Mikumi was our first visit to Afrika. We were flashed by the nature and the wildlife. After arriving with a propeller plane, the giraffes welcome us. It has been an incredible experience. We are thankful for all what we have seen

Saw 4 of 5 of the big 5. Even a Leopard. The facilities arent worth writing home but if you love safaris, you wont be let down.

Phenomenal park. You are guaranteed to see animals. Park isnt crowded or over ran with tourists. Park is $35.40 per person. Bush meal is $5 per person and your hotel prepares it for you before your morning game drive. Park offers night game drive for $59 per person and $29.50 per group for the ranger.Our night game drive ranger st on his phone majority of the time and our driver never read our itinerary and never brought a spot light for viewing at night.NIKOLAS was our favorite ranger who worked here and was a very good man.They have drinks, snacks and small gift shop outside of park before you enter.

It is difficult to watch animals die from dehydration. The animals are very greedy in this park and the water for them is very poorly supplied. Due to the drought, they are running out of water in their only small lake where there is water. Animals are very weak because of this. I think that people there should take more care of the animals, as they are more than obviously in need of help.I liked all the animals there but unfortunately I cant evaluate the park well because I cant ignore the fact that these suffer from poor water supply, which should be taken care of.

This park is in one word: TERRIBLE!!!!There is no water for all the animals. A lot of animals are stuck in the mud. The day we arrived at the park there where 6 dead animals around the almost dried lake. All the other pools/ lakes were already dried out. It’s terrible to see that the animals don’t have water and how tired they are.Do not support this park, clearly the money doesn’t go to the animals.

This park has an abundance of wildlife including lions which we were fortunate to see. The roads were pretty good and the park had good markers and several sites to stop and rest. I think this park is underrated in Tanzania but should be towards the top with its easy access, budget friendly, abundance of wildlife, beautiful landscape, and good roads. We will be coming back..

We took a day trip from Zanzibar to Mikumi and it was an awesome day altogether :) Never a dull moment, highly recommend!

Lots of giraffes, zebras, impalas, wildebeest and buffalo. Spotted elephants and hippos but unfortunately no big cats. Sunrise is beautiful. Free WiFi at the gate.

Amazing experience! So much wildlife inside. There is impala, zebra and wildebeest everywhere you look. Many giraffes, buffalo, warthogs and hippos. Also had 2 cool lion sightings. Great start to the safari!

Mikumi National park, Where you can see wild animals in just the entrance gate. To get the most of Mikumi spend at least 2 nights in the park. The night safari is crazy addictive. The walking safaris is an experience youll never want to miss.

Each person entry fee is 30 usd.For the car rent a short trip, only 3 hours, 120 usd inside the mikumi natioal park. Internet free on the gate. Delicious coffee... nice staff... cheap tshirt and hats...

This national park is absolutely amazing! Its less know so less tourists around! I had my first safari there and it was just awesome! I saw many elephants, giraffes, lions and lion cubs, wild beasts, zebras and many more! Couldnt hope better than that for my first safari! I can affirm with no doubts that you wont be disappointed!

Its a nice place but not so many animals, we stay there for 2 days and didnt see lions and leopard, but there are many elephants and gazella.The ticket fee for resident is 15 USD, and for foreigner is 30 USD.

Driving through Mikumi National Park is one of my favorite thing to do. But Safari and camping is even exciting.Depending on time of the day, there are chances to see variety of animals eating or resting on either side of the road.Even though you need to be careful as there a strictly speed limit rules through out the Park.

Good choice of getaway for Dar es Salaam city and Morogoro. A 2day 1night is my recommendation, this will give you a chance to view early morning wildlife roaming in their natural habitat. The guides are very friendly and helpful. Keep your eyes open and youll see a whole new world. #tanzaniaunforgettable

Excellent option to discover the magnificent wildlife of Tanzania - with 4/5 out of the big five (no rhinoceros), and within 4 hours drive from Dar-es-salam. Its also a good warm up before visiting the bigger parks up north. We went together with my girlfriend and were overall very satisfied with the insights offered by the local guides.

One of the biggest national parks in Tanzania,located in Morogoro Region in Mikumi districts few kilometers from Morogoro town. Here you can get the chance to see different wild animals ,there are these which are easy to see such as Giraffes,Antelopes, Buffalos, Warthogs, Elephants, Monkeys,Zebra and varieties of birds.There is also these hard to see animals such as Lion and Leopard. The park is quite big within it there is a village where people especial the workers of the park live there ,there is school,there is hotels to accommodate visitors. There are different parks staffs you can hire to guide you through the park as well as you can hire the private ones from Morogoro town.

Wasnt lucky to see a Lion but probably it was not my day. we took a little while to go in the park due to procedure on the main gate. and there were lotta people wanted to go in the park. but it was a great experience

Excellent Place to See Wildlife Unbarred . Its a six hour drive from Dar es Salaam City but 100 percent worth it.

The national park is very huge you see different kind of wild animals such as Grafs, deers, Zebras and many other wildlife species in big numbers. It is unfortunate to have the main road that links Dar Es Salam with Mbyea run through the Mikumi National Park. Hence it could create a hazardous environment for the animals especially with the big trucks that run up and down the road 24 hours.

The Mikumi National Park near Morogoro, Tanzania, was established in 1964. It covers an area of 3,230 km² is the fourth largest in the country. The park is crossed by Tanzanias A-7 highway.

What a lovely park. Great for a day trip. Tip: head over to the hippo pool (google maps or follow the signs), and then discover the circuits down south (google maps satellite view helps). Really close. No real need for 4x4 cars in dry season. No real need for a guide. Just you in the car and nature!Hint: calculate fees at the gate. Eventhough the cashiers have computer and calculator got wrongly debited from credit card. Was quite hard to get refund, but made him find a way and got TZS equivalents eventually.

A great place for a game drive, as it has much to offer from the fascinating Hippo pool where both Hippos and crocodile share the same cool water and camps that you can hear the Lions roar but still feel safe. Also a quite and wildlife friendly environment for conferences with good accommodation in the park and at Mikumi town

The park is huge and filled with wild life. But we did not get to see any Lions and Buffaloes, we were told that its best to come very early in the morning around 6am. Besides that, we had a really nice time. There were lots and lots of Giraffes and Elephants, Antelopes and Hippos. All in all, we had a good time.

Mikumi national park is one among of biggest paks i Tanzania located along DAR - IRINGA road in MIKUMI district. In MikumiNP is only place where you can experience the life of wild animals , birds and different infects at the same time.@baddy22
