Safari in Ngorongoro and Serengeti with Fadhil (guide and driver) and Dickson (chef) from Paradies Safaris was an amazing experience. It was our second time with these awesome guys.We came back after 5 years and spent a week with them on the most incredible safari so far. We watched great migration of gnus, zebras and Thomsonβs gazelles and lots of other natureβs wonders - The Big 5, hippos, birds and birds of prey. The plan for the trip had been prepared based on our requests, we got great suggestions and we loved the whole experience.I strongly recommend Paradies Safaris and when you book your trip ask for the best team - Fadhil and Dickson! π
This was the best travel I have ever had. Especially as a safari is a once in a life time trip, I couldnt have wished for a better guide than Brian and had more than enough food with Paulo. Everything was organised as we desired. Can recommend it very much to everyone wanting to do a safari! Would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could!
Brian and George are the Bestβ¦.We had booked a 7 Day Safari through the most important Nationalparks of Tansania (Arusha, Tarangire-Nationalpark, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti). The process of booking was super easy and Hilde planned a well rounded trip with a mix of nights in Lodges and Camp Sites. On tour with us were our driver and guide Brian and the Chef la cuisine George.Brian had an excellent and super deep knowledge about every animal crossing our way and he also knew every secret spot of the shy ones. He will definitely make you see all big 5!!!βΊοΈWhile driving through the parks with Brian, George stayed in the Camp Sites and cooked the most delicious super traditional african food for usβ¦All in all was the Safari with Paradies the best adventure we could have ever dreamed of!Thank youTom & Lisa

I booked a solo trip at the travel agency Paradies safari at Dar es salaam airport. They booked all the flights online to go to Arusha, and the safari.I saw the amount that I had to pay for every flight so I paid them in cash. What they did after, they kept changing my flights to different airports and timings. When I checked online the price, it was way cheaper than what I paid them.Apart from that, they did not book the kind of safari I asked for and they put me on a group which had different timings for their flights so we had to drop them to a pick up point. We only enjoyed 3 hours safari that day.Fue day I had to come back to Dar Es Salaam, someone from the agency was supposed to pick me up and take me to ARusha airport. They called 2 hours before departure telling me I had to go to Kilimanjaro airport and I had to take a shuttle bus and a taxi will pick me up to take me to the shuttle. When the taxi dropped me at the bus station, the bus was gone so I had to pay the taxi to drop me to Kilimanjaro.Everything ended by going back to Dar Es Salaam to the travel agency to claim my money back from the flights. After a lot of back and forth from the owner, I got the back the extra money that I paid for the flights.I dont recommend this tour safari at all.
We highly recommend to book with Paradies Safaris. The driver James and the cook Dickson did a great job. You could always feel their passion for wildlife animals and good food. James showed us more than the big five and enjoyed it himself. Dickson prepared a lot of local food and tried always to make everyone happy. In total best crew! Not to forget Lisa, she considerd all our wishes and responded very fast to our emails. At the end of the safari we had a lovely dinner with her.Its also good to know that all employees have an official contract and are payed monthly, not only by tip like in other agencies. Asante sana Paradies Safaris!
Every Safari is a unique experience. Whenever you are confronted with a natural environment you are facing the unexpected. We chose Paradies Safaris because of a recommendation by a friend. Hildegard - the boss - is a fascinating personality! The communication was very friendly and informative! She knows what shes doing, not at least because of her long experience. We were a group of four and travelled for 6 days - Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Ngorongoro Wildlife Conservation Area and the famouse Serengeti. What made it really extraordinary and made the difference were the people - our guides - accompagnion us. Maluta our driver and Dixon our Chef. They took so good care of us. Maluta tried to show us all possible animals and his effort leaded to success. We did saw the big five and more. It was unbelievable!Dixon the Chef was a fantastic one. We had three meals daily and he also cooked vegetarian. Our experience with Paradies Safaris in Arusha was just great! We def reccomend it - price and experience relation is great too!
We did an unforgettable trip with Paradise Safaris, a lifetime experience. The planning adapted perfectly to our exspectations and wishes. Just mail or give them a call and Hilde, friendly owner of the company, will support you with anything you need to know. Thanks a lot!

Nice people, very experienced when it come to camping Safari!
