Everything about this trip was effortless perfection from the moment we arrived till our airport transfer home. Our shoes were taken to our rooms on the first day and were left untouched for the next 4 days as we enjoyed pristine white beaches and the most relaxing holiday I can remember.Our friendly butler Pandu was attentive and very helpful. Our 10 meals prepared by the talented chef Jenn and her team were delicious, consistent and faultless. Everything on the menu was great but special shout outs to Jenns walnut pie, fish tacos, grilled pineapple and caramelised onion burger, chocolate torte, passionfruit curd and the amazing fermented chili salsa. I would return for Jenns food alone.The rest of our time was spent relaxing as the island is quiet in the best way. There are just 10-20 guests, each in a private villa, getting away from the world. We snorkelled with a pod of 18 dolphins (one baby), we learnt to scuba dive with the patient and knowledgeable Chris and Haji and had incredibly relaxing massages from Sami. Managers Yuri and Ash sit with guests every evening to chat and check on your stay. Daily sundowners, coffee in bed, indoor and outdoor showers were all brilliant touches. I kept thinking what a great place it is for a romantic getaway.One caution/highlight (depending on your perspective) is that the rooms are open to the elements. You might encounter a little crab, cicada or gecko on the way to your bathroom, or have a cheeky bird try steal an unattended biscuit, but this honestly never disturbed us. It felt like a 5 star Swiss Family Robinson experience and par for the course on a private island. No plastic on the island and a great example of ecotourism.My only drawback was the occasional mosquito bites. There is natural citronella oil in every room but Id pack bug spray next time for some added protection.As we left, a family on the island told us they have visited every year for 15 years. I can see why. Mnemba Island is a special place that I cant wait to go back to and will recommend to everyone. Well done AndBeyond, you have 4 new loyal customers from Dubai.

There is a pretty price tag for this luxury, but still one of my favorite spots to unwind. And as a diver, in which, I have dived all over the world, this place still holds a special place in my heart. 💗

I just returned from 3 nights in Mnemba Island (as part of our honeymoon) & I wish we could have stayed much longer. This place is paradise on earth. (And we travel a lot!) If you like swimming with wild dolphins, amazing snorkelling meters from your banda (gorgeous bungalow), spectacular diving, paddle-boarding into the sunset, or relaxing in total seclusion .. this place is for YOU. Oh, and the food is amazing. I loved every moment!

Africa at its finest. We swam with dolphins, sailed a Dhow, walked on miles of pure soft sand and enjoyed delicious gourmet meals. We rested, relaxed and recharged in this idyllic setting. Powdery white sand and crystal clear water. We are truly blessed having one the top green turtle nesting sites. We run conservation programmes. A paradise situated on a private island, these 10 simple-but-luxurious palm-frond bandas (cottages) lie hidden in a tropical forest fringed by a white beach. A covered walkway leads to a shuttered en suite bathroom with a huge, glass-beaded shower. Zanzibar is famous for its intricate, detailed woodcarvings, and beautiful scrolled headboards on the beds showcase the work of the island’s skilled artisans. Each banda is built of indigenous materials and has a private beach with traditional Zanzibari sun-beds. The views to the beach and Zanzibar beyond are wonderful from the thatched dining and sitting/bar areas. Baskets of fresh fruit, fish, lobsters, crabs and prawns are sailed into Mnemba daily to create wonderful, fresh meals. Definitely the most beautiful place I have ever seen is true the mnemba atoll is forbidden, but near the low tide there are splendid sandy tongues that create a very small atoll and you find yourself in an atoll even smaller than mnemba to watch it
