Everything you need. Simple but very nice, right at the beach. Meals can be ordered but be careful with breakfast: sometimes coffee is already a full breakfast and thats 15.000 TZS. A breakfast with coffee, fruits, eggs, toasts, juice, pancakes is 15.000 as well. The location at the beach is perfect: no loud bars in front of your bungalow but near enough to go there.

A very simple place, rooms are too basic, good rate for pack backers and travelers. Beach is the best as they have a massive beach front.. you can sleep staring at the stars.. good location near all restaurants. You can enjoy sunrise there..

From the warm-hearted welcome of the reception or even the owners themselves, up to the help of organizing your departure back home or to another hotel, I‘ve never felt anywhere more welcomed than at Ananda Beach House. You can truly feel the spirit of this place. How the staff interacts with the guests reflects the open minded, inclusive culture of the owners.They provide anything that is needed on such an Island. You can rent high quality kite surfing gear (Caipirinha Kites and Brunotti boards) or if you’re a beginner, get yourself some lessons from the best teacher I had so far.If there’s no wind, one can also rent the electrical bicycles for a nice ride along the beach. They actually go up to 45km/h 😄 Also really cool are the glass boats. In the turquoise blueish water definitely an experience to take home!There’s no drifters or B4 playing loud music all night next door. You can therefore fully enjoy the lovely decorated, clean huts and rooms.The food is just mouthwatering. The Chef can fully adapt to your wishes if you give him enough heads up time.If you want to do yourself a favor in Paje, book a few nights at Ananda Beach House and you will see - you can always check out but you can never leave.Disclaimer; I’m a became a huge fan of Ananda Beach House after staying at many other hotels in Paje and seeing the different mentalities around those places. Super friendly and accommodating owner. Some rooms have AC with hotel style and some are the African style bungalow which are also very nice but don’t have AC. They have ceiling fans.Quite and peaceful place, there’s a restaurant 15 second walk from rooms. Nice family oriented place.

My stay was excellent, directly on the beach facing the beautiful Turquoise Ocean, under the stars, the place is just a dream place also the Hotel was renovated on Dec 5th 2021 and is not longer a beach house ! Now its a Hotel with new Management, all rooms are renovated and also have AC and water heater along with private Bathroom for each room.

Absolutely worth paying for it.Rooms are clean and well maintened. Staff is also so friendly and helpful, I moved here after staying in different place and honestly, the price is exactly the same, but the quality is much much better.Direct access to the beach, nice and good value food. Its good idea to order some fish few hours before, so they can actually organize the freshest one.Location is great too, dala dala stop is few mins walk, plenty of restaurant and shops around. If someone want to do some tour or kite surfing, its all around.Highly recommended!!

Well what can I say about this place. This tranquil beach house has everything you could wish for from Zanzibar. From the home cooked breakfast in the morning to the super friendly staff, my time here was magical.I was suppose to stay only a few nights but ended up staying for 5 nights it was that kind of atmosphere. During the off season the area is quite and most places don’t have guests but this place was full the whole time I was there I met a lot of people and made some great friends.I stayed in both a dorm and double private room. Both where super clean and had a turn down service every day. The showers and bathroom are great too.You could not be located any closer to the beach they have a secluded garden with swings and loungers that open on top only what can be described as a paradise beach it was such a stunning place.I want to say a big thanks to Marie and the team at the beach house for making my stay truly memorable.

Fair price. And amazing vibes.I stayed at this guest house for about a week on a very cheap price for the low-season. Only $10 a night in the 6 person dormitory with a shared bathroom (cold shower). Mary the manager was absolutely lovely, helpful in kind. The place also offers a nice breakfast for $3. Wifi was fairly decent for African standards. The best part about this place is the beautiful beach right in front and the great backpacking community it hosts. I had seen several hostels in the area with cheaper beds but i am happy i chose the slightly more expensive but all the more enjoyable.

Another day in Paradise. This place is so amazing. You dont expect it, when the taxi is bringing you there, as you pass a lot of local old houses. But suddenly it appears in front of you. A wonderful area with good beach access, nice service (thanks to Angel who welcomes you warmly) and beautiful rooms. If you have questions, there is always someone you can ask. They prepare tasty smoothies, organizing taxis and bikes for you and help you with a lot of information. I really loved this place. Hope to be here again soon. :-) Thanks for the great stay.

Friendly staff, nice bungalow but super loud bass music from the bar next to the place all night Long. Sleeping is hardly possible. If you seek peace I can not recommend.

Beautiful guest house for among the best prices on all of Zanzibar. The workers are all super welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. This place may not have the luxury of nearby much more expensive places, but it is as nice as you need it to be (and more!) to enjoy Paje. They have universal plugs, excellent showers with only cold water in the communal shower and hot/cold in the private rooms, and beautiful Oceanside views!

This place has an absolutely incredible atmosphere. The owner, Elena, is super friendly and hands on whenever you need help. Private beach entry is also super convenient. Close by there are many restaurants both local and European. I would recommend everyone who is considering staying in Paje.

Very cozy, comfortable and nice hotel to stay in Paje Beach 🏖. We really appreciated the welcoming by the staff. Elena gave us practical information about the different things to do in Paje (including parties), even where to withdraw money 💵, and also a map of the island 🏝.The location of the hotel is very nice in front of the sea 🌊, with good restaurants around. Well, if you like hot water, you should not worry in Ananda house 🏡.

