Quite dirty, rooms could need a good cleaning. Breakfast poor. Beds comfortable, some with Mosquito Net some without. Towel and toilet paper is provided if you ask, no soap. People who work there are very friendly. At night it is very loud (you hear the people talking on the street) as it is in the middle of Stone town - I didnt mind, as I wanted to be close to everything.
This is a low budget hotel in the city center. We came without booking and got a nice room. The facilities and everything were okay, the staff was nice.If you are noise-sensitive this one maybe difficult for you since prayers in the mosque next to it start at five in the morning.
It is nice place to sleep for locals
Good for one night of passage.Clean and cheap.Good wifi.Bedrooms are small and dark and old. But clean and fresh. Good mosquito net. Dont expect a hostel at all, just a room to spend the night.
Stayed here for one night. Definitely not worth the price you pay. Location is central, but the place is very poorly maintained. The mosque next door will blast prayers every now and then, and the windows are always open with no way to close. Moved the next day.
Paid 32,000 TZS (US$20) for a shared-toilet double in November 2011. Warning: There is a 4:15 AM call to prayer daily from the loudspeaker 10 meters outside non-closing bedroom windows. Bug nets were provided, which is necessary without window screens. Breakfast was good with fruit, coffee/tea, bread and spread. Great location though.
Cheap place so if you werent prepared and didnt plan you can safely go there (you can find a better airbnb for the same price). There is aircon, fans, mosquitp net, fridge. Basic conditions. And bathroom is not the cleanest, with low pressure in the shower. Breakfast is ok: bread with some spreads, egg, a piece of banana and mango. Place for budget travellers.Very well located 2min from Lukman Ma Sha Allah and the little local place run by one beautiful lady which have the best and cheapest food in Stone Town.
Accommodation is cheap and reasonably clean and practical rooms give you a good deal. Has Wi-Fi surprisingly fast and reliable. Its bang in the middle of Stone Town as well
If you want to know and feel the atmosphere of Stone Town is the best place for a few days stay. Clean rooms and the breakfast very nice and helpful staff.
Directly opposite the masjid, friendly people - wifi could however improve. This is cheaper accommodation, so dont expect luxury.
The guest house is situated in the heart of stone town and affordable prices
Norrow streets, may be ifficult to find but very funny to walk around
Great guest house. All the best.

Rather run down, but clean. Noisy neighboring streets until late at night. Good central apposition and perfect for a night on a budget. To bargain.
Accommodation as from the 30s of the 19th century. No windows. Next time I wouldnt even take it for free. There is no European standard. Rooms without window filling, dirt, noise, stink. The owner gave us a room and then wanted a surcharge for the toilet.
Worse, Ive never been.
What you need to stay one night. Its cheap and only offers the bed
Neither is a nice area, but the hotel is clean
Can accommodate