I originally planned the safari last year and was able to postpone it to 2021 without any problems. The contact with Hilde was always very nice and uncomplicated. She made everything possible to offer me as a single traveler an unforgettable experience. Fadhili, my guide, during the 6-day safari knew everything very well and provided me with many interesting details about the animal world, flora and fauna. Georg the cook always looked after my physical well-being with great cooking skills. For everyone who travels to Tanzania, I recommend the safari tours with ParadiesSafaries and take 4-6 days for them. What I liked best was the Tarangira National Park with its unbelievably large number of animals, the Ngorongoro Crater with its many animals and an unbelievably beautiful ambience. A highlight there, the Simba Campsite. Sleep in a tent with elephants, zebras, giraffes and buffalo next door. Even the Serengeti in the dry season with sightings of many big cats was incredible.Dear Paradies Safari Team, thank you for the great unforgettable time - a dream comes true ...
We experienced an incredibly great safari tour through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire with the guide Sigi and the cook Marco. Through Sigis eagle eyes we have seen almost all animals that can be found. We always felt safe and were given the necessary background information about all the animals. Marco has conjured up really delicious meals in the wilderness and of course always considered the extra wishes of the group. All in all, it was an incredibly good time with good and nice people. We would recommend these two guys at any time. GG
We enjoyed our 6-day safari to the full. Everything was well organized. Our guide and driver Fahdili was very knowledgeable about the Natiolparks and taught us a lot about animals and nature. The cook Mr. Paolo spoiled us with his delicacies. You dont have to go hungry here;) We can recommend spending a few nights in campsites. It was an adventure to spend the night right in the wilderness. We can definitely recommend the safari to others!
Just wow..!We are so excited about Hildes company. She is the owner of Paradies Safaris and a German biologist who emigrated a few years ago.We had a lot of email traffic beforehand (in German, of course) and she responded to all of our needs. We went on safari for 7 days as well as one day in advance at your lodge and one day before departure. On the subject of price-performance, I really have to say we got a MEGA bargain. We had offers from several companies in advance and without giving any numbers we would have paid the same for another, well-known company for just 4 days of safari. Our private safari included a guide Brian who was also the driver and our own cook Jorge. Both were incredibly nice and always punctual and had explained every stupid question to us in detail.Brian did a three-year training as a guide for the various national parks and you noticed that extremely. Not only could he explain everything about the characteristics of the animals to us, but he also knew the best places to discover them at what times.I really can only rave about it. And to Jorge - hes such a lovely person and there were fresh pancakes every morning. Always fresh fruit and the best soups as starters. He even kindly went shopping with us so that we could buy you some delicious spices.I can only say positive things about our lodges and campsites. We even heard the hyenas laugh and the lions scream during the night. But dont worry, the two were one tent away. : DSo it is a shame that this country is of course also affected by the consequences of Corona and tourism is less. It is all the more important to confirm people and to tip them well. It is unbelievable how warmly they are happy and, to be honest, 24/7 support is not without it.Therefore, great respect for the planning of the tour and everything else. We were so excited π€©
We had originally booked the safari for 2020, but were then able to postpone it to 2021 without any problems. Hilde was always flexible and helpful. We spent a total of 5 days with Dickson (cook) and Peter (guide) in different national parks and it was just perfect. Due to Corona we were only 2 guests and thus had a private safari. Peter read every wish from our lips all day long, so that we had a wonderful time and could see a lot of animals. He drove very comfortably and was able to spot the animals at a distance of 2km without binoculars :)When we came to the accommodations in the evening from the safari, Dickson spoiled us with delicious food every evening. Every evening there was a really delicious soup beforehand, then an excellent main course and fruit for dessert.During the entire time we felt like we were in a small family and would recommend Dickson and Peter as travel companions to everyone. Many thanks to the entire Paradies Safari team and a special thanks to Dickson and Peter for making our time in Tanzania an unforgettable one.Asante Sana & baadaye, guys! :)
