks is much better

I have not done my safari with them just yet. But Pendo is helping plan my private safari tour and she has been just amazing! I have contacted several safari tour but none have been more knowledge and helpful as much as Pendo. I will definitely update my review after the safari but so far it has been a good experience. They do amazing tailor made safari for a reasonable price. I will definitely recommend it to anyone.

We began our safari on Jan 1, 2021 in hopes to put 2020 behind us. I found Gosheni Safaris online and was immediately impressed with the attention to detail and “little extras” that were offered on the trip. I reached out via e-mail and had a response in about 24 hours - Peter was easy to work with and customized a trip for my 9 year old daughter and I that worked within our budget and dates we were available.The safari we chose included Tarangire Reserve, Serengeti National Park and Ngonorogoro Crater - a chance to experience all of the animals that you can see on an African Safari. It included accommodations with tent lodges and the final night stay at the Farm House.I booked the trip and we arrived in Arusha from Zanizibar. We were met at our hotel in Arusha on the first morning of our safari and was immediately put at ease by our guide Ombeni. He was genuinely interested in making our trip fun and enjoyable and was great at communicating what we were going to be doing and seeing and offered tips to help us find the wildlife as we were exploring.All of our bookings at the lodges was handled and our guide had lots of local knowledge of the area and we were able to see the big 5, and the only thing we didn’t see was a cheetah (not from lack of trying!).We were impressed with the experience, felt safe riding in the “safarimobile” as it was affectionately called by my daughter. Every detail from keeping the vehicle clean, knowing where the possibilities of finding the animals were, to communicating well with us during the trip was looked after.Between the booking process and the end of our safari, Amsterdam changed their covid transit requirements and Peter and Ombeni made it possible to find a place to get covid tested in Arusha at the end of our safari. This small gesture was greatly appreciated and made traveling in 2021 much easier!I would highly recommend both Gosheni and Ombeni for a future safari!

My husband and I enjoyed a 9 day safari around Tanzania with Gosheni Safaris Africa with Laban as our guide, and if I could give a higher review than excellent, I would. From booking to pick up through drop off, the entire experience was higher level class. Laban has an encyclopedic knowledge of birds, animals and flora, including behaviors and habitats, which is my joy. He taught us so much about the wildlife of Tanzania, but also about the culture and people, which is very important to us when traveling. Our lunches, even in the Savannah and in the Migration, included tablecloths and wine and hot meals eaten around a portable table set up, versus boxed lunches, a memorable and very classy and appreciated touch. The tent camps were beautiful and well stocked with great food and lovely and comfortable accommodations.My husband benefited greatly from Laban’s shared love of wildlife photography, so they were able to share tips and Laban could always find the best spots for angle and light. The photos are amazing as a result. An added benefit was Laban’s years of experience, which showed in finding the animals, knowing the routes, and having great communication and relationships with his colleagues to best share information for the benefit of all of the tourists. In general, Laban was laid back and engaging at once, able to read us immediately and figure out our pace and preferences from the outset. His driving (a vital part of the journey, as many of the roads were difficult to pass), was competent, confident and careful, allowing us to relax knowing we were in great hands.Overall, Laban and Gosheni Safaris Africa went above and beyond to give us the most incredible experience in Tanzania. I would and will recommend them to everyone. Thank you!

When I decided to book a Safari in Tanzania at the last minute I did some research and narrowed it down to three companies. I emailed them all and Peter from Gosheni was both the most responsive and the most accommodating for our needs.Once we arrived we were collected from the airport and taken to our hotel for the first night. The next morning we were met by our guide and travel companion for the next week, Ombeni.Ombeni was an amazing guide as he is smart, funny, very gracious and knows everything there is to know about this beautiful part of the world. He also has eyes like a hawk and was spotting animals in places it took us ages to see even when he was pointing them out.Now I know seeing all the wonderful creatures is down to a certain degree of luck but with a guide like Ombeni supported by the wonderful team at Gosheni you massively increase your chances.If you have ever wanted to go on Safari then Gosheni will be able to provide you with the most truly amazing experience.

