If I could, I put 0 or -1 star for the manager/the person with whom we discussed the price. He/She told us to book directly for a better price, but finally, we were charged the same price as booking.com. Also, zero for facilities. We stayed for one night. The next morning, it was raining and some beds got wet due to rain!However, I added a 2-star review, due to very friendly staff, especially the woman at the reception.

It was very beautiful, peaceful, nice. The people there are so good. Customer care is paramount. I would recommend everyone to go there.

I would like to review massage therapist: Paji. Everyone visiting her will leave totally relaxed! Her saloon is on the New Jambo site and she offers not only massage but pedi/manicure and other beauty therapies. Deep tissue is amazing! All knots and stress is removed during session. Paji has magic hands! Best massage ive ever had ( i had many if them!) thank you Paji for resolving my health issues!

The pool was great, very large and clean. There is a nice gym set up for people who want to work out. The rooms are basic but satisfactory. Despite what other reviews say, this place is NOT on the beach but the beach is just a short walk away. However, you will have to walk a little ways along the shore to find a nice stretch. Pool made up for it. Seemed like a party place run by a bunch of young guys which isnt my favourite but if you are looking for that you will love it.

Absolutely wonderful staff that make you feel at home. The accommodation is a bit rustic but compared to the prices of other places it is definitely worth the money. Awesome pool and restaurant bar area is very nicely done. The staff are almost family with us and we will definitely miss them.

Really nice staying. We enjoyed it. The big advantage is swimming pool, seats, bar+restaurant. The bungalow was cool. There isnt the door to bathroom (WC and shower), so if you travel with friends, it could be little bit discomfort. The breakfasts were delicious (juice, Tea, coffe, sweet - pancakes, salt - eggs, fruits). They offer kitesurfing course too. 👌👍

Great staff and good facilities. The Bungalows are very clean, with hot water and all you might need.The swimming pool is awesome, very big and perfect to swim.They organize live concerts, volley afternoons, bar events... I really enjoyed my time in New Jambos.The staff is great, very kind and make you feel like at home! Ah! And the breakfast is very tasty!

• The best staff in the world! Ive already visited some of this world and havent had the pleasure of meeting such good staff as at New Jambo Bungls. The manager and bartender Joshua became my favorites for their approach. Always helpful, smiling, funny, talkative, simply the best! (Joshua made the best drinks Ive ever had 😍) Though you cant forget about other employees who did a great job every day. • Kitchen - very good, large and filling breakfast. Dinners even better! We often ate lunches on the beach and honestly those in New Jambo were much better (and cheaper) than those on the city or beach. (We recommend pastas and burgers) This is where I eat octopus for the first time, which was prepared delicious! Words of appreciation for the chef! • Spacious houses, as in the description, we lacked nothing - we knew that these would be typical bungalows and not hotel rooms, so for us they were as they were meant to be. • Close to the beach - approx. 25 meters. Beautiful, clean beach with many bars and restaurants • Super pool - nice, cleaned daily, with clean water and lots of sunbeds around. Ideal during ocean outflow and available for guests 24 hours a day. • Very friendly and family atmosphere 😍· It could be improved wifi because with more people the internet was a little slow. It is a pity that Saturday events no longer take place in New Jambo :( There are no more minuses :)

This place seems to be the hub of Paje. I could be mistaken but in my short stay, I witnessed so many comings & goings here. Everyone comes to the bar here and Id say thats largely to do with the extremely friendly, approachable, professional, down to earth staff, particularly Asante. The locals I met were all so friendly, open to share all they know about their island & even happy to share their joints! The menu offers a good selection too & the food and cocktails are exquisite. Jambo Beach is TYPICAL beach living with simple but clean & comfortable bungalow accommodation that is literally 50-200m from the shore (at high tide), lots of sand of laughter & free love giving it its laid back vibe. Id recommend it if you want a stripped down/true-to-local-life experience of Paje. Also, I didnt get hassled much while here. Perhaps the fact that I visited during low season made a difference but I was able to lay on the beach & not be troubled by beach boys. Also the shared bathrooms were clean during the time I was there. Again this may be because I visited during low season but I didnt once find the toilets unusable or in dirty conditions All in all a good spot with real value for money. Id highly recommend it💫

Expectations are key here. You are on the beach and the bungalows are on the beach. Rooms will have sand in them. The bathrooms are all re-done with great water pressure. Plenty of beach real estate to enjoy. Muzu and his crew took amazing care of us as a couple of backpackers for the week we were there.

Was here 2 years ago.Loved the views right at the beach.Staff was bit money hungry.Not family place, drugs and party.Staff more bussy trying to get white girls then working.Really basic bungalow sand everywhere before we even entered.Had to get water in the nearby hotel.Dont take a cab with them, overpriced and dagerous.

Had a great stay here for the last month. Its such a chill place to hang out and meet new people. Youre not overwhelmed by too many beach boys like in the North. However its difficult/impossible to access banks so bring cash with you from Stone Town.

Arrived to meet a friend at the bar. I went to the bar and ordered a drink then asked for change to pay for transport. The bartender didnt have change (understandable) but then went on to say that I should round up and do something good for once in your life. I dismissed this as he asked the other bar tender if he had change, which he didnt, then he looked at me in the eyes and said this is not my problem. I left my beer on the table and walked out.

Good hotel, nice staff. Breakfasts are classic but delicious: fruits, eggs, fresh juice, butter, pancakes, coffee and tea. Clearly, a big party on Fridays, a lot of fun. Everything in the room had a refrigerator, air conditioning, although it was not used, all the time there was such a wind that the room was fresh. Nearby is a beautiful clean beach, and what warm water.