A piece of heaven on earth, Located right on the beach in a central area on the beach of Paje🏖. When I arrived, Ciprian received me with a big smile and kindness😁 . Throughout my stay he gave a homey feel, provided useful information and everything in a pleasant and positive atmosphere. I slept in a bungalow that was spacious, clean and cozy. The yard is beautiful and has comfortable tanning beds🌞😎. When you get enough Sun, there are some that located in the shadow, so you can enjoy reading a book or just rest⛱. There are also a comfortable swing and a hammock, where I spent hours.. At the mornings I had delicious breakfasts🥗, thanks to the excellent chef Anu👨‍🍳. I wish I could stay longer and definitely will back there in my next visit in Paje!💜💜💜

This spot is amazing; just in front of the beach, restaurants nearby, kitesurfing rentals nearby too, you can sometimes have lunch/dinner in the same place for a very low price and high quality, all very clean and smooth.People working here are 10 stars, always a smile and Ciprian (Romanian) the manager knows the business and will give you the best advices/places/deals to enjoy your stay.It’s important to add that the WiFi here is the best one I’ve tried in all Tanzania.I looked for at least 7 places before getting here and I’m sure this is the best quality/price place in Paje.

I was their first camper! They were booked up but my friends were staying there so Ciprian let me pitch my tent in a nice secluded corner. A really relaxing but fun place to be. Wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks guys!

Right in the center of Paje, Ananda is a beautiful and blissful place, where you can enjoy the best sand, view and local entertainment. The host is very helpful, nice and sociable, so our stay was as good as it can get.We recommend Ciprian and Ananda House to every traveler, backpacker, kitesurfer or group.Enjoy Zanzibar! Unfortunately, I rate this accommodation as one of the worst. We paid extra for a room with a view of the ocean, he was probably such that we were looking at him with squares in a mosquito net. Right outside the window was a sitting area for everyone, where breakfast was served in the morning, so in the evening absolutely no peace, because the locals talked there. About 11 pm, the woman even lit a joint there, so everything went into the room. Im not even talking about the fluorescent lights that shone on the room. At about 3 in the morning, a woman was there fighting for dogs who go there and fight together. At 4 in the morning there were men fighting for each other, so if you want at least a little privacy, choose other accommodation or bungalows. Shower and toilet together, with the fact that it was in the kitchen. The shower is silena, a piece of some faucet bumped into the wall, and when you go to the toilet, everyone knows about it because its also in the kitchen.

The bungalows are great, the room with a sea view absolutely bad, right behind the window is a large table where people sit having fun smoking cigarettes and joints and the smoke goes into the room. If you want to sleep it is absolutely not possible, the room is right next to the entrance. The shower is shared, old and disgusting, next to the toilet this is located next to the kitchen, so you have no privacy. The staff is helpful.

Be careful, they are scammers. Booked this hotel through booking.com, the hotel debited the prepayment. Then I had to cancel the booking due to COVID 19, the cancellation according to the terms of the booking.com rate should have been free. But the hotel did not return the prepayment, despite my numerous requests personally and through booking. They just ignored all my requests. The money helped to return booking. Also, the hotel is prohibited from drinking alcohol throughout the territory. But there was no warning or information about this, you are simply presented with a fact. Reason: respect for the Muslim traditions of the hotel owner. I have great respect for any religious tradition, but I believe that the hotel should inform about its rules before making a reservation.

Beautiful place to spend a few days. The situation of the accommodation is incredible with a beautiful beach on the doorstep. The piece of private beach they have is very inviting and very cool. The rooms are very clean, I stayed in a room for two that overlooked the reception and it is true that in the morning when the staff arrives you hear everything.The. Breakfast costs 3 dollars per person per day and is delicious, they serve it to you from 8 oclock and in my opinion they should start serving it earlier since it dawns very early. The site is recommended and very quiet.

We stayed quibper for 3 days in August 2019 (this summer). We booked a palm bungalows with private bathrooms. Fabulous to get out and have the dawn right at his feet from the room and also it is fabulous. Highly recommended

My worst experience.While the price is really cheap but given the excellent reviews I thought it would be a nice surprise. It was a nightmare.The safe for our valuables was broken. No cold or lukewarm water, we had to wash ourselves with the toilet jet ....Microscopic chamber without mosquito net with a foul odor.A hole in the door, allowing insects to pass.Faced with all the issues the host just smiled telling us she was going to fix the problem the next day.We would have preferred to be warned direct that our room was a dump with no security.And the worst part, in the middle of the night the fan let us go .... and of course no one was present at night.We had booked for 5 nights, but only had one, we left. I understand the principle of low-cost but safety and minimum comfort were not at the rendezvous.An extra star for breakfast and location.

I really like it here! First line to the ocean, no pseudo-massai, kiters, many people play sports! The hotel itself is very beautiful and well maintained, constantly cleaned, keep order, everywhere there is video surveillance! The only thing that didn’t really like it was breakfast, a small portion, fruit rolls mixed in a plate for 100 shillings for two, one egg and a banana sometimes! Its not worth all this, and 3000, and pay 7000! I hope that breakfast will soon be included in the price, but the cost itself will not change))) thanks for a great stay near the white sand and gorgeous ocean! The owner of the hotel is an excellent, cheerful and fair person!