We booked a 3-day group safari for Tanzanias national parks online and got a 25-page description of the safari process. We had with Lisa, a German speaking staff several times mail traffic and felt very well looked after. The safari itself was just amazing. The first day we even had our guide completely for us, as another couple came to us only a day later. I could not have imagined a better guide than Brian. One has noticed how much he loves the animals and takes into consideration their habitat and yet tries us the best experiences to give us views ... and he has done. In the evening we could tell him about our life in Germany, while he answered all our questions about the Tanzanian lifestyle. Our chef Dikson (I hope he is so written) just made us mega delicious food and looked after every little wish. Both men are just sympathetic people who have created a distinctive safari. There were only 2 negative things that spoiled our mood. For one thing, the rest of us should actually be paid in cash at the start of the safari in the office, but the evening before were suddenly in our hotel men and wanted our money. After several phone calls, however, we insisted on the money until the following day to settle .. something suspicious you are, especially if you are so ΓΌberrumelt. And the zwete negative point: The toilets on our campsite. One night we were at a campsite and the water was all the next morning. Nevertheless, many people were probably in the bathroom and when I looked in, everything was just shit. It had me messed up my mood. Although it was in the safari description sanitary facilities (Tanzanian standard), but this was not a standard, but an impertinence.Nevertheless, I can only recommend paradise safaris :)
We found Hildes Paradise Safari via Trip Advisor and were initially very impressed by the positive-praising descriptions we found there. Our first contact was also very positive, Hilde contacted back even outside office hours and created a suitable for our budget offer, which she sent us in a very descriptive and detailed description, so that we have a wonderful description of activities, Supply, flora and fauna got. And so all the more anticipation!Overall we loved the thorough preparation, the absolutely caring and competent care, the pleasant and well chosen lodges and camps and the people who accompanied us. Starting with Peter as our first Mwalimu (teacher), for the first Swahili basics, which among other things explained to us how polepole (slowly slow) life in Tanzania is done. Wonderfully understood, we also addressed our many questions patiently and openly with our graciously attentive and extremely knowledgeable and informative guide Landelin, who spied every lion on a tree or the hyena in the distance. His `hamna shida-no problem / no worries / easy / your welcome` - simply a life attitude - will probably accompany us through life from now on.Culinary delights from breakfast to packed lunch to three-course dinner in the evening we were from our wonderful stomach engineer Ali, who cooked us deliciously without light in the light of his headlamp and made sure as true sunshine always in a good mood. All this all around fantastic breathtaking landscapes to an absolutely magnificent wildlife have made this safari for us a beautiful and lasting impressive experience. Not to mention the pre-and after-care at the Arusha Paradise Lodge, the organization of trips to the city, the hot springs at Moishi or the Local Market in Arusha. This was a unique opportunity to get in contact with the people and their worlds on the ground safely and well accompanied. A wonderful experience to get a first feel for this beautiful country and its warm-hearted people who actually live Karibu (Welcome)!Thank you Hilde and your whole team from Paradies Safari for this wonderful time!
We (four people) booked with Paradies Safaris because we were looking for a safari with good value for money. Anticipated, this has also been confirmed.During the planning we were in contact with Ms. Hildegard Keil (owner). The tour was tailored to us and we had very nice days in Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara, Tarangiere National Park and last but not least in the unforgettable Ngorogoro Crater. The accommodation in the hotels, the lodge and the campsites was good. Our driver and guide Fadhil has probably seen every animal (we would have overlooked 80%) and overall he made a very experienced impression on us. The chef Dickson cooked absolutely first class for us.Overall, the safari is worth 5 out of 5 stars to me.
Wonderful 7 day safari with tent and lodge!Due to excellent reviews and very accommodating cancellation options in times of Corona, we ultimately decided on Paradies Safaries and were not disappointed. We have booked the 7 day safari classic and are thrilled.Landelin our driver and guide drove us confidently and safely through all 5 national parks, provided us with a lot of information and patiently fulfilled every wish. We had the pleasure of watching countless lions, rhinos, leopards and Gebhards as well as elephants, giraffes and antelopes in the wild. Thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossed our path in the Serengeti. It was amazing...Our cook Ali took care of our physical well-being. Every evening he conjured up a 3-course menu for us. In the morning we were pampered with pancakes, omelets and fresh rolls. Many thanks to the organizers as well as to Landelin and Ali for this successful tour.Of course we had concerns about Corona. Just like us, our driver and cook carried out a test beforehand at our request. At the moment, vacationing in Tanzania is definitely safe and recommended, if you observe the distance and hygiene rules.
