Other then gelato they also do pizza and burgers. The tunafish burger with fries costs only 10,000tzn which for the size and taste is a good deal.

We just kind of stumbled upon this place. It was a delicious break from the heat. 2 scoops cost 6000 shillings (in a bowl. A cone is an extra 500 shillings) Well probably go back before we leave Stone Town.

Its surprising to see gelato shop in Africa. Although limited flavours to pick, good quality in deed. And price is surely friendly. Will visit again.

Incredibly disappointing to my expectations!Ice cream costs like in Europe but local employees earn one tenth of the European salary here! The tastes are always the same and offer nothing exceptional or typical that you would have expected! Frequented mainly by foreigners and rich residents. I lost my time...

Super Nice staff (all females), wonderful ice cream and desserts, cute shop with ample place to sit, and the best thing is they are open till 10:30 PM while almost everything closes at 10PM in stone town.

Ive only had the Gelato here so can only review about that.The quality has greatly reduced this past year. They used to make great flavourful gelato but now its icy and melts right away. The flavours are also a bit boring, mango, masala, passion fruit, chocolate.There used to be Chilly flavour which was my favourite.

One of my favourite places in Zanzibar. They serve very good gelato. Rainy season in Zanzibar is very humid and hot. Tamus gelato saved my life. Pizza is also good.

Pretty good ice cream and a great price on a burger, fries, drink and a scoop of ice cream (10,000 TSH as of writing). They do have pizza by the slice or made to order, but the burger deal is worth coming for.

My fav place in stonetown to hide from the hot sun. Very delicious icecream and they have local delights such as Hibiscus, Tamarind, Lime, Baobab, etc.My personal favourite is Hibiscus and Lime icecream. Very refreshing.Price is very reasonable. 1 scoop is only 2500TZS.

I picked icecream and brought it to table... and the icecream was already melted. Nutella and Pineapple taste very good but Vanilla wasn’t for us.

Ice creams are dilicious but the staffs are kind of meanEverytime they give you in take away glasses even though you tell them you want to eat thereAnd then they will say they dont have water for washing them (that happened when the fat lady served us)

Tamu Gelateria Italiana goes to be the best place to buy ice cream in Stonetown.We tried many different tastes. Both adults and children were pleased.

We spent eight days in Zanzibar, an exotic and mysterious country for its sociable population for its wonderful fruit and fish.We went to the TAMU ice cream shop and the owner, named Paolo, not only fascinated us for his stories and adventures but also dispelled the consideration that outside Italy it is impossible to find those who prepare fresh pasta .. Bravo Paolo continues to bring ahead the traditions of Italian cuisine

Excellent burger menu, we did not taste the pizzas but they look just as good, ice cream succulent houses, a staff at the top and the charismatic boss, nothing to say more than to spend if you visit Stone Town!

Absolutely tasteless ice cream. It reminded me of the cheapest popsicles, which when melted turn into water. There is nothing to do with Italian gelato. Perhaps other products here are more successful.
