Planning safaris can be overwhelming, as so many things to see, and many tour companies. but Roy Safaris, Made it so easy as they took the burden off us. They were easy to work with. They asked us a few questions to understand our requirements and interests and then BOOM… we got a PERFECT itinerary. Wish we had just contacted them from the onset! Our family of 4 had a fabulous safari with Salvatory – he is so polite and caring and never rushed us. He ensure we saw all we wanted to and more! Our Safari Jeep was extremely well equipped, AC, refrigerator with bottled water, coffee, books, charging sockets – this was amazing! And yes, the roof that opens – all made us feel so spoilt! This safari brought us closer as a family – we shared many thoughts & laughs with Salvatory; Tanzania is Truly a beautiful country! We are definitely coming back and it will be with Roy’s and Salvatory. Highly Recommended!

Roy Safaris was an incredible company to work with. From the onset of gathering information, the company was friendly, responsive and prompt. They answered all questions precisely and were patient while waiting for our response. On arrival at their company-owned hotel, The African Tulip in Arusha, we were greeted warmly with fresh juice and a very professional staff. The rooms were beautiful and well-appointed as was the entire hotel. We wanted for nothing. The very comfortable lounge was a perfect place to relax after a long day of travel and the drinks--with safe-to-drink ice--were delicious as was dinner in the hotel restaurant. Every member of the staff, from housekeeping front desk, bell staff, restaurant staff, as well as restaurant manager and hotel manager went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Our safari driver, Hassan, picked us up promptly at 8:30 a.m. after our briefing by a representative of Roy Safari. He stopped by a very nice grocery store on our way out of town so that we could get extra water and snacks. Hassan was wonderful in answering our million questions and would stop wherever we wanted to observe the animals and take pictures. He has the keenest eye and could spot animals from what seemed like a mile away. We saw ALL of the Big Five in 2.5 days and amazing sights such as the wildebeest migration, a leopard after a kill, lions on the hunt and after a kill, elephants, giraffes, hippos, cheetah...we saw everything we wanted and more. Hassan became a friend and I truly dont believe we could have had a better guide. The Tortilis Tent Camp in Serengeti and Sopa Lodge Ngorongoro Crater were superb places to stay on our safari. Roy Safari did a great job in choosing them for us. We were sorry to only have one night in each.At the end of our days, Hassan called the person picking us up in a small village to make sure he would be there and delivered us safely on to the next portion of our trip.After.9 days, we returned to The African Tulip where we were again greeted warmly and were called by name. The lounge and restaurant staff even remembered our preferences and treated us a friends. The manager of Roy Safari greeted us and remembered to bring a shirt my dad requested. Hassan also came by to say hello which was a great surprise! All in all, I cannot say enough good things about this company and our guide, Hassan. After months of research on various companies, I chose Roy Safaris based on their timeliness in answering questions and their thorough explanation of everything involved. I was worried because they were also the most reasonably priced but they met all my expectations and more. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I booked a 7 day safari for our honeymoon and could not have been happier with choosing Roy Safaris. The lodges and tented camps we stayed in were absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. James was our guide and was patient, courteous, knowledgeable, and polite. He even went above and beyond by taking us to a local wood carver we wanted to stop at on our way to the resort. We wanted to walk back to our resort from the shop in order to get a better view on local life and he walked all the way back to the resort with us. We seen all the animals we wanted to see and many more. If you are on the fence about what safari company to use I highly recommend booking with Roy Safaris. Looking forward to working with them on our next safari in the future!

Indian touroperator at Tanzania since a long time. The owner Mr. Sanjay Pandit is not only a good man but he is a kind hearted also. His infrastructure for conducting Sufferi as as Lodging arrangenwnt in his own Hotel African Tulip is highly appreciated. People from abroad can easily trust him as in recentn time unknown tour operators may cheat you untill you know the credential of the company.

I would recommend Roy Safaris to anyone wanting to see the Serengeti or Ngoragora in Tanzania. Our guide Richard was patient, informative and put us next to all of the Big Five animals. Accommodations were very safe and comfortable despite a small snafu with our transfer from Nairobi Airport.

We booked the trip for our honeymoon and it turned out to be an experience of a life time. All hotels and staff were great and even went out of their way to upgrade us to congratulate us.What made the experience so great was our guide Emmanuel(Manny). He was very informative and seemed to know where to find all the animals. If we’re lucky enough to go again I’d definitely request him to be our guide. We noticed a lot of tour companies and something that impressed me was the quality and condition of Roy’s Safaris vehicle’s compared to some others.I’d recommend Roy’s Safari to anyone thinking about going on an African Safari and ask for Manny as your driver.

We went on a college class trip with 12 students and a few professors, We had two different drivers, James and Charles, and both were extremely friendly, nice, and very knowledgeable. They were very helpful in teaching us about the culture and the different problems that the native people face as well as immersing us into the culture. They were also very good at helping us find the animals we wanted to see and teaching us about them. They were able to accommodate for our specific needs. Several of us had research projects to do in the field and they were willing to help us And stop when needed to collect data. We became really close with both James and Charles.

