Extremely friendly staff. Knowledgeable and patient. Place is spotless. Has a rustic feel. Top floor has a bar / hangout area. 500ml beers at TZS 3000. Great WiFi speed. Toilets are large, airy and super clean. Rooms come with fans. No a/c. Pricing is superbly value for money. Restaurant on rooftop also serves delicious fare!A double thumbs up for Agatha from reception and Eden from the restaurant for their superb friendliness and knowledge. Employees of the year!

The sign at the entrance is very small and it used to have a different name (Haria), so it might not be easy to find it. What we liked: Fair prices (50,000 Schillings per night in double room, Beers 3000 on the roof terrace), nice comfortable seats with a view on Kibo and Mawenzi on the roof terrace. Friendly staff. Especially the cook for the breakfast. Clean rooms with big and many windows, decent mosquito net. Hot showersWhat we did not like: Breakfast was not good for vegans (they just reduced the scope by taking everything non vegan away until almost nothing but tea and bread was left) until we made specific suggestions what could be served instead of eggs, pancakes etc. Then it was okay: Fried vegetables, some fr and toast.

Very kind staff!! I appreciated how welcoming the doorman and the ladies at the café and reception were:) there was some miscommunication though....I stayed here and it was covered by my travel agency/ the tour through viva Africa (a company which also operates out of the hotel). During my trek my guide assured me that my stay at Climbers Corner was included in the price of the trek. However we returned a day early from the trek so instead of a 7 day trek it was 6 days. My guide said that it was okay to return a day early and that I could stay an extra night at the hotel & that since they didn’t have to employ the porters or cook that night/next day they’d cover the extra nights stay. However, when I left the hotel the girl at reception seemed confused about the payment. It seems that there is some miscommunication between the travel company and the hotel. It would’ve been appreciated had the company and hotel provided clear information to guests (check out time, information regarding payment etc). I felt that there was some unnecessary confusion during my stay but despite that little hiccup it was great! I just hope viva Africa can organize better and plan out payments properly with the hotel in the future.

The hostel is nice, with few stairs and a nice view of Kilimanjaro from the bar. Cleaning is not his forte. For towels and room cleaning we had to insist. The room with private bathroom is large, very comfortable. The location is excellent. The people are very friendly, but not too decisive.