Transportation was very comfortable. The food was very delicious, we liked it a lot. The places to stay was very nice. Definitely will recommend to everybody who wants to do this kind of activity. Amazing safari company! I went on a Serengeti tour with them in October 2019. Our guide, George, was incredible and knowledgeable, the accommodations were excellent, the food was delicious, and the experience in general was top-notch. They are an excellent local company - highly highly recommend using them as your tour operator! Communication was great, pick-up/drop-off were seamless, and I cant think of a single thing that I wouldve wanted to change. Highly recommend!

We just returned from an 18 day private tour with Gosheni. We were a group of five. Had an EXCELLENT safari. The folks at Gosheni were easy to work with, listened to our wish list, and help us plan the perfect trip. Our tour guide / driver George was fantastic. Spent two weeks on safari and beach with Gosheni and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a stress free safari. I worked closely with Gosheni on the planning of our safari many months ago and also left some details for them as they have far more experience than I and everything was perfect. We have completed many safaris in the past in Kenya and South Africa, but must say the sightings and experiences we had in Tanzania was the best to date and a wonderful way to celebrate our birthdays. Our guide/driver was professional and informative and very patient with us when we continuously wanted to stay with individual sightings rather than the normal dash off to capture something else kind of safari, probably why we got to witness/capture so many lion kills. Jessica our sales consultant has been excellent from start to finish, even calling me on our drive back to the airport on our final day to ensure everything was ok. If and when we return to Tanzania we will again chose Gosheni to make all our arrangements.

Brilliant safari- more than exceeded our expectations. We managed to see the Big 5 within 2 days. The safari was well organised from the beginning with a comprehensive briefing. The 6 days were well organised and we were treated to specialised knowledge with a charismatic guide. The acccommodation and food throughout the trip was excellent particularly within the Serengeti. I attended a tour a few years ago. The past couple of years Ive been getting constant email spamming from all kinds of factories in China, titled dear Gosheni Adventures. Meaning they sold their customers emails list to a third party. Dont travel with them unless you want to have several spam emails a week without the possibility of unsubscribing. There are plenty of other options in Arusha.

Jambo! After weeks of research and comparison on the internet on both French and English forums we found Gosheni Safari. Following an in-depth reading of the very positive comments, I contacted the agency. Verah our sales manager was able to answer all our questions by preparing a tailor-made safari for 4 days in Serengeti which was simply incredible! We saw nearly 50 lions, 2 cheetahs, 4 leopards, 4 groups of elephants (between 10 and 20), a rhino, giraffes, gazelles and other park animals. Our guide / driver Samir is very professional and friendly, he knows every corner to see as many animals as possible which is great! However, he wasnt very talkative about animals and their habits so dont hesitate to be pro-active and ask your questions yourself! In addition, be aware that all drivers have a bag with a tablecloth, cutlery and wine glasses, once again if you do not ask for it (you have to know it already) the driver will not offer it by default (well pity). To conclude, before booking we compared 4/5 large agencies and 3 independent guides (working for / with large agencies) and Gosheni is positioned with the best value for money. So do not hesitate to trust them for the organization of your trip :)

Discovering Tanzania with Gosheni Safaris Africa is the guarantee of making a safari in complete safety and in all adaptability. We had a very serious driver Samir, francophone who speaks French very well for us who have very approximate English, very good driver, also careful because it is important in this country where most of the roads are only tracks. After several searches on the internet with exorbitant prices, we came across Gosheni, where manager Pendo was very flexible by email. He advised us well and succeeded in meeting all our desires!We were just 2 (honeymoon), the 4x4 was like new no problem. There are no worries in the organization!BE CAREFUL however, we read that many are very satisfied with their SAMIR guide! Ask to take this guide! We werent lucky enough to have him we had another guide (D ****) not to say his name. His service has been really disappointing, I will not expand further.Our experience was still amazing!
