New restaurant in the area. Nicely decorated. Very friendly staff especially Luis, always smiling.

Dont eat here the food is not safe to eat!if you have to eat here avoid all animal based food!!!! The buscetta was okey and the rooms and the pool are in a pretty good shape.You will never come again.

Nice place and decoration, waiter was friendly and food came relatively fast. They have a proper pizza oven (which was not hot enough unfortunately) and you can also see the chefs make the food, very nice. Four stars because although the pizza was good, the one at Baladin was better... which is a shame for a place called Five Star Italian with quite high prices.

New Italian restaurant very well decorated. Very friendly staff and good service. Great menu with lots of options for pasta, pizza, salads, fish and seafood. Prices not that cheap, but I’d recommend for a good Italian meal in Pingwe.

Waste of time, money, energy, everything! This is the worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. The Kenyan woman that works there was so rude and literally kicked us out after they gave us a wrong order and a plate of food with particles in it.Keep in mind there were no other patron there and the waiter barely spoke English.I would not recommend this place to my enemy.

I live locally and this is without doubt the best place for Italian food in the area, perhaps the whole Island of Unguja, Zanzibar!? The vegetarian pizza is excellent as too are the staff and in case you feel like going for a swim after your meal there is a huge family friendly swimming pool and sun loungers so you can chill and enjoy a few of their cocktails. Worst service of waitors not speaking english and bringing wrong food. Foil in food. Extremelly rude Kenyan owner. We ordered 5 pasta , non tasted well. Asked to pay for drink we never ordered and brought guard to insult us. Also cancelled taxi she ordered for us before for complaining about foil in the food.

We left without eating after more than an hour due to the complete absence of service. We ordered a pizza and a salad for sharing starters and then 4 main courses. After an hour, they mentioned that due to electricity problem they had delay (a joke since the pizza could have been made in the pizza oven but they had not started yet, and the salad does not need electricity to be made). Not talking about the mango and carrot juices that could not be made within the hour (we have been asking many times). Service seemed to be even worse than the low average.

Worst experience I have had. The food had foil in it and they didn’t care, It took too much time to come, the Kenyan server was extremely rude, as a Kenyan, I would say that she is an embarrassment to Kenyans. I would not recommend anyone to eat from them. Waste of time.

Amazing food by a couple from Italy and Zanzibar. Ambiance and service was great too. Worth a stop if you are passing through.

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. Stay away from a place that the staff completely disregards the customers because we complained of having foil paper in food and the service was extremely slooowww. The food was mediocre. The waiter didn’t speak English and there was a lot of miscommunication in our orders

Worst service experience I have ever had, especially from the Kenyan lady. If you want to have a bad mood/ day that is the place to go. Honestly I never thought someone would give me service by shouting at me, being extremely rude and insulting me.

We had two lovely pizzas from the pizza oven that were delicious. Will be back again for sure to try the homemade pasta. Definitely worth a visit.

Horrible service. Funny it’s called 5 star. Food took hours to come and it was just bad. I wouldn’t advise anyone to go there. The reviews were 50/50 but I hoped to get the good service and food that 50% were talking about but I was just disappointed. I have now learnt to trust reviews and actually not hope for better.

Worst service and food with steel. Complains not accepted, instead rude Kenyan owner harrasing with Masai guards. Also nothing Italian , ordered 5 different pasta for group of friends, none was good.

I would definitely not recommend. Expensive, super bad service, food served in all different orders with many mistakes. Nobody seemed truly concerned.

Great restaurant. We went to lunch several times. Unlike neighboring eateries, it is very clean and comfortable, there is water and a toilet. The kitchen is right in front of you, you can see how and from what they cook. From the beach you need to walk a little into the depths of the village. The restaurant also has a swimming pool, you can combine business with pleasure.

Pleasantly surprised, we were hesitant to go because I did not have enough comments, however when we arrived at the place we loved EVERYTHING: the decoration, the paintings, the details, the pool and the attention of the owner who is also excellent. A place that considers all the details to leave the customer satisfied.Delicious food, I went with my husband, we ordered an octopus entree that was exquisite, then a pasta and a calzone, all very rich in flavor, perfect proportions and prices agreed with the quality and area.100% recommended, sorry to have met you on my last night in the area, its a place to go more than once.
