Just returned from an incredible 2 week experience with Wayo. An authentic wildlife adventure that will leave you wanting more.The great effort that Wayo puts into community development, and taking care of the environment left a very good impression on us.Without a doubt on Safari with Wayo you will get the most skilled and best trained guides in the whole of Tanzania. It was clear that the Wayo staff are well trained, they are looked after and there is investment in their development. This was a massive plus for us, and really seemed to be a differentiating factor compared to the other many tour groups in Tanzania from my observation.Ofcourse another specialty of Wayo is walking in the Serengeti, an experience that I cannot recommend enough to anyone reading this. It is really unique to Safari from afoot with a top quality wildlife guide. It allows you to really appreciate the African Bush, the sights and sounds. And you will still see the big game, we tracked down 2 large male lions during our first evening walk. Wayo are only one of a handful of tour companies who have received permits to walk so it is really a privilege.The Wayo Green Camps are stunning, peaceful, and away from the crowds. The best thing about Wayo camps is that the owner Jean has been able to scout the best locations due to Wayo’s special permissions to walk and be active in the wilderness areas. The Manyara Green Camp is a hidden gem, a private camp set in a river bed next to a waterfall coming down the great rift. Dining under the stars here was one of the highlights.We left Tanzania with a warmness in our hearts, not just because of the great holiday, but because of the great work and the passion displayed for conservation. We need more tour companies like Wayo in the world.My very highest recommendation goes to Wayo and I hope more travellers out there get to enjoy this experience.

Our group of 6 adults used WayoAfrica for the safari portion of our Tanzanian vacation. We saw the Big 5 on the first day (along with so many other animals); it was spectacular. Our guide Prim was professional, knowledgeable, and a great driver. With his guidance we saw over 30 lions over the course of the trip, including a pride with many cubs. He was very good at spotting the animals and we had information and stories about them. I would recommend Wayo, and Prim specifically, to everyone heading to Tanzania/Arusha/Serengeti.

Safari with Wayo in the beautiful Arusha National Park (that was my birthday present, and quite an expensive one) was definitely the worst one in our ten years in Africa. Vehicle was in very bad condition, guide called Ali very ignorant and rude. We just laughed when he claimed that the baby of colobus monkey is protected so much by its parents because it is white like a mzungu and witch doctors will try to take it,. But then it turned out that Wayo does not provide drinking water for its tourists and the guide did not bother to warn us. As we were with our kids and it was a hot day we asked him to change the route and pass by a park gate to buy water, to which the guy replied: “There are some people that make my life really difficult”. Never again, Wayo!

My husband and I just returned from a 9 day safari of Lake Manyara, Naabi and the Seregetti. George Phestor, aka Masarakurangwa Masarakanyaga Bupole, was our guide. He was so knowledgeable, patient and experienced it made our safari unforgettable. We had wonderful weather and the green camps were very comfortable. Nuru and Phillipo guided us on a night drive and we saw amazing things in the dark. We will recommend WAYO to all our friends and Asante Sana to everyone!!!