We spent a lot of time researching which Safari company to use as we wanted the best experience possible. Roy Safaris answered and addressed all our questions and concerns. So we chose Roy Safaris and can honestly say they made it the best trip we could ever have imagined. Fantastic accommodation - loved the tented lodges - the food was excellent, the knowledge of our driver and his attention to detail was the best. So thank you Roy Safaris! Special thanks goes out to our driver Salum for sharing his love of the beautiful country he lives in and guiding us with patience and kindness. James, Alexa & Carly

We have just completed a 5 day Safari with Roy’s safaris. From day 1 - Sanjay was very helpful in assisting to organise our trip and to cater for all our needs. Our Guide/Driver Salvatory couldn’t have been any more accommodating, he was very knowledgeable about the animals in their natural habitats and the surrounding areas. A credit to Roy’s Safaris. He went above and beyond his duties to make our trip memorable as did Sanjay. Highly recommended if you are planning a trip out in Tanzania.

Really Awesome Safari Guide named Salvatory. Ask for Salvatory for an awesome trip. Salvatory works very hard to please his clients. No complaints at all. Salvatory is also very knowledgeable. Roy Safaris was very prompt in responding to booking requests. They even responded after hours and on Sundays.

I have spent 4 days with Roy Safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro on a private safari. I found them in my Lonely Planet Guide. They provide only luxury tailored Safaris. It is a very reliable company though an quite expensive one.Guide and Driver:I was lucky to meet a great guide whom I STRONGLY recommend. Saidi is man with vast knowledge of animals and their habits. Not only is he accustomed with the fauna but also flora of the vast plains of Serengeti. He proved to be an expert in local Masai customs and their history. He brought me some of their native langue, not to mention Swahili. He is funny, communicative, easygoing, polite and full of empathy.Driving skillsId love to emphasize how well he drove throughout land paths of national parks with 4x4 car.COMPLAINUnfortunately I must complain about the quality of lunch boxes. I got a severe intestinal infection and was suffering a lot. Luckily I am a doctor and had suitable medicines to cure me. But for sure it is not what you would expect out of a pricey safari. It almost spoiled my fun. (Later on I visited a Masai doctor and got some local medicines that healed me).Nevertheless SAIDI did a marvelous job. He made his best to comfort me in hard times. I consider myself a nature lover who is pretty demanding. I got what I asked for.If you want to go to kind of bespoke safari. Feel relaxed all the time. Want to experience something special, and have some extra money for it. GO FOR ROY SAFARI! Youll not regret.

Thank you very much Roy Safaris for organizing such a wonderful tour and positive emotions! I really liked the organization of the tour: consultation, service, guide, car, lunches, resort ...Special thanks to our guide, Allen. We got a lot of new information from him about animals and Tanzania in general. Thanks to his efforts and experience, we saw the Big Five African and were very happy about it.I recommend!

Everything was perfect, from the organization of our safari several months ago to its completion in August 2020 despite the difficult context of the covid crisis. In terms of health, everything has been done to make us feel safe, and it really has been:- staff with masks in each hotel / camp we have done- hydroalcoholic gel available everywhere (including in the safari car)- social distancing always well respectedRegarding the safari, everything was perfect! Our very experienced guide, Allen, knows the parks like the back of his hand. Thanks to him we had an extraordinary experience! He made us discover sensational landscapes and allowed us to see a multitude of animals, like a cheetah mother with her 4 cubs, which was a unique moment. We also had the chance to see 2 leopards and see (through binoculars) black rhinos in the Ngorongoro crater. In addition to his experience in the parks, Allen taught us a lot about animals, as well as about Tanzanian culture. It was certainly the most beautiful and rewarding trip we have taken to date, and we sincerely thank him for it.All the camps / hotels / lodges that we have done were impeccable, both in terms of the staff, always smiling and attentive, and in terms of cleanliness and comfort. We would also like to thank Sanjay, the manager of Roy Safaris, for his investment in organizing our trip in this difficult period.Pauline and Alexis

We have just returned from a 6 day Safari with RoySafaris and everything was great! The organization by email with Susan was super fast and efficient and she advised us well on our itinerary. We asked for a French speaking guide, and we were lucky to have James. Super friendly guide with lynx eyes, thanks to whom we saw the Big Five and many other animals. The hotels offered were all great, each with its own particularity. And the meals are hearty and delicious 🤤The agencys big Toyota Land Cruisers are really needed, considering the number of kilometers of tracks swallowed every day.In short, we can only recommend RoySafaris to discover the beauty of Tanzanian parks!

We went on a three-day safari in December 2019. Everything is impeccably organized. The accommodations are upscale, the vehicle impeccable and especially our guide Franck was perfect. We were able to discover the Ngorongo, the Serengueti with many explanations and especially to approach the animals. I highly recommend this agency for its professionalism and the quality of the service.

Bad value for money. They are offered as a leading company, with good cars and excellent service. The car is the same as all and the roof and the gearbox broke down, thankfully it was the last day and we could barely return. The service is not so excellent, the food is good and varied, but the explanations of the guide are insufficient with little information that had to be taken out little by little. As for the itinerary I do not recommend Lake Manyara because you take a three-hour tour and they put you one more day. The morning you throw it between the office and eat at a campsite that is actually 100 km from Arusha. The next day to make time try to strain an excursion or a Masai cultural activity. This is explained because you have to enter the Ngorongoro at 2-3 pm so that the last day you can leave at the same time ...The transport day from serengeti to ngorongoro tb was a total waste of time we left at ten in the morning because they thought it was good.Anyway I would not recommend it at all.