When booking our trip to Tanzania, in addition to a kitesurfing holiday in Zanzibar, it was a matter of course for us that we also wanted to go on a safari. We got the tip from a work colleague to inquire about Paradies Safaris, because Hildegard Keil put together a great safari years ago and sounded very enthusiastic. This saved us from searching for a fight through the countless safari agencies on the Internet, whose prices can make you dizzy.Hilde responded promptly to our request and sought personal contact in order to put together an individual travel package for us, which should exactly meet our safari needs. We felt very well advised from the start and decided to go on a 4-day safari. With our arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport in Arusha, our journey for 5 days to a wonderful part of Tanzania begins. The taxi is ready and we are taken to a beautiful lodge in Arusha. In the evening Hilde comes to visit us to get to know us and to chat a little, we feel safe and comfortable. Especially on such a trip it is irreplaceable to have someone who knows their way around the foreign country and who not only collects the fee as a tour operator but is also available as a contact person. No matter what happened in the coming days, be it forgetting your passport in the taxi, massive side effects from malaria medication and general questions - Hilde is available, helpful and calm. Our guide Brian and the cook Suberi made a significant contribution to this. With Brian you can tell that he lives this job with passion and is very well trained. We felt comfortable and safe in all situations. Due to his unobtrusive way of getting to know us and our βsafari needsβ, it quickly became clear to him that one would prefer to discover every single lion in Tanzania and the other would like to capture one animal portrait more beautifully than the other on her camera. Together we actually managed to see the Big 5 on our journey through Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater! As Brian explained to us again and again, beaming with joy, not many safari guests can say that about themselves! Why we recommend Paradies Safaris without hesitation and give it 5 out of 5 stars:From our Land Rover we could not only observe wild animals and breathtaking landscapes, but inevitably also all the other adventurers who were led through the national parks by their guides. There are certainly a lot of good and very good rangers behind the steering wheels, but we never wanted to swap them with Brian, he just has an incredibly good sense of where the animals are, where you have the most beautiful view and is with us Every day up to the last minute we crashed through the parks to savor the time to the full, in the evening we arrived completely overwhelmed and exhausted by so many impressions in our accommodations where most of the other safari guests had long been sitting in their lodges or tents. At a time when an awareness of the waste problem is becoming more and more essential, we were unfortunately able to observe that all other safari guests were provided with throw-away lunch boxes. Cardboard or plastic boxes in which the food and drink was packed and stowed again, which were obviously thrown away after being used once. This is a western trend that should never have arrived in this country. It was all the more remarkable for us that we were allowed to take our lunch from a Tupperware box every day, it has to stay that way!Having Hilde as contact person and travel organizer marks the end of our βsafari blissβ.Thank you thank you thank you.
We, a group of seven people, were traveling with Landelin and had an unforgettable time with this very personable guide. He was not only super competent but also very funny and entertaining. We saw three national parks (Tarangire, Lake Manjara and Ngorogoro Crater). The Big Five in three days and it was a breathtaking panorama very different in the different parks.I can 100% recommend Paradise Safaris and above all our guide Landelin. Our stomach engineer (cook) Paolo was also brilliant. We had fantastic food (local food) and Paolo was super friendly and personable. Landelin and Paolo are a super team, this safari will always be remembered !!!!!meggi
Thanks to Hilde and Lisa from Paradies Safaris I was able to experience - my first - and certainly not the last, unforgettable and breathtaking 3-day safari in Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. We were a 7-member group, which harmonized really well. I would always book a group safari, it was just great fun together! The organization was 1a, I felt very well looked after. The time management went smoothly. Our driver and guide Landolin is a kind-hearted person, patient and hardworking, super reliable, with a vast knowledge of animals and nature. Landolin has not only once spotted distant animals and made us aware of many animals and plants. He is also a great driver! Paolo, our chef deserves just as much praise. The food was really always delicious, varied and lovingly prepared. The first night we spent on the Kigongoni campsite. The camp site is very basic, you can not expect luxury here, but everything was clean and the tents are quite comfortable with beach chairs. It was great to fall asleep with all the animal and nature sounds, but also nice to spend the next night in the Twiga Lodge and have a private bath again! So I can say, the change Camping / Lodge is really great! Overall, my expectations were really exceeded and I have not a single point of criticism. With all my heart a thousand thanks to Hilde and her great organization team!
A very good and responsible safari provider in Arusha. Great tours everywhere in East Africa and of course especially in Tanzania - especially recommended for families! We did a 9-day safari through the Northern Circuit, great guide, a great chef and a perfectly organized tour!
Great driver, great cook, jeep with 7 people but quite tight. PS looked after us very well. Many TseTse flies in some cases. Lots of lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos.Best parks: Arusha with walking safari, Ngorongoro (you could certainly stand it for 2-3 days.Great lodges, but in the end gastrointestinal problems for the majority.
In September of this year, a childhood dream of mine came true - safari in Tanzania! Our travel planning started at the beginning of the year. We got in touch with Hildegard Keil by email. She immediately contacted us by phone and we were able to discuss our ideas with her in a detailed personal conversation. We really wanted to go to the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. Hildes question whether we also wanted to visit local ethnic groups, we answered spontaneously with yes. Next we received our more than 70 pages long travel proposal - our vacation was described down to the smallest detail: Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. A 7-day safari with overnight stays in tents and lodges. Then visit the Datoga smithy, the Hazabe bush people and a Maasai village. Just reading that was a pleasure. Our anticipation increased and we agreed the trip specifically with Hilde - by email or by phone. Of course, in the long time until the start of the trip, various questions came up - these were always answered competently and patiently by Hilde.Everything went smoothly on the trip itself. We were picked up at the airport as agreed, even though the plane was 2 hours late. The next day we met the rest of our group, 2 Swiss couples. Then we got to know Fadhili and Marco, who accompanied us throughout the tour. Fadhili as driver and Marco as cook. The two of them accompanied us wonderfully, told us an incredible amount about the country and its people and, above all, the animals. The food that Marco conjured up for us every day was delicious. Fadhili led us purposefully to all sorts of animals that we would certainly not have seen without him. After this safari our group separated and we were allowed to come into contact with the people alone with Marco and Fadhili. Here we had very impressive and special encounters that really rounded off our vacation for us.All in all, a wonderful experience that we will feed on for a long time.
