Quite a luxurious and classic Hotel. I come here numerous times with my Family members or my Father in most cases to have lunch and dinner. The place has comfy chairs, beautiful lights and well mannered waitresses. Their food is well cook and comes in the best dressing or display. There rooms are also nice looking and clean.

Honestly, this is a nice hotel but the experience narrows down to one thing..food! There food services are bad…pathetic! Your order can take even two hours, is that normal!? If the capacity to work on delivering food is low…WORK ON IT!! It’s really annoying to wait for that long especially if you have kids. The management should really look into this…see the other reviews…same thing! Ah!

The hotel location is great. Staff are very welcoming and professional. Breakfast was good, the bar on the 8th floor had all range of drinks and it is a-must-visit once you are in Mwanza.

I ordered simple food, they took 45 min to deliver and the taste of food was worst and expensive too, I paid for nothing and left the food.However the service staff was good but food is pathetic. I dont recommend this hotel.

Extremely slow Service, very outdated! Menus look so nasty it’s hard to touch them! Overpriced rooms!Took 2.5 hours to get dinner I had gave up asked for the bill on beverages...suddenly very subpar food appeared! We all felt sick after!Great for views maybe a drink or two then move on to Capri point street!

We had our after wedding party there on the rooftop it was beautiful and well managed. The food was great.

I hard a very lovely stay at the hotel with the best customer service, magnificent lake side room that made me see the sun down through the lake. It amazing to see the colours of the sun rays changing the colours of Lake Victoria. I enjoyed nice and delicious meals at the Top Bar. I am crazy with fresh fish meals.I am happy and felt more than feeling home

I enjoyed the 8th floor club and swimming.

Very bad, services are not available, as advertised.Preparation of simple fish n chips taking 1hour and 20mins. Price also double compare to market standard.Most badly the floor manager at the food court, at the evening is very rude, behaved like goons.

I frequent the coffee shop on hotels ground floor. Its never crowded, but some days especially the weekend the seats fill up quickly and you may have to share a booth which can seat four comfortably with other customers.Its quiet, and calm except for the alarms that go of at the entrance.They make a really nice honey ginger and lemon tea which is my go to drink.The place has a view of the town.

Thursday Karioke nights at level 8 bar and restaurant are the best. Situated at the City centre, awesome view of lake victoria and nyamagana football stadium.

I definitely recommend a room on the waterfront side to enjoy the beautiful views. Be aware, though, that if youre there over a Friday or Saturday night, its going to be noisy, even on the highest floors. There is a club diagonally across the hotel where it was clear people were having a great time but it affected my attempts to sleep. Breakfast is okay. Gets repetitive after a couple days.

Its a hotel with plenty of rooms, well decorated and looks stunning as your enter. But The rooms are not well taken care of... bathroom arrangements are poor, no much items to rate it as 3 star hotel. The hotel Manager might be unqualified. The hotel is all about rooms, toilets and all accessories. How csn you put a cheap toilet paper that sticks on you when you wipe your bottom.

Gold Crest Hotel is a very nice Hotels in Mwanza city centre. Rooms are very clean and big enough, the customer service is excellent. You can have a drink at their rooftop bar lounge while enjoying the view of the city and lake Victoria.

Nice rooms but expensive! Food takes waaaay too long and service is quite slow. Roof top offers a beautiful view over mwanza and their coffee shop downstairs has good coffee ( however again slow service ) would honestly only go their for sundowners drinks after work.

This is a 4 star hotel is one among best hotels in Mwanza region located at the center of the city Kenyatta roadThey have bright rooms with air conditioners, wifi, satellite TV and beautiful furniture inside. They also have upgraded rooms with balconies and beautiful lake views.They have nice 2 restaurants with Asian themed dining,a lounge bar as well as rooftop bar, a coffee shop and a club for disco.They also have meeting halls.

