I stayed at the Coffee Lodge three times and it is always an enjoyable experience. The lodges are roomy and clean with private patios. Lots of distance between the cottages. Friendly staff throughout. There is an excellent fine dining room, a bistro with pizzas and other good choices. Nearby coffee shop is also pleasant. Not far from Arusha airport.

Omg absolutely beautiful, serene lush green environment. I had the sunday brunch here, very good variety is offered. The stir-fry is a must if you love asian veggies. The Coffee is very good. There is a cafe on the property as well I have used a number of times, good environment for working. They also offer accommodation and a shopping experience on the property.

Absolutely Beautiful Hotel! Upon arriving, we were greeted with the most AMAZING iced coffee that Ive ever had in my life!! Kind and helpful staff. Gorgeous buildings. Breakfast and afternoon buffet were both wonderful. Extremely laid back and relaxing dinner. All the food was cooked well. I wish we could have spent more time there! If you have an opportunity I would recommend it!

This place is awesome. The food is exquisite and there often are monkeys running around and playing on the rooftops. As well as some beautiful cats roaming around. They are friendly and may accompany you for dinner if you sit outside. All have been vaccinated by Elengata AgroVet Services. And the spa there is absolutely amazing too and the tanzanian prices for volunteers and locals are wonderful as well.

I go here quite regularly to eat in their restaurant. Food is good, service is good, but the menu hasnt changed in the 18 months Ive been here. That might be ok if youre staying as a hotel guest, just passing through; but the menu is a little tired after all this time.

Very expensive lodge on the outskirts of Arusha. The place to come if you are looking to meet well-heeled guests and VIPsBeautiful grounds, upscale shops with quality merchandise. After a long journey Arusha Coffee Lodge was a comfortable start to Tanzania. The room was a little unloved in places but in general its heart was in the right place. The food was exceptional, the bar was cozy and the Kilimanjaro beer ice cold. Plus with all that greenery you could almost forget you’d left home at all. Recommended for those who prefer a gentle introduction to a new country rather than a slap in the face.

Coffee Lodge is a very nice hotel, and a great place to overnight before and after a Tanzanian Safari. Staff were always cheerful, friendly and helpful (takeaway large coffee on the morning I was leaving for the airport and had overslept was a life saver!).The resident monkeys must be permanently amped from eating coffee beans.A highlight of the place is the attached workshop and souvenir shop for local handicapped folk. Great idea.

We stopped here as a stopover between parks on a safari package that we were on. I dont know if its because the coffee was fresh since after all it was probably roasted that day, or if like a lot of countries they just keep the best coffee for themselves. But this was by far the best cup of coffee Ive ever had in my life and Ill try a lot of coffee.

It was the 5 and final lodging and i was only there for 1 night. The dinner server barely talked to us and at every other lodge we have ordered starter entree and dessert at the same time, so we did it this time too. We didnt get our dessert until we asked two other people for it and it still took time to get to us.The next morning while we were giving another server our order, our drink order was given to us by another server. Once the drink server left the entree server tried to take my order again. This place is in the city and is nice but the staff needs more training. All the other servers at the more rural areas were way better trained on server etiquette.

My tour guide Poa was great! 😊He knows everything about coffee and was very friendly. Stop here for an interesting tour of the Arabica coffee farm, which includes a fresh-roasted coffee tasting. FYI, the word poa means cool in Swahili. Im told it can also be a name. Coffee beans are a bit pricey here, but you can purchase some ground coffee (maybe also whole bean) that is Rainforest Alliance-certified. I havent seen that certification on the coffee in local markets nor in supermarkets.