Great safari with great value for money. We were 5 Germans and with Laurent (Koch) and Fasiri (Guide). We went on the 7 day safari (all the surrounding parks of Arusha). We learned a lot from our guide and he really knew his way around. Especially when he told breakfast in the morning which animals he heard from afar at night. The whole 7 days we were cooked abundantly and there is really something for everyone. At the beginning Laurent asked if we had any special requests, such as vegetarian, have and followed. Every evening there was a starter (soup), main course (consisting of meat and several side dishes and salad) and dessert (mostly fruits). The breakfast with scrambled eggs and pancakes was really delicious. At noon there were lunch boxes, which also varied every day and made everyone full and happy.Camping and daily game drives were a real experience. Not only that you were surrounded by animals around the clock, you also learned so much about the behavior of the animals and about flora and fauna. The landscape in Tanzania is so diverse and there is something new to admire every day.I can only recommend the safari. We were particularly impressed by the personal contact and specialization in German guests.True to the motto Hakuna Matata you have to forget your German correctness and overlook small problems;)Hilde had booked us hotels in Zanzibar before the safari and afterwards with which we were all very satisfied and which we certainly would not have found. All in all a great vacation that we recommend to everyone.
Thats just great! We discovered the contact by chance on the Internet and after the first super friendly contact it was clear that we wanted to go on our safari with Paradies. Lisa gave us great advice and made a great individual offer. Also with Hilde, the very dear owner, had contact with us and is really great and always tries to fulfill the customers every wish! We had a 6 day safari with so many great impressions (lions, elephants, and much more the breathtaking landscape). And I would particularly like to mention our driver Aans, who handled everything in a totally relaxed and professional manner, both as driver and tour guide. And on the other hand our cook and accommodation / tent builder Ally, a super cheerful person who conjured up the hottest dishes for us. Just sensational !! Always laughing and spreading a good mood. Very important Hakuna Matata. Theres a lot of that here! Thanks to the Paradies Safaris team. : - *
It ran like clockwork. Perfectly coordinated mixture of cultural stay (in the former capital Arusha), unforgettable safari and beach stay. The safari is tailored to the point, and contrary to the other opinion here we were well looked after. When we even had a second puncture (unlikely, but it can happen, you drive through the steppe in places!) Everything went smoothly, our cook brought help on foot within 30 minutes, a second spare tire was there! Incredible use! Great care from day 1, 1000 thanks for the unforgettable trip !! We will be back and cant wait =)
Perfect for anyone who wants to do a fantastic safari in Tanzania, but can not afford the horrendous normal prices. Driver James even speaks German. Lisa and Hilde really go out of their way to put together the right program for everyone. And Paradise Lodge is the best thing to find in Arusha for the price!
It started well, but ended in disaster. A friend and I organized the safari only on site and were very well looked after and advised to the booking. But after we paid the money, Hilde was suddenly unreachable. Not even when our rickety car fell apart in the middle of the Serengeti. For hours we sat in uncertainty and only thanks to a lovely group, we could continue our tour. When we still did not know how to get to Arusha 300 km away on our last day until noon, we tried to get information from Hilde, who in all seriousness suddenly did not even know our car was broken. At 4 pm, a replacement car finally arrived, but in worse condition than our original car. We were sent on a night drive through the Serengeti, with a car without a working light. It really bordered on mortal danger. The only comment from Hildegard was: Nobody wanted it that way. We thought we were in good hands with a German, but I would advise against any book a safari with her.
Perfect safari with Landelin and Pauolo! We had such a great time and so much fun on this safari. It is a unique experience and it will definitely not be my last safari!Pauolo always prepared such great food for us and we never lacked for anything. Landelin made our safari unforgettable and always responded to our needs, we had so much fun with him! :) Both of them definitely have their hearts in the right place! I would also like to thank Hilde and the entire team for the great support! The landscape is unbelievably beautiful and very different in each park, we even saw the Big 5!
