Amazing setting, sea facing. The breeze is heavenly. Menu is shallow for non sea food customers. Would love to see more options on steaks and burgers. Nonetheless the beef burger was juicy , and well prepared. The fillet steak was 3/5, the margherita pizza was on point 👌.Can do better on the fresh juices. Watermelon was just ok!

BEST VALUE FOR MONEY! I dropped by a few places and this place had a great view with reasonable prices for food and drinks. I ordered the Prawn Curry which is listed under Swahili Foods. The meal was great and only $10 including a drink. You cant go wrong with that. Service is quick and friendly.

The food is first class and chef Masoud is brilliant manager , I tried the Coconut curry shrimps and it was amazing. Fried calamari is perfect , salad and shop also. The sweet pudding is a must have sweet

We had lunch in this restaurant. We had swordfish and kingfish and it was very tasty. Also the vegetables were very well cooked. Totally recommend it.

I’ve been here numerous times and this is by far my favorite restaurant in ZANZIBAR. The service is absolutely phenomenal and the owners are so warm and welcoming. If you’re looking for a quick bite or a dessert, this is the place to go.Their date cake is out of this world, I have never tried anything like it before. It is so warm and delicious and is freshly baked.All of their fish dishes tasted amazing, and I recommend their rice pilau (it comes with a sauce which tastes incredible). -> photo attached.We were here everyday of our trip and the best part is the view the restaurant has to offer as well. I visit them last night at their newly built restaurant right on the beach. It was very nice, quiet. The food and the hospitality was great. Definitely would love to go again.

We had some problems finding a restaurant offering good local Swahili food where we could also understand the menu. Then we were recommended Archipelago by our hotel and that problem was solved. Not only did we get to taste local food but we also got a beautiful beachfront location for it. I had “Ndizi Na Nyama” which Google translated as Bananas and Meat. It was plantain and beef stew in a coconut sauce, I really liked it. My girlfriend had the Red Snapper fish with Orange and Ginger, which she also really liked. Plantain, Coconuts, Oranges and Ginger all grow locally on Zanzibar and are all so incredibly full of flavour compared to what we get at home. We loved the Archipielago Café, both the food, the location on the seafront and the lovely staff!

Ocean view patio, friendly staff, great food, the jumbo prawns, pepper steak and coconut vegetable curry are my favorites here. Don’t miss out on their spice coffee and masala chai also.

Good food, good view of the sea, near historical sites

This is possibly one of my least favourite experiences at a restaurant in a long time. The owner of the restaurant barely knew how to give me any suggestions of what to order and his staff were even worse! they all appeared extremely uninterested, unhappy exhausted and almost looked as though they were forced to be at work against their will. The waitresses were extremely unattentive to any of the clients needs. Any time a client asked for any additional items they would ALL drag their feet back and forth and had very unfriendly, unwelcoming and angry looks on their faces. This was undoubtedly among the most inferior examples of customer service I have ever witnessed. As for the dish I ordered, as can be seen in the picture I have added, (the chicken pilau), when I took a bite into the chicken and the rice there was absolutely no flavour! It was extremely bland and tasted as though there was no seasoning whatsoever - the chicken was just boiled for a bit. Although this restaurant is strategically located right on the water, I honestly would avoid going there because there so many other better options in the Stone Town area of zanzibar. I forced myself to eat the meal because I was tight on time, but otherwise I would have trashed it if I had more time to go elsewhere and get something better (its not hard to beat). Dont bother wasting your time or money here - you will regret it!

Great place to unwind and watch the tourist crowds flock to the boats from the beach. The internet here is off and on but its good sometimes to stay away from the web. Also its a great place to meet people and having casual business meetings.

Nice restaurant nice food

Waiting for 55 minutes for a regular meal, a taste that desires to taste, and at the end of the habit, they would not calculate the score. Calculate the paycheck 4 times, tell you it is ok, and after you leave restaurant calls on the beach that you have not paid enough. After another 2 or 3 recalculations realize that you paid the first time correctly. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Petrifying restaurant, one of the worst if not THE ABSOLUTE worst I have ever been to! I was visiting here all the way from Canada as a friend recommended it to me. I was extremely shocked and appalled by the terrible food but especially the worst client service possible. I discourage anyone from going here unless you dont have taste buds. You wont be bothered by customer service if youre blind since it is non-existent. What a total waste of time and money!

Great flavors. Good value for money

Food is good and service is prompt and friendly. Prices seem average for the area, but as frequent travellers to the tourist-y areas of lower and middle-income countries, I am surprised generally by how high prices are generally.The location is good but would be absolutely killer if they could buy the fishing village that blocks 90 percent of the view of the ocean and build out a large deck. Otherwise, a quality restaurant that is a good first step to spending some time on white powder sand beaches.

Tasty food and ok prices. The beach view is mostly blocked but you can see it if you sit in the right spot. Very friendly service. We are gluten free and our waitress read my Swahili Celiac card carefully and gave lots of advice on what to eat safely.

Food served quick and amazing taste!

...the atmosphere is just wonderful, overlooking the ocean and with a cool breeze in your face. Always a good place to spend time with family. Clean and very welcoming. The catch of the day is always a good choice any day.... and the best Beef Burger anywhere on the island as far as Im concerned!!!!

Reasonably good fish curry but nothing special. Fast & friendly service (was very quiet). Wasnt that much cheaper than other restaurants, could probably do better.

An awesome place to eat. The only downside is that most of the time the place is crowded and foods finish fast. Chances are you wont always get the complete menu you want.

A very tasty resturant right on the beach. The food is amazing, especially the avocado burger. Its a good place to relax during the day and charge your phone.

Standard of the place has greatly reduced since they moved to this current location.Now hidden behind the boat yard, the outdoor sitting area is hot and noisy whilst indoor is hot and gloomy.The food is average but the price is for upper scale food.Wasnt impressed.

Best coffe and juce in Stonetown

After having visited several restaurant in quest of a clean place with a mouth-pleasing taste, upon recommendation of an acquaintance, we came here, which satisfied us in the end. If I went to Zanzibar again, I would eat in this restaurant.

The food is fine, the day before yesterday I had prawns that tasted really well and today a swordfish that was excellent.

Delicious food, but overpriced. Understandably its near the beach, except you cant see it, so you could get similar quality food at a similar setting, for a cheaper price.