I recommend all bungalows in Paje to avoid the arch !!!We booked three nights here and I must say that it was a really unpleasant experience ...According to the description on Booking.com, the bungalow is situated 0 meters from the beach, but the distance is unfortunately about 150 meters, if we knew this in advance, we would not choose this accommodation ...In the evening we wanted to take a shower after a long day, unfortunately despite repeated emergencies at the bar, this was not resolved until 2 oclock in the morning ... so we were forced to use water from the pool to wash at least a little ...And another pitfall awaited us the next day, when we wanted to use the local pool !!!! The pool is full of water fleas that will make you feel good !!!As a famous icing on the cake, there was an attempt to complain and leave the hotel, when they counted us one extra night, so after an hour of quarrels, we left and complained about the whole matter on Booking.com.The chapter itself is staff that is dedicated to more ladies from the eastern states and tribute to drugs, which on arrival very willingly and without request will offer ...Once again, be very careful !!! Avoid this accommodation by an arch !!!!An unpleasant surprise awaited us upon arrival - the resort is not on the beach, as stated on Booking.com, but is located about 150 meters from it. The road to it is not very pleasant-across the road and another resort that is under construction.We had two reservations, so we could compare - both bungalows were completely dirty, dusty, the toilet lacked a board, my suspension over the crumbling hammock in front of the bungalow told me that the net was absolutely fine.At half past one in the morning I had to go for a swim in the pool because there was no water in the room and no one was able to solve it in time.In the morning we found out that the pool was full of water fleas, so being in it was like wearing an unpleasant biting sweater.We wanted to solve this immediately upon arrival, but the manager was not present, so I dealt with the situation through Booking.com all morning so that we did not have to pay a cancellation fee when canceling a reservation for the next two nights.A very unpleasant manager was already waiting for us, who required us to pay for two nights, even though we only spent one night here.It turned out to be an argument over the phone with the owner of the resort, who did not come to our request and did not try to resolve the situation in person.So we reluctantly paid for two nights and we will collect this money back via Booking.com.It was a very unpleasant experience and I would like to warn everyone not to go to this place !!!!They should close this horror completely, its just a trap for people !!

I dont write much about the review, but today I have no other choice, because the experience with accommodation at New Jambo Bungalows was tragic. It started with the arrival. The hotel presented itself with zero distance from the sea, but the reality was different. To the sea it was about 150-200m and the road was across the street and another resort. The bungalows and the overall level of the resort was nice 30 years ago. There was not even a toilet seat in the toilet. The water did not flow in the evening and even after a full-length urging at the bar (no other staff was already present) the problem was not solved. The evening short hygiene in the form of a bath in the pool was insufficient. The next day, a bath in the pool gave her a crown. After a few minutes, water fleas pounced on us. We had booked 3 nights here, but on the first day we solved problems with Booking.com, because no manager of this resort was present. The next day around noon, we started to deal with the arrogant staff. After two hours, we agreed to end the reservation after the first day, but this started other problems. The property requested payment of 2 nights. After an hour-long phone call with the manager, we were told that these were just our problems, that nothing really happened and that no one else was complaining, so we have to pay one extra night and go where we want. In the end, we paid and we were glad we didnt have to be in this dusty hole any longer. One more note for the staff. After replacing the first bungalow, in which not even the light was on, the gentleman from the reception asked me if the second bungalow was OK, which stopped me a lot. After the refusal, he looked at me strangely and practically no longer communicated. Virtually all employees were only interested in packing as many women from Eastern Europe as possible and consuming soft drugs than how the whole resort works (it doesnt actually work). In conclusion, I can only state that everyone who wants to enjoy a pleasant stay by the sea and not just enjoy marijuana and sex with local employees, so let this facility avoid a big arc !!!

Loved the rest here! Thanks to the helpful staff for their work. Great welcome, offered a special drink. There is a warm pool on site. Near the bungalow you can relax at a table on your sofa or in a hammock. Breakfast is delicious. Of the minuses: there is no Conder and refrigerator.

Will go for the money, but the basik is dirty, fleas that bite are floating in it. But is this possible everywhere in Africa ?? There was a hole in the bungalow in the toilet, so mosquitoes have open access, and I don’t recommend sleeping without curtains, they didn’t eat at the hotel. Expensive and small portions. I ordered an octopus - I ate something, chews badly, went to a shirin cafe on the corner, they are excellently fed there !!

Quite spartan conditions, but the view from the first lines and the wind from the ocean are priceless. High flow twice a day, in front of the bar, several dozen meters from the shore - algae cultivation. Ok. 10 minutes by the beach to the Market Zone. Bathroom with cold water, moderately clean, often lacking soap and toilet paper, taps and shower run dry. Dark room with no view has ocean - not all beds have mosquito nets, staple door and padlock. The rooms are visited by rats that are looking for food (they will even eat it tightly wrapped in foil) and leave poop. The service was very nice and helpful, but devilishly slow. They easily forget about your order, giving the rest. If you order a meal and ask them to call you when its ready, then you wont wait - better wait at the bar and ask every half hour when theyll serve you. Bar prices: beer 6000, lunch 12000-15000, large water 3000 -BN bar and rooms charging sockets. Breakfast in a part other than the bar, a choice of sweet pancakes or omelette with vegetables, plus juice, coffee, tea - included in the room price. In the bar, there are meetings every day until around 2 am and loud reggae music (cool atmosphere), party on Friday. Next to the bungalows, a kite school - quite expensive, further on the beach it is cheaper, the Squatter instructor learns Polish, also offers accommodation in Arusha (I do not recommend this accommodation, far from the center, on the construction site, micro-bathroom with cold water, far from airports) .

Sometimes night parties are arranged. Until 23-24 pm it is normal, such an international party. Then there is an influx of local people who dance like young Michael Jackson. Lonely white girls stick around like flies.
