Great location in the quiet part of Nungwi. You can see the city as well as the great views of the sea. The rooms are nice and the staff is very welcoming. I recommend staying there for a couple of nights. The food is good and the dancing during the dinner is quite fun ^^

Stayed at this hotel and it was everything I needed and more. My first trip post covid, and it didnt disappoint. Upon arriving I was greeted by Uwe one of the managers there and he literally said welcome to paradise and he wasnt wrong, The resort is on a beach front, when the tide goes out, you see beautiful sandbanks and the most breathtaking views. The sea is super warm even for a morning swim. The rooms are large and very clean, the bed is one of the most comfortable ones I have ever slept on, the first nights sleep there was so relaxing. Breakfast every morning was fresh fruit and juice with a stunning view of the indian ocean. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their face. Free wifi and towels available for the pool area. Already wanting to go back! Thank you for the most pleasant stay :)

My very first stay in the beautiful Zanzibar was made extra wonderful by the warm welcome and care of the staff of Tanzanite beach resort. Every single staff member was so helpful and actually cared that we had a best time from the moment we arrived! They honestly advised on the best spots, times to head out, negotiated best prices for us and safely transported us wherever we needed to be. The resort is stunning and kept in great condition at all times. If you were ever worried about food... let me tell you! Your jaw will drop every day for the exquisite dishes that arrive on your plate. 12/10 for every meal we ate! The chef was phenomenal- he made our birthday so special with cakes and dances! You name it! The resort felt like home and this was due to all the amazing staff! We appreciate you and will always remember you - Mr GM, Chef Dennis, Smiley Simon, Kind Fazhil, Funny Nelson, Sweet Aaliyah, Rukaya, Lovely Lilian, Rashid and all jamming waitresses!!!

The rooms are nice, the service is nice; hence the 2 stars. Now, the truth..it is marked as a beach resort but the beach is stoney which not for swimming or leisure walking, but they do give you shoes if you need to go. The pool is small and filled with salty water. The food is extremely expensive, the portions are small. There is no breakfast buffet, you get 4 options for breakfast with small portions.All in all, great location with amazing view but extremely expensive.

The place was nice and quiet. Meals were excellent and the staff were awesome... Only set back are the mosquitoes so be ready with your repellant. Also try to get them to give you insecticide spray for your rooms. The rooms have mosquito nets though. Also had an encounter with a weird roach-like insect in the room, so best u get them to spray the room before u check in and also periodically.... Asides from that, the place was quite good.Pictures below are :- one is the view from our room terrace and the other is one of the resort security guard (they like to hire masai men as guards) with his trusty rungu stick. Many people believe their rungu sticks are infused with special protective powers.PS: beware of the crows, they like to hang in the rafters of the restaurant area and they are quick little things, with a preference for sausages and pancakes... Lolz. So watch over ur food else a sausage may go missing if you turn around to get something at the buffet table...lolz

The worst resort for 180$ per room, even though they say they have a private beach. One cannot bathe in it as its rocky. However they give you shoes to bathe but is it the same?The swimming pool is one of the selling point but whats the point of a swimming pool if the water in it is salty? One would expect a stomach filling breakfast but no, wait, they give you 4 combos to choose one from. Thats it! If you want more breakfast, you need to pay for it. Theres not a buffet, so do not expect anything fancy. Atlast, the staff was good so giving it two stars or it would have been 0.Conclusion: Not worth the money. Better to spend some more time finding a good resort.

Excellent stay in this resort unbelievable clean and all went so smooth since everybody is very helpful and very nice ..We enjoyed too much we had a great time ..I really wanted to thank every single body working there for their great hospitality and I would give more stars 😅 highly recommended

A rather poor effort at appetisers, prawn cocktail was like finding needle in a haystack of iceberg lettuce, fish cakes were 99.9% deep fried mashed potato, calamari almost saved the day apart from the portion size . Needless to say I wont be eating dinner there now...nor will I ever book a hotel room there again.Edit: Breakfast only compounded our disappointment... the following photos show what we faced 30 mins before breakfast closed today...both hot plates empty apart from some potato salad... for 115 bucks a night this is extremely poor...also saw the chef smoking in the kitchen... management needs to wake up.

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Zanzibar! We were warmly welcomed, The staff was extremely friendly and flexible, supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had wonderful stay here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Tanzanite beach resort all my desires were sorted.

A wonderful place for the guests looking affordable expenses hotels

The hotel is located directly in front of the ocean, rooms are big, fully equipped with AC, hairdryer, towels both for the bathroom and the sunbeds. Breakfast is good but the choice of food is quite limited. The restaurant provides a good variety of local dishes but its quite pricy. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. I had a nice stay, however the hotel is very quiete and there are no activities to do. The resort is located 10 min by car from Nungwui, so if you wanna go out you have to take a taxi (about 7 $ one way), since in the surroundings there is nothing to do. To sum up I would say: very nice hotel but not good located. Higly recommended for families or couples who wanna just relax but not for solo traveler or people who wanna experience more.

The rooms here were very comfortable and the views were lovely. However, I had some issues such as being checked into my room and being told a while later it was the wrong one so I had to move; food being undercooked; doors are mirrored so a raven comes at 6am to peck at his reflection; no cushions out on the deck chairs; dinner menu not always great and pricey for the quality of the food; too far away from a good beach. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. Showers were hot.

Lovely stay in Nungwi, staff very friendly, couldnt do enough for you. Rooms basic but very clean and very nice. Enjoyed our stay here and didnt see much difference in quality between this hotel and hotels such as the Hilton also in Nungwi! Only things I would say that could be improved is if there was a shop to buy things and more activities to do.

As I was the only guest in the whole resort the least they could have done was ensure housekeeping did a reasonable job of cleaning the place. Rule of thumb, When the towels are on the floor they need changing

I love this hotel because it’s so relaxing yet they have a tone of activities that the staff will sort out for you. I’ve been twice and I will be going again this year!To wake up with a beautiful view of the pool or the beach is all you really need when your on holiday.. You don’t need to worry if your a picky eater as this hotel has a variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner .The bedroom was so beautiful, tidy and clean.. One the first day, they provided us with a big bottle of bug spray which I found so good as many other hotels wouldn’t.Overall i would tell all my friends and family to go to this hotel, the auidence is for everyone, doesn’t miss anyone out!This is by far my favourite hotel! It’s Zanzibar and it’s difficult to do bad with this special view on the ocean.The ocean is beautiful but you can’t see it because the bushes and trees.Wi-Fi doesn’t work so much.Room is quite nice but without attention in architectural details.Food is not good and is very expensive for the island; the breakfast is better.If you want to go there I recommend it for family’s group and not for couple.

Tanzanite is a nice quiet place especially for holiday reading. The garden is exquisite and just the place for reflections and meditation. However, they are slow and un adaptive to the changing trends in the Hotel industry. That pudding on that old boat at the restaurant needs to be removed like yesterday. The reception some facelift too urgently required.

We were there for 3 nice days. The complex is well maintained and absolutely clean. The restaurant is great and the staff attentive and very friendly. If you disregard a somewhat defective patio door, everything fits there.

A great place run by people from Tanzania. Nice family atmosphere and friendly staff who are always happy to help.
