Much different experience from snorkeling on the east coast, Mnemba Island! Over There was lots of fish but so many boats, it was crazy busy. Here in Stone Town it was more about the coral reef, which was beautiful, and much more relaxed. We preferred it over mnemba. One ocean did a good job of providing equipment and a good guide.

One Ocean staff made our first diving experience so enjoyable we cant wait to go again. Great place for beginners as the staff are very patient!

Best Dive Center in Zanzibar! Snorkeling for me and scuba diving for my boyfriend was so much fun. A very professional team was guiding us both with high safety standards and a lot of underwater knowledge. Especially as a snorkler you usually just go by yourself, but One Ocean even make sure, that we snorkeled at different dive sites and had a guide to show us all the fish. We liked the eco- and reef-friendly way of operating the tours. No chasing of dolphins and other big fish, no touching of corals and even remind you on using reef-friendly sunblock. We can highly recommend this professional team where you will always feel save in there high quality equipment. It is a dangerous sport where One Ocean makes sure you are safe while having fun and knowing some secret dive spots ;-)Will be back for sure!

Staff very nice, professional, accommodating. Safety and general rules for diving were followed. Each person was treated as an individual with their special needs in mind. Equipment good shape.

Had an amazing time with the One Ocean Stone Town crew. We saw a sea turtle, dolphins, and all types of fishes. I did the Open Water Training Dive with the E-learning. Aakash was a wonderful diver instructor who was patient and very clear with the instructions. Would strongly recommend the dive centre to all levels.

They did not show any real interest in verifying the dives once we finished. The receptionist told us she would help us out and after we left Zanzibar we received no answer at all. They sent us the wrogn QR code and they do not care at all. Not a great experience. I will never recommend it, there are many other companies in the island that offers diving experiences

The staff if One Ocean are amazing! You begin your trip by working with Maggie and Gail to schedule dives - this is so painless and smooth, they go out of their way to make it easy.The instructors are patient and so very skilled, if you are looking for a place to become a certified diver this is the place to go. My son went from being very nervous to being very confident and comfortable - this is 100% due to the patience and skill of his instructor.The DMs are also wonderful, there is someone for everyone at OO. Just tell Maggie or Gail what your dive style and they will put you with the perfect guide. I always do e with Amani and I have never been disappointed.Thanks to Dale, Amani, Mimi, Maggie, and Gail for another amazing trip.

I had a great time with One Ocean in Stonetown and Matemwe. The Guides Juma and Osman did a great Job. Aswell the rest of the Team was so helpful and welcoming :) If i come back to Zanzibar i will sure Dive again with One Ocean.

Amazing service from the staff. I came in with no certification with a friend. They took us to a swimming pool for day one and we trained in there. The trainer was patient as we both were first timers. We eventually got through that. The next day we went for two dives both were with professionals that guided us through the whole thing. It was an amazing experience and we had so much fun. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to try scuba diving and living in stone town. I felt safe the whole time.

A wonderful, fully certified dive shop! My friends and I went on a guided dive and it was a wonderful experience. The day before the dive we met at the shop and did a practice pool dive to get used to the equipment. I appreciated this because I was a little nervous to begin with but they really helped me calm down.The morning of the dive we met at their shop and walked down to their boat on the beach. They took us to a couple of cool spots including a shipwreck. The guides were very helpful and took excellent care of us. We all had a wonderful and safe time. My friends and I would definitely dive with these mates again.

Did the Padi Open Water Course with Mimi for theory (Day 1) + Dale for practical (Days 2-4). Both were great. Particular commendation to Dale whom was an excellent tutor + was very accomodating/supportive when I had persisting right ear pain after my initial dives on D3. His techniques (regular equalisation) including extra time given for it meant my D4 of diving was really quite fun. Highly recommend.

We first visited One Ocean in Stone Town 20 years ago when my wife and I did our original dive certification. This time around we had a fantastic experience with them once again. David on the desk helped us with accommodation problems on arrival and also helped book a spice tour. We had a extended family emergency while we were there and they were very thoughtful and helpful which was greatly appreciated. Our 14 year old daughter did her open water diving certification with them and she was in excellent hands with her instructor, Eva. I would give our highest recommendation to them.

Such experienced and friendly instructors. Very patient with their students. Facilities and equipment are top class. Love the fruits and snacks during the trips out. Highly recommend this dive center. Boko was my instructor, what a great guy.

Had a great day diving from Stonetown with these guys. From the first Hello in the shop, to the people on the boat, to finishing off, all the staff have been helpful, friendly and cheerful. Throughout both dives I felt secure and well guided (I havent had a lot of experience in diving yet so this was important to me), and I saw lots of cool things (including an old shipwreck!). If I ever come back to Zanzibar, this is the place Id go to for diving!

Warm and friendly staff whose attitude reflect the seriousness of what they are offering. A lot of explanation is given. This diving centre follows a very inept safety code of practice; with preparation been given a day before the actual event takes place. Prices are clearly displayed so you know what you are paying for; but above all this its the safety drill demonstrated by very knowledgeable staff that gets my vote. A great experience wrapped up in safety enjoy!

I had the most wonderful time diving with One Ocean at their Matemwe site. The staff is so friendly. I was traveling alone and ended up diving with One Ocean for 3 days. I was greeted so warmly and made to feel at home! All the guides are great (special thanks to Raha and Amani!). There are many dive sites close by with so many fish!!!! All 6 dives were great. I want to return to Zanzibar just to dive again with the awesome crew at One Ocean Matemwe. Cannot recommend more highly!One tip, take the motion sickness pills they have at the centre. I never get sea sick but needed them on these trips. It can get a bit wavy.

We went there for snorkeling on the 3.10.2019. The trip was absolutely horror. More than the half of the group was getting seasick. The waves were too high, but the operater doesnt cancle the journey. Its just all about the money. A lot of people had heavy healthproblems on board. The Guides dont care about these people, they just sit there, laugh and speak to each other. The divers are important for the enterprise, the snorkelers could probably die and the crew wouldnt care about that.

We had a lovely dive today. Lots of new species to see. Kevin found a nudibranch for me and fought off some clown fish. It was very nice because my friends were able to snorkel. This is a very organized dive shop. I would recommend it for anyone that loves to visit the sea.

Very good place to plan your local snorkling or diving tours. Very good service and great gear. However i made the mistake to choose too small flippers and had scratches on my feet after the tour. But again, i loved the snorkling and the food they provided between the two diving sites.

A wonderful place to see the sun set. The white sand beach over the Arabian shore is wonderful, clean water, full of people local and international, all enjoying in their own ways. Bikini and Burka, Both go simultaneously and may be that is another beauty of this place.

My friend and I went with One Ocean diving nearby Menmba Island at the north Coast and really was amazing to see such sea life at 10m depth. We went to the aquarium and Tortle Verff at depth 16m. We were lucky to see the two green turtles. It was my first time. Service at dow ship was really excellent and lovely staff at Matemwe Beach Village and Blue Bay Resort and Spa.

A superb experience! I booked 2 days before my arrival via WhatsApp, everything went very smoothly. I was lucky enough to be the only client on the boat for my two dives, surrounded by a great team, very caring and organized. The sites are beautiful, Stone Town is a hidden treasure! We took part in snowkeling, during the fittings for the equipment we asked for long wetsuits, they arrived on the day with short ones…First dive spot full of jellyfish but beautiful. Then there were dolphins but we only stopped for 3 minutes because this is not the purpose of the ride…. Last magnificent spot!

I went to see a wreck and I was disappointed. They were € 125 for two dives, a scarce lunch and the painful boat. The best people you know