Good place, right in the middle of town close to most things youd want, banks, supermarkets etc, some really great lake views from the top floor, the only downside is that theres no gym in the premise... such a bummer

I think this is my favourite place out of all the places/hotels ive visited in my short stay in Mwanza. First they had mojitos which most places dont have, and their food is the best ive had in Mwanza. I ate from the buffet, everything tasted amazing but the starter soup and the fish curry were exceptionally tasty. I dont know about their room services if they are excellent because i didnt sleep at the hotel, just went to the restaurant with my colleagues. Another good thing about it is the good music, also the restaurant is on the rooftop so it gives you a beautiful view of the city and Lake Victoria.

Would have been more stars if the sound proofing on windows is better. You can hear all the traffic noise and also music from the roof and else where. Not a good choice of you need good sleep. Everything else is fine.

Iconic hotel in Mwanza, coffee shop on ground floor (hot lemon being my favorite) with a restaurant different varieties of food, with a large bar called Level 8 summit bar, karaoke nights on Thursdays also a club know as Club Rock bottom a good place to be for party people..they are also on social media which means for more details one can search and the details.

No place to stay during the weekends. The club is pretty loud and the rooms pretty much feel a part of it. To top it off, there is another club right outside the hotel and the screams and music beats last all night long...

There is a restaurant and a swimming pool on the roof. From where you have a nice view on Mwanza city center. Lovely place to take a cap of iced coffee. The food is very simple (nothing special).

Nice view from the rooftop but rather slow service and lack of variety in terms of food. Nonetheless its a quite place where one can actually work or read while enjoying a cup of coffee on lovely morning.

Nice facilities...Ask for rooms with river view....you will love the sunset...Otherwise nothing much to compliment about the hotel...It has a Bar on roof top which plays music on weekends and if you are in house guest be ready for a sleepless night...

I was in Mwanza and one of the hotels I have been to is Golden Crest they have Quality Rooms and Food is Good I remember to enjoy their Grilled poke at the top floor.There is a nice view of Mwanza City during the night.

Very good hotel for the CBD in Mwanza. Things are well maintained and cleaned properly.The rooms are good size with a good size bed which can sleep two though single room.There is a good restaurant on top floor and the nightclub in basement. The hotel is very quiet regardless of having a nightclub and restaurant open to the public.Also not far from the airport but you need to pay for the transfers. The laundry service was one of the quickest for the size of the hotel.Breakfast was also a good variety of good things. Just note that the gym is under renovation and not sure until when. I believe there is swimming pool which I did not have time to check.If in Mwanza to could be one of the choices for you.

Level 8 restaurant has some great food. Their chicken sandwich is great. Their cafe or 1st floor restaurant is a nice place for a cup of coffee or meeting. For the party or club enthusiasts check out the rock bottom club.

Its like the best place to spend your money for relaxation and everything. At the floor, there are ATMs of different banks including CRDB and NMB and its opposite to the commercial bank of Africa so its pretty near bank services in case of any shortcomings

Stayed there last year, too pricey for the service they offer. Bit unorganized compare to low cost hotels in Arusha and Dar es salaam. Need regular upkeep, the balcony door didnt open, very disappointed. Cmon rock city.

Ok hotel, they seem to have done a penny wise pound foolish renovation where they have changed the interiors, floors and so forth of the rooms and corridors whilst leaving the entrance of the room and the bathrooms still having the stone age tiles and sanitary that is going apart.

This is my go to place when in Mwanza. They have clean comfortable rooms with decent breakfast served every morning. Their staff are very friendly and caring. Gold Crest has a restaurant on the 1st floor that offers a variety of cuisines. There is also an open restaurant on the 8th floor that serves delicious nyama choma as well as other grilled items. The only downside is the loud music played there in the evenings which goes on past midnight on some nights. If your room is closer to the top floor the noise is bound to disrupt your sleep.

Worst pizza ever!Premade bottom that tastes like a cake with ketchup and cheese on it. Everything is fried or heated on electric grill. It tastes awfully.+ Really nice view from the roof.

Beautiful hotel right in the middle of town. Very nice basement club and a rooftop restaurant that has different club themes everyday without interfering with the residents.

Noisy street, could not sleep Thursday and Friday because of bars/ discos nearby. Clean sheets but towels less so...ok breakfast, nice staff.
